Zachary R. Peterson, 25, of Newfane VT
On May 12 2018 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were on patrol on Putney Rd. and stopped a vehicle driving erratically. Subsequent investigation revealed that the operator, Zachary Peterson, was intoxicated. Peterson was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, and was held until deemed sober. Peterson was released with a citation, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on May 29 to face the charge.
Asia Gillard - 26 – Brattleboro
Samantha Bushey – 21 – Vernon
Tameeka Ellis – 21 - Brattleboro
On May 12, 2018 Brattleboro Police were called to Clark Street for three female who were physically fighting in the roadway. When police arrived they found Gillard, Bushey and Ellis were all involved in the fight. All three females were cited in to court on June 19, 2018 for disorderly conduct.
Katelyn A. Martinez, 26, of Springfield MA
On May 12 2018 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Canal St. near Exit 1 for a motor vehicle complaint. Subsequent investigation determined that the lone occupant of the vehicle, Katelyn Martinez, was intoxicated, and had driven the vehicle to the place where officers found it. Martinez was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, and was later released with a citation. Martinez will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on May 29 to face the charge.
Rochefort, Kenneth. A. 41 Year Old Male from Brattleboro.
Clement, Jodi. L. 52 Year Old Female from Brattleboro.
In the morning hours of 5/9/18 Brattleboro Police observed a vehicle parked beside a house in the downtown area known to Police for narcotic activity. A check of the vehicle’s registration showed that the plate did not belong to the vehicle, and that the registration was expired.
Once the vehicle began to drive away, police initiated a traffic stop. Initially all 3 occupants tried to distance themselves from the vehicle. All were detained for investigation.
Investigation revealed that the operator, Kenneth Rochefort, a 41 Year Old Male from Brattleboro, had a criminally suspended licenese. One of the passengers, Jodi Clement, a 52 Year Old Female from Brattleboro, was arrested for providing false information to police officers.
Both parties were cited and released on scene. Both will appear on 6/19/18 at the Windham County Superior Court to face their charges.
On May 9, 2018 at 1318 hours Brattleboro Police responded to the intersection of Canal St and Fairview St for a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian. Members of Brattleboro Fire and Rescue Inc. responded to the scene as well.
A 28 year old female was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The vehicle involved was a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse. The operator of the vehicle, Marissa Heath- 31 of Hinsdale NH, was issued a VCVC for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk. The investigation is still active.
Traffic was temporarily delayed on Canal St for approximately 15 minutes.
Bengtson, Joel. F. 36 Year Old Male from Brattleboro
On the evening of 5/8/18 Brattleboro Police spotted a vehicle in the down town area in areas known for high narcotic usage. The vehicle in question is known to Police to often be operated by Joel F. Bengtson, a 36 Year Old Male from Brattleboro who has a criminally suspended license.
After visually confirming that the operator was Bengtson, Police initiated a traffic stop. Bengtson was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Station where he was processed. Bengtston was released on a citation and will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 6/19/18 to answer his charge.
On May 6, 2018 at approximately 2012 hours, Brattleboro Police responded to an Inn on Putney Road in Brattleboro for a report of a male located at the bottom of the swimming pool. EMS attempted to revive the male but was unsuccessful. The decedent has been indentified as Jerome R. Reardon, 60 year old male, from Brattleboro, VT. No foul play is suspected at this time, however the investigation is ongoing.
Philip H. Patoine, Jr. Age: 31 Residence: Hinsdale, NH
On 05/03/18 at approximately 5:23pm, Brattleboro Police conducted a traffic stop on Frost Street for an equipment violation and having suspected that the operator was under suspension. It was confirmed that the operator (Philip Patoine’s) Vermont driver’s license was under criminal suspension. He was arrested, and later released with a citation ordering him to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 06/19/18.
Porter, Brandon L. 26 of Brattleboro, VT
Bryant Adam A. 25 of Springfield, VT
Brattleboro Police received several telephone calls regarding a physical fight near the intersection of Estey St. and Pleasant St. Police located the subjects involved and charged Brandon Porter and Adam Bryant with Disprderly Conduct. Porter and Bryant were released with citations to appear in District Court on 06/19/18
Johnson, G. Joshua, 34, Brattleboro
On 05/02/18 at approximately 8:30 p.m. the Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on South Main Street for a citizens dispute. Upon investigation it was determined that Joshua G. Johnson, 34, of Brattleboro was disturbing the peace during an altercation between himself and a female. Johnson was issued a citation to appear in Windham Supeior Court on 06/19/18 to face the charge.
