Fraudulent Use and Illegal Possession; Seizure

On 01/18/2020 at approximately 1830 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were informed of a male attempting to use a stolen credit card at a business on Canal Street.

​Officers found evidence that Patrick Boyer committed the crime of Fraudulent Use and Illegal Possession; Seizure when he attempted to use a credit card that was not his at the business. Boyer was arrested and will appear in Windham County Superior Court on 02/25/2020 to answer to the charges.

Dominic Graves, 28, of Whitingham, VT

On 01/24/2020 Brattleboro Police responded to a shelter on South Main Street for a verbal altercation.
 
Through investigation it was determined that Dominic J. Graves had contact with a female subject whom he was prohibited from having contact with per court ordered conditions of release. Graves was placed under arrest and was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing.
 
Graves was released on conditions of release and a citation to appear in court on Monday, January 27, 2020 at 1230pm.

Snow Removal Downtown Streets

The Town of Brattleboro would like to remind everyone that the snow emergency ban is in effect.  
 
Snow and ice will be removed from the streets in the downtown area this evening.   
Parked vehicles in the downtown district must be removed by 11:00pm or they will be towed at the owner’s expense.
 
If vehicles are going to remain in Town overnight they should park in the Brattleboro Transportation Center. If you use the Transportation Center, do not park in a Reserved Permit space without a permit. Pay and Display is in effect after 9:00 a.m.

Agency Assist, Driving Offenses and Trespassing

Jason Moul, 38, of Bellows Falls, VT

On 1/18/2020 at approximately 4 PM Brattleboro Police received information and a request for assistance from Vermont State Police regarding a vehicle theft they were investigating. Brattleboro Police located and attempted to stop the vehicle on Putney Road however the operator fled and attempted to elude them by accelerating and passing other vehicles. The vehicle was located unoccupied on Harris Avenue. Brattleboro Police then located the subject in front of a business on Putney Road and apprehended him without incident. Subsequent investigation revealed that the operator, Jason Moul (38 of Bellows Falls), had also entered a residence on Putney Road which he was not privileged to be in.

VSP took custody of Moul. Moul was held in lieu of $10,00 bail and is to appear in court on 1/21/2020 to answer to charges of Unlawful Trespass into an Occupied Dwelling, Grossly Negligent Operation, Attempting to Elude an Officer and additional charges brought forward by VSP. Multiple other agencies assisted including Chesterfield Police, Windham County Sheriff’s Office and Brattleboro Department of Public Works.

Shawn Koolick, 28, of Brattleboro, VT

​On 1/16/2019 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a crash on Elliot St in the Town of Brattleboro. Upon arrival the officers saw a vehicle stuck in a snow bank. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Shawn R. Koolick for DUI. Koolick also had an outstanding warrant. Koolick will appear in Windham County Superior Court on 1/17/2020 to answer to his warrant and on 2/4/2020 to answer to his charges from 1/16/2020.

On 1/16/2020 at approximately 8:45 PM Brattleboro Police received a call for a single vehicle crash on Cedar Street. Officers located a 2001 GMC Sonoma down an embankment. The vehicle was not occupied when it was located by officers. Roadway traffic was restricted for a short time while the vehicle was removed from the embankment.

Domestic Assault

On 1/6/20 at approximately 9:16 AM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence for a report of a physical altercation. The complainant reported he had been arguing with his girlfriend who had thrown a coffee pot at him.
 
Upon arrival Officers spoke with the two individuals involved who both claimed minor injury caused by the other. After the initial investigation it was determined Jeremiah H. Harstin was the dominant aggressor in the situation. No medical attention was required or requested for the injuries sustained to either party.
 
Harstin was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal division on 2/11/20 at 0800 hours.

Patrick Boyer, 33, of NH

On 1/12/2020 at approximately 3pm, Brattleboro Officers responded to a residence on Central St. regarding a stolen vehicle.  During their investigation, Patrick Boyer attempted to flee out a window of the residence, and resisted officer’s attempts to control him.  Boyer was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, and will appear in court on 2/25/2020 to face the charge.

John Mudge, Jr, 40, of Brattleboro, VT

On 12/21/2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Deepwood Drive for a report of a possible condition of release violation.
 
Through investigation it was determined that John D. Mudge Jr violated his court ordered conditions of release. Mudge was arrested at a later date and was released on conditions of release and a citation to appear in court on 01/16/2020 at 8am.
