Buck Mitchell, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On February 14, 2020 Brattleboro Police Officers were dispatched to a retail theft complaint at a local business on Putney rd. in Brattleboro. The Brattleboro Police Department were assisted by Vermont State Police who located Buck Mitchell age 28 of Brattleboro on Putney rd. Mitchell was found to have the merchandise that was stolen on his person. Mitchell was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted and photographed. Mitchell was held on lack of $200.00 bail and was transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility. Mitchell is scheduled to appear in the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on February 18, 2020 at 12:30pm.
Garth Gilbeau, 21, of Brattleboro, VT
Stephen Page, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On February 1, 2020 at approximately 1249 Brattleboro Police Officers were dispatched to an active fight in progress call on Baker St. in Brattleboro. Officers arrived on scene and after an investigation Garth Gilbeau age 21 of Brattleboro was charged with simple assault and Stephen Page age 40 of Brattleboro was charged with disorderly conduct. Both Page and Gilbeau were given citations to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on March 10, 2020 at 8:00am.

RE: DOWNTOWN DISTRICT SNOW REMOVAL
The Town of Brattleboro would like to remind everyone that the snow emergency ban is in effect.
Snow and ice will be removed from the streets in the downtown area this evening.
Parked vehicles in the downtown district must be removed by 11:00pm or they will be towed at the owner’s expense.
If vehicles are going to remain in Town overnight they should park in the Brattleboro Transportation Center. If you use the Transportation Center, do not park in a Reserved Permit space without a permit. Pay and Display is in effect after 9:00 a.m.

On 02/08/2020 at approximately 1pm, Brattleboro Officers executed a search warrant at a residence on Canal St. As a result of the search:
Curtis Henry was arrested for Possession of suspected Heroin, Possession of suspected Cocaine, Possession of suspected Fentanyl: Trafficking, Possession of Stolen Property,and Aiding in the Commission of a Felony. Henry was held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Anthony Wislon was arrested for Possession of suspected Heroin: Trafficking, Possession of suspected Cocaine, and Criminal Contempt: Four Counts. Wilson was held in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Kayla Gallant was arrested for Possession of suspected Fentanyl: Trafficking, Possession of suspected Cocaine, Hindering Arrest, and Resisting Arrest. Gallant was held in lieu of $5,000 bail.
Peter Andrew was arrested for Possession of suspected Fentanyl, Hindering Arrest, and Unlawful Mischief. Andrew was held in lieu of $200 bail.
Gina Taylor was arrested for Possession of suspected Fentanyl and Possession of suspected Heroin. Taylor was released with a citation to appear in court.
Jennifer Peduzzi was arrested for Possession of suspected Cocaine and Possession of suspected Fentanyl. Peduzzi was released with a citation to appear in court.
Debra Bemis was arrested on an active warrant. Bemis posted $200 bail and was released. All subjects will appear in court at a later date to face the charges.
Total drugs seized from the residence:
Cocaine: 40 grams
Fentanyl: 8.49 grams
Heroin: 5 grams
Kristopher Robinson, 27, of Brattleboro, VT
On 1/29/2020 at approximately 1926 hours Brattleboro Police Officers responded to a local business on Putney Rd. for a report of a male that was trespassing. It was reported that a male, later identified as Kristopher Robinson, had entered the business which he was previously trespassed from.
Upon further investigation it was found that Robinson indeed did go into the business and was previously trespassed. Robinson was issued a citation for Unlawful Trespass and is to appear at Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 3/17/2020.
Shane Young, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On February 6, 2020, at approximately 0050 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of Unlawful Trespass, at a business on Canal Street, in the Town of Brattleboro. Subsequent investigation revealed that Shane J. F. Young had trespassed on private property, violating a previous trespass warning, when he entered the store on that day. Young was cited for Unlawful Trespass and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on March 17, 2020 to answer to the charge.
Peter Solley, 71, of Brattleboro, VT
On 2/1/20 at approximately 1140 AM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Putney Rd for a report of a white van driving erratically. Brattleboro Police dispatch had received multiple complaints concerning the vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle and attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle failed to stop after the first responding officer had activated their cruiser lights and sciren directly behind the subject vehicle. The vehicle did eventually pull into a parking lot where it struck a parked vehicle. The operator, identified as Peter Solley of Brattleboro, showed signs of impairment and was screened for driving under the influence.
Based on observations of the vehicle operation, statements made by the operator and his performance during the field sobriety tests Solley was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police station where he was processed for the offense. He was later released on citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 2/25/20 at 0800 hours
John Mudge, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
During the early morning hours on 2/1/20 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle that was a BOL for a VSP case.
The operator was not the subject of the BOL, however the operator, John Mudge, a 40 year old male from Brattleboro, was found to have a criminally suspended license. Mudges license was suspended due to a DUI offense.
Mudge was issued a citation for the above offense and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 3/10/20 to answer his charge.
Anthony Smith, 56, of Saxtons River, VT
On 1/30/2020 at approximately 0951 hours Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Belmont Ave. for a report of a male that was being restrained and was out of control.
Upon arrival it was found that Anthony Smith had swore and yelled at multiple staff members. Smith also had gotten into a physical confrontation with a security officer. Neither Smith or the security officer sustained injuries.
Smith was issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 3/10/2020 to face the charge of disorderly conduct.
Debra Bemis, 46, of Brattleboro, VT
On 1/15/20 at approximately 1:30PM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a local grocery store for a report of shoplifting. The complainant, a store employee, advised they had recovered the stolen items outside of the store, but the female suspect had fled in a vehicle.
The store provided the video surveillance of the incident and the female suspect was identified as Debra M. Bemis of Brattleboro. A records check showed Bemis had been previously issued a Trespass warning for that business.
Bemis was located on 2/3/20 and issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 3/10/20 at 0800 hours.
