Officer Washburn On June 28, 2020 Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispactched to a Hotel on Putney rd. for an altercation that had occurred. Officers arrived and after speaking with all parties involved it was determined that Breann Campbell age 43 of Brattleboro had created a public disturbance while using racial slurs. Campbell was arrested for Hate Motivated Disorderly Conduct. Campbell was taken into custody and was released on conditions and was cited to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on June 29, 2020 at 12:30pm.

Cheryl Tine, 62, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 6/27/20 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Brattle St. for a report of a Domestic Assault. Investigation revealed that Cheryl Tine, a 62 year old female from Brattleboro, had assaulted a family member, and put another individual in fear for their safety. Investigation also revealed that she interfered with one of the victims attempting to call 911. Tine was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There she was processed, and released on Court Ordered Conditions of Release. Tine was issued a citation for Domestic Assault, Simple Assault, and Interference with Access to Emergency Services. Tine will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 6/29/20 to answer her charges. Justin Clough, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 6/27/20 Brattleboro Police responded to the Brattleboro Retreat for a trespassing complaint. Police made contact with the subject, who was identified as Justin E. Clough, a 40 year old male from Brattleboro. Clough had been previously trespassed from the Brattleboro Retreat for planting a fake bomb on the premises. Police attempted to place Clough under arrest, who decided to run to avoid arrest. Clough disrupted the flow of traffic while running, and shouted vulgarities within earshot of those out in the public. Clough continued to physically resist officers as they attempted to place him into custody. Clough was placed into custody, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and issued court ordered conditions of release. Bail imposed, and Clough was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility. Clough will be arraigned on 6/29/20 via internet arraignment. Officer Cunningham
On Saturday, June 27th at approximately 2:45pm, Brattleboro Officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at Achille Agway on Putney Rd. The suspect claimed he had a gun and threatened to shoot the clerk at the gas pumps if he did not give him the money in the register. The clerk handed over the money and the suspect fled on foot down Wellington Rd. towards the train tracks. Brattleboro Officers, assisted by Vermont and New Hampshire State Police and Chesterfield, NH, Police, searched the area but did not locate the suspect. Images of the suspect are attached below. Officer Penniman On 6/22/20, Brattleboro Police responded to a van parked behind a hotel on Putney Road for a citizen dispute. Investigation revealed that Michelle Carrasquillo, a 37 year old female from Brattleboro, had made both physical, and electronic contact with a male that she had court ordered conditions of release not to. Carrasquillo was later located, and issued a citation for Contempt of Court. Carrasquillo will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 6/29/20 to answer her charge. Officer Lockerby On 6/26/2020 at approximately 1418 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Main Street for a report of an assault. While responding officers received a detailed description of the suspect who fled on foot. Officers met the with the male victim who stated that he was assaulted and that his glasses were broken. Evidence at the scene confirmed the victims statements. The incident occurred in a busy public place with a high volume of pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic. The victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries. Officers located the suspect nearby and identified him as Justin E. Clough. Clough was still displaying aggressive behavior in public. While investigating this incident it was discovered that Clough had recently entered a business on High Street that he was previously trespassed from. Clough was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted, photographed, temporarily lodged, issued a citation and conditions and released. He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on June 29, 2020 to face the charges. Gerald Sargent, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Hamilton On June 19 2020 at approximately 0020 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were on patrol on Putney Road and observed a vehicle operating without its lights activated. Officers stopped the vehicle, and subsequent investigation revealed that the operator, Gerald C. Sargent, had a criminally suspended license. Sargent was arrested and later released with a citation for Driving with License Suspended Criminally, and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham County Criminal Division on August 11 to face the charge. Christopher Rigali, 41, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Hamilton On June 18 2020 at approximately 2220 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for a trespassing complaint. Subsequent investigation showed that Christopher Rigali was present at the business in spite of an active No Trespass Order. Rigali was issued a citation for Unlawful Trespass and released. Rigali is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windham County Criminal Division on August 11 to face the charge. Dominic Graves, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Lockerby On June 23, 2020 at approximately 1957 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were on patrol on Putney Road when they observed two individuals that they believed to have court ordered conditions not be near each other. Subsequent investigation revealed that Dominic J. Graves violated his court ordered conditions of release in that he had contact with a female that he was not allowed to. Graves was placed under arrest and was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed, temporarily lodged, issued a citation and conditions and released. Graves was ordered to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 6/24/20 to answer to the charge. William Therieau, 31, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 6/22/20 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Maple St. for a report of a household member threatening serious violence and arson. Upon arrival, Police made contact with the residents, and spoke with them about their family member; William J. Therieau, a 31 year old male from Brattleboro. Investigation revealed that Therieau, over the past several months, had physically abused, and put in fear for their safety, his elderly family members. Therieau was taken into custody, and lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, issued conditions of release, and held on bail. Therieau will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 6/23/20 to answer his charges. |
