Derek Coleman, 50, of Vernon, VT
Officer Lockerby On March 24, 2021 at approximately 1419 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for a suspicious complaint. Officers located a male on scene who was identified as Derek R. Coleman. Subsequent investigation revealed that Coleman had an active extraditable arrest warrant. Coleman was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. Coleman was charged as a fugitive from justice, held on $25,000 bail, and will appear in the Windham County Criminal Court on March 25, 2021 to face the charge.

Officer Lockerby On 3/24/2021 at approximately 1419 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for a suspicious complaint. Officers located the subject and identified him as Derek R. Coleman. Further investigation revealed that Coleman was in possession of Fentanyl. Coleman was issued a criminal citation and is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 5/4/2021 to answer to the charge. Austin Wood, 18, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 3/19/21 Brattleboro Police attempted a motor vehicle stop on Western Ave. due to a vehicle operating at 65mph in a posted 30mph. The vehicle failed to stop, and due to safety concerns, Police did not pursue. Shortly afterwards the vehicle crashed, and the operator, Austin Wood, an 18 year old male from Brattleboro, was subsequently arrested for DUI. In addition to the DUI charge, Wood was issued a citation for Excessive Speed, Attempt to Elude, and Negligent Operation. Wood will appear in court on 4/27/21 to answer the charges. Buck Mitchell, 29, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Law On 2/21/21 at approximately 0119 hours the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Putney Rd. for a trespassing complaint. The complainant stated that a male destroyed property and then left the area, possibly heading South. Through further investigation it was found that the male was Buck Mitchell, and found that Mitchell had active sets of conditions of release. Mitchell had conditions not to be near the residence and also had a set of conditions with curfew. Mitchell was issued a citation and is to appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 4/13/2021 to face the charge. Steven Miller, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 3/17/21 Brattleboro Police observed a suspicious vehicle behind a business on Canal St. Upon investigating, probable cause was developed of criminal behavior, and narcotics were located after a search. Steven F. Miller, a 34 year old male from Brattleboro, was found to be in possession of a misdemeanor amount of fentanyl, along with a misdemeanor amount of crack cocaine. Miller was issued a citation for the above possession charges. Miller will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 4/27/21 to answer his charges. Jeremiah Ahearn, 25, of West Springfield, MA
Officer Cooke On March 18, 2021 at approximately 11:31 PM the Brattleboro Police Department was dispatched to a motel on Putney Rd for a report of a gun being fired in a room and a bullet had gone through a wall into an adjacent, occupied room. There were no injuries. Within minutes several officers were on scene investigating. Following an investigation probable cause was developed and Jeremiah Ahearn, 25, of W. Springfield, MA was arrested without incident. A search warrant was executed on Ahearn’s room which is where the shot had originated. As a result of the warrant officers located a firearm, a large amount of Fentanyl and a large amount of cocaine. Ahearn was charged with Reckless Endangerment, Trafficking Fentanyl, and Possession of Cocaine. Ahearn was held in lieu of $50,000 bail. Ahearn appeared at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on March 19, 2021 to answer to the charges. Tadros Hoth, 31, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cunningham On March 21, at approximately 0724 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a business on Main Street, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of trespassing. Subsequent investigation revealed that Tadros Hoth had violated a previous trespass warning, when he was found on the property that day. Hoth was cited for Unlawful Trespass and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on April 27, 2021 for the charge. Kenneth Ganem, 64,of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 3/19/21 Brattleboro Police responded to a business of Flat St. for a trespassing complaint. Upon arrival, investigation revealed that Kenneth J. Ganem, a 64 year old male residing in Brattleboro, entered a property that he had previously been trespassed from. Ganem had left the property by the time police arrived. Shortly afterwards, Police were called to a business on Walnut St. for a report that Ganem was on a property that he had been trespassed from. Upon arrival Police locted Ganem. Ganem was issued a citation for two counts of Unlawful Trespass. Ganem was later arrested on a separate incident, and ordered to appear at Windham County Superior Court on 3/22/21 to answer his new charges, along with his Trespass Charges. Lize Brault, 42, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Lockerby On March 17, 2021 at approximately 1723 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Western Avenue for suspicion of the operator having a suspended license and for a motor vehicle inspection violation. The operator was identified as Lize V. Brault of Brattleboro, VT. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Brault’s driver’s license was criminally suspended. Brault was issued a criminal citation and released. She is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 4/27/2021 to face the charge. Officer Llewelyn On 3/16/21 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were patrolling Putney Rd. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for an equipment violation. The vehicle pulled into a business on Putney Rd. The operator was identified as Jonathan Hart. The Officers noticed a large firearm in the vehicle during the traffic stop. Subsequent investigation revealed that Hart had an active warrant for his arrest, had conditions of release set by the court to not have possession of any firearms, and did not have a valid driver’s license. Hart was arrested and later released on a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 3/17/21 for his warrant and 3/30/21 for being in possession of a firearm and operating a vehicle without a license. |
