Officer Cooke On March 29, 2019 the Brattleboro Police Department received a report of a Violation of an Abuse Prevention Order. Subsequent investigation revealed that Orion Stone, 18, of Guilford, VT, had violated the order. Stone was taken into custody and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed and released on conditions and a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on April 1, 2019 at 12:30pm.

Hannah Sheppard, 22, of Spofford, NH
Officer Fletcher On 3/31/19 at approximately 5:45 AM officers responded to the area of Flat St for a report of a motor vehicle partially over the embankment of the Whetstone brook. Upon arrival an unoccupied vehicle was located teetering over the edge of the bank, lodged on a rock. The operator, later identified as Hannah Sheppard of Spofford NH, and the complainant came walking back towards the vehicle. Through the investigation officers were able to determine Sheppard had been in physical control of the vehicle. Sheppard willing admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. Sheppard was evaluated by emergency medical responders on scene for minor facial injuries. Sheppard was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police station where she was processed for DUI. Sheppard was issued conditions of release and ordered held on $500 bail. She was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court Criminal Division on 4/1/19 Colin Stockwell, 27, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Stanley On 3/28/19 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a facility on Birge Street for a report of an assault. The victim reported that Colin S Stockwell assaulted him and was attempting to start a fire inside the building. Subsequent investigation revealed that due to Stockwell’s behavior the victim attempted to call 911 but Stockwell prevented this by smashing his phone. Stockwell then attacked the victim and later attempted to start a fire inside the facility. Stockwell and the victim were later taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for non life threatening injuries. Stockwell was later transported to Southern State Correctional Facility and ordered to be held without bail pending arraignment. Stockwell will appear in Windham County Superior Court; Criminal Divison on 3/29/19 Denise Nuccio, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Keilig On March 24, 2019 at 6:39 PM Brattleboro Police responded to a report of a fight that had occurred in the Harmony Lot. Officers located the 25 year old female victim at a Canal Street business. Subsequent investigation revealed that Denise Nuccio (40 of Brattleboro) had assaulted the female. The female victim sustained non-lifethreatening injuries. Nuccio was located on Birge Street on 3/29/19 where she was placed under arrest. Nuccio was held in lieu of $2,500 bail and ordered to appear in court at 1230 PM on 3/29/19 to answer to the charge of Domestic Assault. Monica Martello, 32, of Brattleboro, VT
Jennifer Wilcox, 35, of Brattleboro, VT Officer Fletcher On 3/23/19 at approximately 7:07 AM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Dept. responded to a motel in Brattleboro for a report of trespassing. The complainant reported 2 female subjects have been evicted from the property, but are refusing to leave. Upon arrival Officers spoke with Motel staff who provided copies of the eviction paperwork. The 2 females were located within the room they had been occupying and identified as Monica Martello and Jennifer Wilcox. Both females were issued citations to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal division on 4/30/19 and removed from the property. Heidi Heger, 46, of Jamaica, VT
Officer Penniman On 3/15/19 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for a moving violation. The operator, Heidi Heger, a 46 year old female from Brattleboro, was found to be in possession of Suboxone without a prescription. Heger was issued a citation, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 5/28/19. Amidon, Tharen. 26 Year Old Male from Coventry, VT.
Metcalfe, Megan. 26 Year Old Female from Coventry, VT. Officer Penniman On 3/12/19 Brattleboro Police executed a motor vehicle stop on Pine St. It was later determined, after more information on the occupants was available, that Tharen Amidon and Megan Metcalfe, both 26 year olds from Coventry, VT, had lied to police to mask the fact that they had active warrants in VT. Amidon also had a criminally suspended license. On 3/24/19 both were arrested by Vermont State Police in the Northern part of the state. Amidon was issued a citation. Metcalfe posted bail before a citation could be issued to her. Amidon was cited to appear at Windham County Superior Court on 4/23/19 at 0800. A warrant has been submitted for Metcalfe. Garth Gilbeau, 20, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Law On 3/25/2019 at approximately 7:57 PM members of the Brattleboro Police Department, Brattleboro Fire Department and Rescue Inc responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a residence on South Main Street. Invesitgation revealed that Garth Gilbeau (20 of Brattleboro) assaulted an 18 year old female. The assaults had been occurring over a period of time. The female subject was transported by Rescue Inc to the hospital. The female had non-lifetheatening injuries. Gilbeau was arrested and held in lieu of $1,000 bail. Gilbeau is to appear at Windham Superior Court on 3/26/19 to answer to the charges of First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault and Domestic Assault. Joshua Tefft, 39, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cooke On 3/23/19 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on West River Rd. in Brattleboro for a report of an intoxicated male that threatened people with a rifle, and left the scene into the woods. Brattleboro Police responded initially, and searched the scene. Vermont State Police then arrived on scene, and assisted with a more thorough search. BPD eventually located Joshua A. Tefft, a 39 year old male from Brattleboro, in the woods on an adjacent property. Police also recovered a firearm from the scene. Tefft was taken into custody without incident. Tefft was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital due to cold weather exposure. Tefft was later transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was processed, and held on $5,000 bail for 3 counts of Aggravated Domestic Assault. Tefft will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 3/25/19 at 1230 to answer his charges. Brattleboro Police shut down Rt. 30 in the area of the incident to insure public safety. Rt. 30 was closed for approximately 1.5 hours. Williams, Patricia M. – 54 of Brattleboro, VT
SGT Eaton On February 28, 2019 Brattleboro Police were called to a business on Main Street for a trespassing complaint. Investigation revealed that Patricia M. Williams had entered the building after she was previously issued a trespass warning for that location. She was located on March 21, 2019 and issued a citation to appear in court at a later date to answer the charge of trespassing. |
