Officer Washburn On January 29, 2021 at approximately 1020 Brattleboro Police Officers were dispatched to a trespassing complaint to a business on Canal St. in Brattleboro. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined Misbah Abdul-Kareem age 35 of Wilmington VT committed the offense of Unlawful Trespass. Abdul-Kareem was taken into custody and transported back to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Abdul-Kareem was fingerprinted and photographed. Abdul-Kareem was issued conditions of release and was cited to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on January 29, 2021 at 12:30pm.

Jordan LaValley, 19, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cunningham On January 27, 2021, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Marlboro Road, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of Domestic Assault. Subsequent investigation revealed that Jordan LaValley had assaulted his girlfriend causing several injuries on multiple days throughout the fall and winter of 2020 and 2021. The female did not seek treatment for her injuries. LaValley was arrested and charged with First degree aggravated domestic assault, Second degree aggravated domestic assault and Violating a Abuse Prevention Order. LaValley was held without bail and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on January 28, 2021 to answer to the charges. Justin Hale, 36, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cunningham On January 26, 2021, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Guilford Street, in the town of Brattleboro, for speeding. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Justin Hale, a 36 year old male from Brattleboro, VT. Subsequent investigation revealed Hale’s driver’s license was criminally suspended in Vermont. Hale was issued a citation for driving with a criminally suspended license, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on March 09, 2021 to answer for the charge. Christopher Baxter, 30, of Brattleboro, VT
Gregory Larose, 50, of Brattleboro, VT Officer Penniman On 1/17/21, Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on a car as it was pulling into a business on Putney Rd due to several motor vehicle violations. The operator, Christopher Baxter, a 30 year old male from Brattleboro, was placed under arrest due to being trespassed from the property on a prior date. The passenger, Gregory Larose, a 50 year old male from Brattleboro, was released from the scene. Probable cause that drugs were located within the vehicle was developed. The vehicle was seized, and a search warrant was later granted for the vehicle. In the vehicle, 133 bags of fentanyl, and 1.5 grams of crack cocaine were located. Larose was later located, and placed under arrest for the drug charges. Baxter and Larose will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 2/16/21 to answer their charges. Baxter is charged with: Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession of Cocaine, Unlawful Trespass, and Contempt of Court. Larose is charged with: Trafficking Fentanyl, and Possession of Cocaine. Officer Washburn On January 21, 2021 at approximately 12:40pm the Brattleboro Police were dispatched to a trespassing complaint at a business on Canal St. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined that Kristian DuBois age 32 of Brattleboro committed the offense of Unlawful Trespass. DuBois was cited and released and is scheduled to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on March 2, 2021 at 8:00am. Ashley Watson, 34, of Guilford, VT Officer Lockerby On 1/19/2021 at approximately 2052 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Elm Street for a report of 4 people fighting. Officers arrived on scene and eventually located all 4 subjects. It was discovered that Shawn M. Hildreth and Ashley L. Watson had entered into a residence that they were not priviledged to. Hildreth and Watson were involved in an altercation with the two victims which resulted in a disturbance in a public place. During the process of arresting Hildreth, he spit on one of the officers. Hildreth and Watson were both placed under and arrest and transported the the Brattleboro Police Department. Hildreth and Watson were both issued conditions of release and held in lieu of bail. They were both transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility. They are scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on January 20, 2021 to face the charges. If you use the Transportation Center, do not park in a Reserved Permit space without a permit. Officer Law On 1/15/2021 at approximately 0001 hours the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Carriage Hill Rd. for a report of a possible domestic assault. Upon further investigation it was found that Wilfred Belluscio had assaulted his significant other throughout the day on 1/14/2021. The victim did not seek medical attention and sustained non-life threatening injuries. While on scene with Belluscio he was causing a disturbance on Lawton Dr. Belluscio was placed under arrest for 2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and later found that he had an active set of conditions of release. Belluscio was held in lieu of bail, and is to appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 1/15/2021 to face the charge. Bernie Scarborough, 23, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Lockerby On January 13, 2021 at approximately 1648 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Road for a defective equipment violation. The operator was identified as Bernie E. Scarborough of Brattleboro, VT. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Scarborough’s driver’s license was criminally suspended and he also had two active Vermont arrest warrants. Scarborough was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted and photographed. Scarborough was issued a citation for Criminal DLS and a criminal citation for the arrest warrants, and released. Scarborough is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 1/14/2021 to face the charge for the arrest warrants. He is also scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 2/23/2021 to face the Criminal DLS charge. |
