Christopher Baxter, 31, of Brattleboro, VT
On 2/27/21 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on I91S for an equipment violation.
The operator, Christopher Baxter, a 31 year old male from Brattleboro, was found to have an extraditable warrant out of NH stemming from a Possession of Fentanyl charge.
Baxter was taken into custody, and briefly held on bail. Baxter was then able to post bail, and was issued a citation for Fugitive from Justice.
Baxter will appear at court on 3/1/21 to answer his charge.
Hunter Davis, 19, Keene, NH
On February 17, 2021, while on patrol on Putney Road, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department observed a vehicle with three flat tires, traveling south in the north bound lane. The vehicle was observed passing other vehciles in the south bound lane and forcing the north bound traffic onto the shoulder of the road. Subsequent investigation revealed that Hunter Davis (19 of Keene) had fled from Chesterfield Police Department and cross the border of Chesterfield, New Hampshire into Brattleboro, Vermont. Davis then went off the road, crashed into road signs and flattened his tires before encountering the Brattleboro Police Department officers. Davis was later cited and charged with Negligent Operation. Davis will appear in Windham County Family Court on 03/04/2021 to answer to the charge.

Buck Mitchell, 29, Brattleboro, VT
On February 06, 2021 at approximately 0956 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were investigating a theft from a motor vehicle from a business on Putney Road. Subsequent investigation revealed Buck Mitchell violated his conditions of release by being out during his designated curfew hours.
On February 27, 2021 at approximately 0908 hours, Officer of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a welfare check on Mitchell. While responding to the welfare check, the officers were informed Mitchell may have in his possession stolen items from Chesterfield, New Hampshire. Subsequent investigation revealed Mitchell again violated his conditions of release by leaving Windham County, was in possession of stolen items, and stolen prescription medication. Mitchell was arrested and will appear in Windham County Superior Court on March 01, 2021 to answer to the charges
Misbah Abdul-Kareem, 35, of Wilmington, VT
On 2/20/21 officers from the Brattleboro Police Department located Misbah Abdul-Kareem, a 35 year old male from Wilmington, at a business on Canal St. in Brattleboro. Kareem was placed under arrest due to violating his court ordered curfew, and due to the fact that the Brattleboro Police Department had several pending charges for Kareem.

21BB01029 – Occurred 2/15/21. Violation of Conditions of Release and Unlawful Trespass.
21BB01034 – Occurred 2/15/21. Violation of Conditions of Release and Unlawful Trespass.
21BB01041 – Occurred 2/16/21. Violation of Conditions of Release and Petit Larceny.
21BB01168 – Occurred 2/20/21. Violation of Conditions of Release.
Kareem was held in lieu of bail. Kareem will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 2/22/21 to answer to the above charges, except for 21BB01041, which he will appear on 3/30/21 to answer for.
Dillon Hall, 28, of Bennington, VT
On 2/19/2021 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a suspicious report at a business on Putney Rd. Officers arrived on the scene and spoke with Dillon Hall. Subsequent investigation revealed that Hall had an active warrant for his arrest out of Bennington VT. Hall was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. During a search incident to arrest, officers found 30 bags of suspected Heroin on Hall. Hall was lodged and later transported to SSCF. Hall will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 2/22/2021 to answer to his charge.
Heather Cobb, 23, of Chesterfield, NH
On 2/19/2021 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Putney Rd. for a suspicious report. Officers arrived to find a man who appeared to have been the victim of an assault. The man had non life threatening injuries. Officers interviewed the man who was not hospitalized. The man reported that his cell phone was stolen from his coat pocket. Hours later, the officers located the suspect, who was identified as Heather M. Cobb, a 23 year old female. Cobb was arrested for Domestic Assault and Larceny from the Person. The cell phone was found on Cobb when she was searched incident to arrest. Cobb was issued a citation and condition and released. Cobb is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 2/22/21 to answer to her charges.
James Owens, 35, of Brattleboro, VT
On February 13 2021 at approximately 1750 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a business on Putney Road for a theft complaint.
Upon arrival the officers met with staff and James R. Owens. Subsequent investigation revealed that Owens had stolen items from the store before being detained by staff. Owens was issued a citation for Retail Theft, and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham County Criminal Division on March 30 to face the charge.
Laura Hatfield, 42, of Brattleboro, VT

On November 19, 2019, Brattleboro Police received a report that a prior care giver for an elderly male had embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from him over a period of 3 years. The lengthy investigation revealed that Hatfield had taken over $225,000 from the victim without his permission or for his benefit. Hatfield was issued a citation on 2/9/21 to appear in court at a later date.
Mark K. Anderson, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On February 15, 2021, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to call for a theft of a motor vehicle, in the Town of Brattleboro. Subsequent investigation revealed that Mark K. Anderson had violated his Conditions of Release when he had contact and harassed a female he had conditions for.
The investigation revealed Anderson had attempted to make contact with the female multiple times at her place of work. Anderson also followed the female and her daughter around town multiple times. Anderson contacted the female via text messages multiple times even after the female asked him to stop. Anderson would also circle the female’s residence multiple times. Anderson was arrested and charged with Aggravated Stalking, and Contempt of Court: Violation of Conditions of Release. Anderson was held on bail and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 02/16/2021 to answer to the charges.
Timothy Barbour, 57, of Brattleboro, VT
The Town of Brattleboro owns and maintains Living Memorial Park, and works through a partnership with “Living Memorial Park Snow Sports,” a non-profit organization that operates a T-bar ski lift and associated equipment at the park.
On 2/11/21 at around 8:15PM, Timothy P. Barbour approached two adult volunteers working to close the T-bar lift facility for the day. Barbour allegedly threatened them with a large metal pipe and demanded money. A physical struggle ensued, and two people were injured, including Barbour.
When police arrived Barbour was arrested. He and one of the volunteers, an adult man, were taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both subjects were released after treatment. Barbour was charged with assault and robbery and ordered held on $5000.00 bail. He will be arraigned 2/12/21 at Windham Superior Court.
No skiers were present at the time of the incident. Other facilities at the park were in use, but at this time there is no indication anyone else was involved in the incident.
