Officer Winkler On 7/30/18 at approximately 2220 hours, Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Elliot Street for a report of an intoxicated driver who hit a curb. After an investigation Nicholas Stone was arrested for driving under the influence and grossly negligent operation. Stone was held until sober and released on a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court Criminal Division on 8/14/18 at 0800 hours.

Officer Winkler On July 27 2018 Officers responded to South Main Street for a report of a vehicle that had been vandalized . After an investigation and speaking with the owner it was determined that multiple items had been taken from the vehicle as well as the vehicle itself being damaged. James was arrested for Grand Larceny and released on a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division at 0800 hours on 9/11/2018. Jeanes, Brashard. Officer Penniman On 8/9/18 Brattleboro Police were called to a local bank due to an individual stating that he was being forced against his will to cash a fake check. Brattleboro Police arrived on scene, and attempted to execute a motor vehicle stop on an involved vehicle, which fled the scene. Police then spoke with the victim. The victim alleged that he had been held against his will in Massachusetts, and then transported to VT, where he was forced to attempt to cash the bad check in two separate locations. The vehicle that had fled the scene was located in MA, where a brief pursuit ended in the suspect vehicle crashing, and the occupants fleeing on foot. Later a suspicious vehicle that was thought to be involved was pulled over in Guilford, where MA State Police, Leyden Police, Vermont State Police, and Brattleboro Police all arrived. Two males were located, while one male again fled the scene. It was determined that both males were involved, however one of the male’s involvement occurred only in MA. That male was eventually released. Brashad De’Anthony Termaine Jeanes, a 22 year old male from Georgia, was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There Jeanes was charged with Kidnapping, Unlawful Restraint in the 1st degree, two counts of extortion, and uttering false pretenses or tokens. Jeanes was ordered held without bail, and will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 8/10/18 to answer his charges. This incident remains under investigation, and additional arrests are likely Detective Lieutenant Jeremy Evans
On 08/04/2018 at approximately 16:46 Brattleboro Police, Brattleboro Fire, and Rescue Inc. responded to a residence on Main Street for the report of a 44 year old male that wasn’t breathing. Upon arrival it was determined that the male was deceased. Foul play is not suspected at this time and the decedent has been transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. The name is being withheld at this time pending the notification of next of kin. Birchmore, Tyler J. age 27 of Brattleboro
Officer Washburn On August 4, 2018 at approximately 2:54pm Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a domestic disturbance on Maple St. in the Town of Brattleboro. Upon investigation Tyler Birchmore age 27 of Brattleboro was taken into custody and charged with domestic assault. Birchmore was released on conditions and issued a ciatation to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on August 6, 2018 at 12:00pm. Garcia, Ralphie D. III
Officer Winkler On 8/2/18 Brattleboro Officers located a subject outside of a residence on South Main St. with an active arrest warrant. Upon taking the subject, Ralphie D. Garcia III, 22yrs old, of NY, into custody, officers discovered 3.23 grams of suspected crack cocaine in Garcia’s pocket. Garcia was held in lieu of $10,200 bail and will appear in court on 8/3/18 to face the charge Maskell, Kenneth. 40 years old. Homeless
Officer Winkler On 7/29/18 at approximately 2249 hours, Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Putney Road to follow up on an anonymous tip about a male with a warrant. Officer Kerylow On 07/28/2018 Brattleboro Police located James H. Neveu in the parking garage on Flat Street. Neveu had been previously issued a no trespass order for the location. Neveu was issued a citation to appear in court on 09/11/2018 to answer the charge. Neveu, James. H. 61 Year Old Male from Brattleboro
Officer Penniman On 7/25/18 Brattleboro Police responded to the transportation center for a trespassing complaint. Neveu was trespassed from the transportation for urinating on the property. Neveu was located on the top floor of the property, intoxicated, in an area frequented by the public. Neveu was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was released on a citation for Unlawful Trespass. Neveu will appear in court on 8/28 to answer his charge. |
