ACCUSED: Steven R. Vakaros AGE: 23
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to a residence on High Street in an attempt to locate Vakaros, who had an active warrant for his arrest. Police were able to locate Vakaros, who was subsequently lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department in lieu of a $346.00 fine.

ACCUSED: Mark L. Hoyt AGE: 50
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to a residence on Elm Street in an attempt to locate Hoyt, who had an active warrant for his arrest. Police were able to locate Hoyt, who was subsequently lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department in lieu of a $446.00 fine.

ACCUSED: Eric Russell AGE: 19
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 01/30/2010 the Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle on Black Mountain Road for a defective headlight. The operator Eric Russell 19, of Brattleboro, admitted to possessing marijuana and being under the influence of marijuana. During a search of Russell's vehicle officers located three marijuana cigarettes commonly referred to as roaches and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Russell was taken into custody and processed for DUI/Drugs. Russell was cited to appear in Windham District Court at a later date.

ACCUSED: Michael J. Barrett AGE:
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 29, 2010 at approximately 0800 hrs the Vermont Criminal Information Center alerted the Brattleboro Police Department that the accused had failed to comply with the VT sex offender registry. Due to these circumstances Michael was located and issued a citation to appear at the Windham County District Court to answer to his charge. Michael was released upon this citation.

ACCUSED: Nicholas Lapedota AGE: 29
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officer of the Brattleboro Police Department was dispatched to 1988 Marlboro Road for a reported domestic assault. After conducting their investigation Nicholas Lapedota was arrested on several charges to include Domestic Assault. Lapedota was lodged at the Brattleboro Lock up in lue of ten thousand (10000) dollar bail. Lapedota will answer the charges on January 26th, 2010 in the Windham District Court.

ACCUSED: Robert Radcliffe AGE: 30
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Radcliffe had a warrant issued by Cheshire (NH) Superior Court for violation of probation on a conviction of possession of a control substance. Radcliffe was located at his residence and arrested with out incident. Radcliffe will appear in the Windham District Court on January 26th, 2010 and was held at the BPD lock up on $15, 000.00 bail.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to Label Shopper for a reported retail theft. Further investigation revealed that Adler had stolen a single pair of sweat pants. Adler was subsequently cited to appear in Windham District Court at a later date to answer to this charge.

ACCUSED: Lawrence B. Wardlaw AGE: 54
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to Main St. for a motor vehicle complaint. Further investigation revealed that Wardlaw had operated this vehicle. Wardlaw was found to be criminally suspended from operating a motor vehicle in the State of VT. Wardlaw was also found to be on Conditions of Release, forbidding Wardlaw from being charged with a new offense. Wardlaw was subsequently charged with these offense, and was cited to appear in Windham District Court at a later date to answer to these charges.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to a residence on Canal St. in an attempt to locate Mayhew, who currently had a warrant for his arrest. Police were able to locate Mayhew, who was subsequently taken into custody. Mayhew was lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 18, 2010 at approximately 1000 hrs the Brattleboro Police received a complaint regarding a theft of services from a concerned citizen. The reported theft of services took place at Our Place Diner in Brattleboro, VT. After an investigation the accused parties were located. The investigation revealed that the three accused had left the diner without paying for their meals. All three accused were cited for this offense and released to appear at the Windham County District Court on a later date.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Macleod was found to have violated his conditions of release, by not checking in on various days to the Brattleboro Police Department. MacLoed was found to have violated his conditions of release 35 times. Macleod was subsequently charged with this offense, and was cited to appear in Windham District Court at a later date to answer to this charge.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 17, 2010 at approximately 0740 hrs the accused arrived at the Brattleboro Police Department for a check of alcohol consumption in accordance with his court ordered conditions of release. At this time the accused was administered a breath test that revealed he had consumed alcohol. Due to these circumstances the accused was cited and released to appear at the Windham County District Court to answer his charge of Criminal Contempt.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 16, 2010 at approximately 1108 hrs a Brattleboro Police Officer initiated a motor vehicle stop for a traffic violation. The accused was identified as the operator of this vehicle. After an investigation it was revealed that the accused was under criminal suspension in the State of VT. The accused was then arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. The accused was later released on citation to appear at the Windham County District Court.

ACCUSED: Theodore L. Frink, Elizabeth K. Gerry AGE: 45,18
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to a residence on Horton Place for a reported disturbance. Further investigation revealed that Gerry had broken a window to this residence. Gerry was subsequently charged with Unlawful Mischief. Frink was found to have threatened a resident via telephone, and had acted in a threatening manner while outside the residence. Frink was subsequently charged with Disorderly Conduct, and Disorderly Conduct Via Electronic Means. Both Gerry and Frink were cited to appear in Windham District Court at a later date to answer to these charged.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Tina Fisher as a Fugitive from Justice. Fisher had an arrest warrant issued by Cheshire County Court for Fraudulent use of a Credit Card. Fisher could face up to seven years in prison in New Hampshire. Fisher was ordered to appear before a Judge in the Windham District Court on January 15th, 2010 to determine if she would go back to New Hampshire.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Brattleboro Police conducted responded to 45 Chestnut Street for a citizen dispute. When Police arrived they met with Alicia Porter. After a short investigation Porter was arrested for fighting with her aunt and uncle. Porter was processed at the Brattleboro Police Dept. and release on a citation to court on a later date and time.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police responded to a residence at Mountain home trailer park in an attempt to locate Allen who had an active warrant for her arrest. Allen was also found to be in possession of marijuana. Allen was lodged at the Brattleboro police department in lieu of a $386 fine.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: : Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canal St. Further investigation revealed Helyar to be the operator of this vehicle. Helyar was found to have a Blood Alcohol Content of .358%. Helyar was subsequently charged with DUI. Helyar was cited to appear in Windham District Court at a later date to answer to this charge.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police were contacted to investigate possible check forgery. Further investigation revealed that Washington was in possession of stolen checks, and had attempted to use these stolen checks. Washington was currently being held on an unrelated arrest warrant, was and cited to appear in Windham District Court on 01/14/2010 to answer to this charge.

ACCUSED: Juvenile male AGE:
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Brattleboro Police Officers arrested a juvenile male after he left the Hannaford's Grocery Store, located on Putney Road, with items that he had not paid for. Store staff detained the male until the officers' arrival. The male was issued a citation to appear at a late date to answer the charge of Retail Theft and was also issued a trespass after warning for the store.

ACCUSED: Jeffery S. Koziara AGE: 40
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police were dispatched to a reported assault that was taking place at the Lamplighter Motel. Upon the arrival of the officers they located both parties in room #18. After speaking to both parties it was determined that Koziara allegedly had assaulted his girlfriend and forcefully kept her at the motel against her will.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On January 3, 2010 Brattleboro Police arrested the accused for violating his court ordered relief from abuse order. An investigation that stemmed from a reported noise disturbance revealed that the accused was in violation. The accused was later released on citation and conditions. The accused will appear at the Windham County District Court to answer his charge.

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Road. Further investigation revealed Watson to be the operator of this vehicle. Watson was found to be intoxicated, and was subsequently charged with this offense. Watson was cited to appear in Windham District Court at a later date to answer to this charge.
