Richard Taylor, 40, of Bellows Falls, VT
On 03/31/20 at approximately 13:01 hours, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a motel on Putney Rd for a report of an assault. After an investigation, it was determined that Richard M Taylor, 40 of Bellows Falls assaulted a female acquaintance. Taylor was subsequently arrested and charged with First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. He was released on a citation to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 07/28/20 to answer ot this charge.
Domestic assault, Unlawful restraint, Interference with access to emergency services, sexual assault.
Craig Jacobsen, 31, of Brattleboro, VT
On 5/23/20 at approximately 2:15PM Officers of the Brattleboro Police department received a domestic assault complaint. The victim called to report her husband, Craig C.Jacobsen, had assaulted her. After assaulting his wife, Jacobsen removed all electronic devices, blocking her from calling for help and refused to allow her to leave the residence for over twenty four hours before she was able to flee as he slept. The victim was evaluated for minor injuries.
Jacobsen was located hiding in the attic of his residence. He was taken into custody and ordered held without bail until arraignment on 5/26/20.
Pablo Soto, 46, of Brattleboro, VT
On May 23, 2020 at approximately 0455 hours officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Putney Rd for a report of an assault. During the course of the investigation it was learned that Pablo Soto, 46, of Brattleboro had assaulted a family or household member and knocked her unconscious. The victim was treated for injuries at the scene and was not transported to the hospital. Soto was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. The court was contacted and Soto was ordered held on $25,000 bail and issued conditions. Soto was ordered to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on May 26, 2020 at 1230 hours.
Todd Ward, 52, of Brattleboro, VT
On May 18, 2020 , at approximately 2150 hours, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence in Morningside Commons for a reported family fight. No use of weapons or injuries were reported. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Todd A. Ward, 52 year old male from Brattleboro, for Second Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. Ward was held on bail and is to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Divion on May 19, 2020, at 1230 hours to answer to the charge.
Tyson Hazelton, 41, of Hinsdale, NH
On 5/17/20 Brattleboro Police observed a male operating a vehicle whom they knew had a suspended license.
Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop, and the operator, Tyson K. Hazelton, a 41 year old male from Hinsdale, NH, was issued a citation for Criminal DLS.
Hazelton will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 7/28/20 to answer his charge.
On May 16, 2020, at approximately 5:00pm, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department, as well as members of The Brattleboro Fire Department and Rescue Inc. responded to Motor Vehicle Crash that took place near a business on Marlboro Road in Brattleboro. Due to the severity of the crash both lanes of traffic were shut down from approximately 5:15pm until 6:20pm. The vehicles involved in the crash were a Chevy Cruze and a Honda Motorcycle. The persons involved were Timothy Gerbasi, a 52 year old male from Brattleboro, and Shelley Donald, a 47 year old female from Athol, MA. Gerbasi suffered serious, but non-life threatening, injuries and was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Hospital for treatment. Donald suffered minor injuries and was treated at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. Circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation.
Bruce LaChance, 55, of Brattleboro, VT
On 5/16/2020 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a family fight at a residence on Putney Road. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Bruce Lachance. Lachance was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. Lachance was released on conditions and will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 5/18/2020 to answer to the charge.
Cheryl Ross, 33, of Bellows Falls, VT
On May 14, 2020 at approximately 4:17 PM Brattleboro Police were on foot patrol in the downtown area. Brattleboro Police checked Arch St. where they observed a female sitting underneath the bridge.
Upon further investigation it was found that Cheryl Ross was in possession of crack cocaine. Ross was issued a citation for possession of crack cocaine. Ross is to appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division at a later date and time.
Reuben Gottlieb, 32, of Brattleboro, VT
On 05/13/20 at approximately 13:18 hours, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Tyler St for a report of a male that was present but had previously been served with a trespass after warning for this location. Upon arrival, it was determined that Reuben J. Gottlieb, 32 of Brattleboro had trespassed on the property. He was issued a citation to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Crimial Division on 07/28/20.
Justin Perdue, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On 5/11/20 a member of the Brattleboro Police Department observed Justin Perdue, a 28 year old male from Brattleboro, on a property that he had been previously trespassed from on Putney Rd.
Perdue had been trespassed from the property on 5/10/20 stemming from a aggravated disorderly conduct arrest.
Perdue was issued a citation for Unlawful Trespass, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 7/28/20 to answer his charge.
