Daniel Silverman, 49, of Brattleboro, VT
On 8/13/20 Brattleboro Police received an anonymous tip in regards to possible drug activity taking place out of an apartment located on Oak St.
Police began to patrol the area, and saw Daniel Silverman, a 49 year old male from Brattleboro, act in a manner consistent with criminal activity, and get into a vehicle.
Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle due to several violations, and made contact with the operator, and the two passengers, one being Silverman.
Through the investigation probable cause was developed that Silverman was in possession of narcotics. A search of Silverman was conducted, and Silverman was found to be in possession of misdemeanor amounts of Heroin and Crack Cocaine.
Silverman was issued a citation for Possession, and released. Silverman will appear in court on 9/22/20 to answer his charges.
Buck Mitchell, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On 08/17/2020 Brattleboro Police started an investigation to assist the Chesterfield Police Department with a residential burglary that occurred in Chesterfield, NH over the weekend.
Through investigation it was discovered that multiple items were stolen from the residence in Chesterfield to include credit cards. These credit cards were used at multiple locations in New Hampshire and through video surveillance, Buck R. Mitchell is seen at these locations.
Mitchell was located at a hotel in Brattleboro and was found to be in possession of an item that was stolen from Chesterfield. A search warrant was later granted for Mitchell’s residence and further items that were stolen from Chesterfield were located.
Mitchell was placed under arrest, transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was photographed, fingerprinted and released on a citation to appear in court on 09/01/2020 to answer the charge of Possession of Stolen Property. This investigation is ongoing and if anyone has any information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Detective Kerylow at the Brattleboro Police Department.
On 8/16/2020 at approximately 11:02 PM Brattleboro Police were conducting directed patrols on Route 30 in the Town of Brattleboro. Officers stopped a juvenile male who was traveling 40 miles per hour in excess of the posted 40 mile per hour speed limit zone. The juvenile was subsequently issued a citation to appear in Windham Family Court at a later date and time to answer to the delinquent charge of Excessive Speed.
Samuel Hunt, 35, of Hinsdale, NH
On August 16, 2020 at approximately 1833 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Western Avenue for a motor vehicle violation. The operator was identified as Samuel W. Hunt of Hinsdale, NH. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Hunt’s driver’s license was criminally suspended. Hunt was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted and photographed. Hunt was issued a citation for Criminal DLS and released. Hunt is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 9/22/2020 to face the charge.
William Lipscomb, 52, of Brattleboro, VT
On 8/14/20 at approximately 1203 PM Officers of The Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence in the town of Brattleboro for a report of a physical domestic assault. The complainant called to report William Lipscomb had struck their adult son in the face.
Upon arrival Officers made contact with Lipscomb who was waiting outside his residence. After the initial investigation was completed, Lipscomb was taken into custody for domestic assault. The victim was treated on the scene by Rescue Inc for minor injury.
Lipscomb was released on conditions and a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 8/18/20 at 1230 hours.
Reuben Gottlieb, 32, of Brattleboro, VT
On August 11, 2020 at approximately 12:53pm Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to 19 Tyler ST. for a trespassing complaint. Officers arrived and determined Reuben Gottlieb age 32 of Brattleboro committed the offense of Unlawful Trespass. Gottleib was issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on September 22, 2020 at 8:00am.
Charles Vinson, 68, of Brattleboro, VT
On August 9, 2020 at approximately 8:37am the Brattleboro Polce Deparment were dispatched to a larceny complaint at 6 Reservoir Rd. in the Town of Brattleboro Officers arrived and determined Charles Vinson age 68 of Brattleboro committed the offense of Petit Larceny. Vinson was issued a citation and is scheduled to appear at the Windham County Superior Counrt Criminal Division on September 15, 2020 at 8:00am.

On June 27, 2020 Brattleboro Police responded to 1277 Putney Road, the Agway gas station for an armed robbery that took place. The suspect told the gas station attendant he had a gun and demanded the money from the cash register. When the suspect received the money he fled on foot. The gas station attendant was unharmed in this incident.
Through investigation police arrested Justin Perdue on July 9, 2020 for the robbery. Perdue was charged with Assault and Robbery with a Deadly Weapon. Perdue was held on $5000 bail and appeared in court the following day.
On July 23, 2020 Buck Mitchell was located by police and arrested for his connection to the robbery. Mitchell was released on a citation to appear in court on September 1, 2020 for the charge of Accessory After the Fact and Dispensing a Regulated Drug.
On July 25, 2020 Daniel Reddan was located by police and also arrested for his connection with the robbery. Reddan was released on a citation to appear in court on September 1, 2020 for the charge of Accessory After the Fact.
Alexander Williams, 31, of Madison, CT
On August 8, 2020 at approximately 2214 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 91 for a motor vehicle violation. The operator was identified as Alexander J. Williams of Madison, CT. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Williams’s driver’s license was criminally suspended and he also had an active Vermont arrest warrant. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted and photographed. Williams was temporaly lodged in lieu of bail for the arrest warrant. Williams eventually made bail and was issued a citation for Criminal DLS and a criminal citation for the arrest warrant, and released. Williams is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 8/10/2020 to face the charge for the arrest warrant. He is also scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 9/15/2020 to face the Criminal DLS charge.
Ralph Reed, 56, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/29/20 at approximately 1030 PM the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the area of Fairground Road and Canal Street for a report of a citizen dispute. Subsequent investigation revealed that Ralph W Reed, a 56 year old male of Brattleboro acted in a disorderly manner in a public space and caused damage to the victims vehicle whom he did not know. Reed was subsequently cited and released from the scene and is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 9/8/2020 at 8am to answer to the offenses of Aggravated Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Mischief.
