Officer Penniman On 4/23/21 Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Canal St. for a report of an individual operating a motor vehicle recklessly in a parking lot. The vehicle and operator, who was identified as Jonathan Hart, a 25 year old male who resides in Brattleboro, were located at an adjacent business. Hart, who does not have a valid license and has court ordered conditions of release not to operate a motor vehicle, was issued a citation for driving without a license and contempt of court. Shortly afterwards, Police responded back to the original business, as Hart has arrived and was threatening the witness / reporting party. Hart was issued additional charges: Obstruction of Justice and Criminal Threatening. Hart will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 4/27/21 to answer his charges.

Eugina Taylor, 45, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cunningham On April 18, 2021, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Brookside Drive for a report of a motor vehicle theft. Subsequent investigation revealed Eugina Taylor had taken the vehicle and keys from the residence and drove it to a business on Canal Street. Taylor was issued a citation for Operation Without Consent of Owner, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on June 01, 2021 to answer for the charge. Miranda McLoughlin, 24, of Brattleboro, VT
Maggie Barcomb, 20, of Hinsdale, NH Det. Lynde On January 23, 2021 Brattleboro Police received a complaint of poisoning. The complainant advised she was poisoned by her fellow employees while at work. After an investigation took place police arrested Miranda McLoughlin for aggravated assault and Maggie Barcomb for Accessory before the fact. McLoughlin was ordered to appear in court on May 25, 2021 and Barcomb was ordered to appear on June 1, 2021. Christopher Baxter, 31, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 4/6/21 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for several moving violations. During the course of investigation, probable cause was developed that criminal activity in regards to drugs was transpiring within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and a misdemeanor amount of crack cocaine was located. The operator, Christopher Baxter, a 31 year old male from Brattleboro, was issued a citation for possession. Baxter will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 5/25/21 to answer his charge. Reginald Kelley, 51, of Westminster, VT
Officer Penniman On 4/15/21 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Rd. on an unregistered, uninsured vehicle. The operator, Reginald M. Kelley, a 51 year old male from Westminster, VT, was found to have an outstanding warrant in Vermont. Kelley was also found to have an extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire. Kelley was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was held on bail, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 4/15/21 for the charge of Fugitive from Justice. Margaret Barrand, 75, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Lockerby On 4/13/2021 at approximately 1542 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Canal Street for a report of a two car motor vehicle crash. Further investigation revealed that Margaret D. Barrand was operating a 2017 Honda HRV when she crashed into a parked 2001 Ford truck which was unoccupied. It was discovered that Barrand was under the influence of alcohol. Barrand was placed under arrest, issued a citation and released. Barrand was ordered to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 5/4/2021 to answer to the charge. James Douglas, 31, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Hamilton On 4/9/2021 at approximately 12:35 AM Brattleboro Police responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a Canal Street business. Subsequent investigation showed that James Douglas Jr had attempted to steal from a 25 year old male, causing a physical altercation. The male victim sustained non-lifethreatening injuries and was not transported, while Douglas was transported to the hospital for injuries they sustained. Douglas was issued a citation and conditions of release and released to the care of hospital staff. Douglas was cited to appear in Windham Superior Court on 4/12/2021 to answer to the charge of Assault and Robbery. Derek Heckett, 29, of St. Johnsbury, VT
Officer Cunningham On April 07, 2021 at approximately 1020 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Canal Street for a vehicle parked with an unconscious male inside. Subsequent investigation revealed Derek Heckett violated his conditions of release by being in the same location of a person he was not suspose to have contact with. Heckett was also wanted on five different warrants from Caledonia, Washington, and Orange Counties. Hecket was held without bail for one of the warrants and will appear in Windham County Superior Court on April 08, 2021 to answer to the charges. Daniel Reddan, 38, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman In the early morning hours of 4/4/21 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Rd. due to an equipment violation. Subsequent investigation lead police to believe that activity related to drugs was being conducted within the vehicle. A search of the vehicle and occupants revealed that Daniel Reddan, a 38 year old male from Brattleboro, was in possession of a large amount of Gabapentin; a drug available by prescription only, and a common cut agent for heroin. Reddan was issued a citation for possession. Reddan will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 5/11/21 to answer his charge. Brandon Wong, 27, of Bennington, VT
Officer Washburn On April 1, 2021 at approximately 10:41am Brattleboro Police Officers were dispatched to a theft complaint at a hotel on Canal st. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined that Brandon Wong age 27 of Bennington VT committed the offense of Petit Larceny. Wong was trespassed from the property and released on citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on May 25, 2021 at 8:00am. |
