On 04/29/2020 at approximately 1:58pm Brattleboro Police, Rescue Inc. and Brattleboro Fire responded to Main Street near Brattleboro Savings and Loan for a report of a bicyclist that was struck by a motor vehicle.
Through investigation it was discovered that Alice A. Blais, 88 year old female from Claremont, NH, was travelling north on Main Street in her vehicle when a bicyclist pulled onto Main Street from Brattleboro Savings and Loan.
The bicyclist was identified as Kathleen D. Sims, 57 year old female from Brattleboro, VT. It was determined that Sims failed to yield to oncoming traffic and collided with Blais.
Sims was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Jami-Leigh M. Webber, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On 4/25/2020 at approximately 1938 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department received information about a potential intoxicated driver in the area. The vehicle arrived at the Brattleboro Police Department where officers identified the operator as Jami-Leigh M. Webber. Further investigation revealed that Webber was under the influence of alcohol. It was also discovered that Webber had been operating the vehicle with 3 juvenile passengers all of which were under the age of 10. Webber was placed under arrest, issued a citation and released. Webber was ordered to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 7/14/2020 to answer to the charges.
Kevin Hescock, 65, of Dover, VT
On April 15, 2020 at approximately 0030 hours Brattleboro Dispatch received a call about suspicious activity at a business on Marlboro Rd. Officers arrived just minutes after the initial call and located Kevin Hescock Sr., 65, of E. Dover, VT attempting to flee the area on foot after attempting to cut off and steal a catalytic converter off of a vehicle at the business. Hescock was stopped and detained through the investigation. Hescock was released on a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on July 7, 2020 at 0800 hours to answer to the charges of Unlawful Mischief and Attempted Grand Larceny. The Police Department would like to thank the caller for reporting the suspicious activity.
Kriss Balerio, 50, of Brattleboro, VT
On April 16, 2020, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Road, in the town of Brattleboro, for suspicion of operating after suspension or revocation of license. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Kriss Valerio a 50 year old male from Brattleboro, VT. Subsequent investigation revealed that Valerio’s driver’s license was suspended in Vermont.
Valerio was released on a citation for driving with a criminally suspended license, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on July 07, 2020 to answer for the charge.
Kevin Hescock, Jr. 41, of Brattleboro, VT
On 04/12/2020 Brattleboro Police responded to the area of Reynolds Drive for a report of a physical altercation in progress.
Through investigation it was determined that Kevin J. Hescock Jr had assaulted a family member. Hescock was placed under arrest and was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Rescue Inc. also responded and evaluated parties involved and no one was injured.
Hescock was released on conditions of release and a citation to appear in court tomorrow, 04/13/2020, at 1230pm.
Justin Grover, 39, of Hinsdale, NH
On March 23 2020 at approximately 0215 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department noticed suspicious activity in a vehicle parked in a parking lot on Elm Street. Subsequent investigation revealed that Justin Grover was in possession of crack cocaine. The cocaine was seized, and Grover was issued a citation and released. Grover is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court: Windham Criminal Division on May 26 2020 to face the charge.
Noah Munday, 19, of Groveland, MA
On March 5 2020 at approximately 2255 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Old Ferry Road for a citizen dispute. Subsequent investigation revealed that Noah Munday had attacked a man in the parking lot of the business. No one sought medical attention as a result of this incident. Munday was later issued a citation for Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct, and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court: Windham County Criminal Division on June 16 to face the charges.
Hunter Dwinell, 27, of Vermont
On 3/31/20 the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a Motel on Putney Rd. Brattleboro PD was in contact with Keene, NH PD who had located a male suspected of stealing a firearm in NH, and of committing a domestic related offense in Keene, NH.
Keene PD advised that Hunter Dwinell, a 27 Year Old Male from Vermont, had within the last week stolen a firearm from a residence in Keene, NH. They also advised that he had destroyed items belonging to a partner.
Brattleboro PD made contact with the male, and took him into custody. Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, Dwinell was released, and issued a citation for the offense of Fugitive from Justice. Dwinell will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 6/16/20 to answer his charge.
Christopher Pond, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
On 03/29/20 at approximately 11:14 hours, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on High St for a report of a possible overdose. Upon arrival, it was determined that an assault had taken place. Following an investigation, Christopher J. Pond, 34 of Brattleboro was issued a citation for assaulting a visitor in the home. Pond was ordered to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 06/02/20 to answer tto the charge of Simple Assault.
