Sgt. Cable On 9/30/2020 at approximately 12:27 AM Brattleboro Police received a report of a dispute at a Canal Street Business. Investigation revealed that Melvin Harris had assaulted a male and female victim who received non-lifethreatening injuries. Harris was also captured on surveillance damaging property during the disturbance. Harris was arrested and later released on conditions of release to appear at court on 9/30/2020 to answer to the charges of Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Mischief

Thomas Sorensen, 51, of Brattleboro, VT
Lt. Warner On 09/29/20 at approximately 2am, Brattleboro Officers met with a subject who claimed he’d been assaulted at his residence on Canal St. Subsequent investigation revealed Thomas L. Sorensen had confronted the man and a physical fight had ensued. Sorensen was issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court on 11/10/2020 to face the charge of Disorderly Conduct. Elise Nuccio, 26, of Brattleboro, VT Lt. Warner On 09/28/2020 at approximately 11:15pm, Brattleboro Officers responded to a hotel on Canal St. regarding three women arguing. Subsequent investigation led to Betty Bashaw being issued a citation for Unlawful Trespass, and Elise Nuccio being issued a citation for Unlawful Trespass and Criminal Contempt: Violation of Conditions of Release. Both women will appear in Windham Superior Court on 11/03/20 to face the charges. Alexander Klein, 28, of Portland, ME
Officer Flecther On 9/28/20 at approximately 11:03 AM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a local business for a report of a disorderly male subject. Upon arrival Officers were advised the male subject had left the business in an unknown direction. Staff reported the male had been disorderly and rude, he had previously been asked to leave. He had left and returned to the business several times. The store did provided an image of the subject from their security footage. While searching the surrounding area around the store he was witnessed returning. He was located at a counter amongst several other customers and officers asked him several times to step aside so they could talk. The male, later identified as Alexander J. Klein, refused to step away from the counter. After attempting to escourt Klein away from the counter he became combative, actively attempting to free himself from the officer’s grasp. He was notified on more than one occasion that he was under arrest. Eventually Klein was subdued and taken into custody for trespassing, Disorderly conduct and Resisting arrest. He was transported to the Brattleboro Police station where he was later released on conditions and a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 9/28/2020 at 12:30 PM. Officer Cunningham On September 25, 2020, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canal Street, in the town of Brattleboro, for operating on a civilly suspended driver’s license. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Mark Zostant, a 51 year old male from Brattleboro, VT. Subsequent investigation revealed Zostant’s driver’s license was criminally suspended in Vermont. Zostant was issued a citation for driving with a criminally suspended license, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on November 03, 2020 to answer for the charge. Donald Brown, 26, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Cable On 9/24/2020 at approximately 7:30 PM Brattleboro Police responded to an Elliot Street residence for a report of a threatening complaint. Investigation revealed that Donald S Brown had violated his court ordered conditions of release by having contact and harassing a female victim of a domestic assault. Brown was issued a citation, conditions of release and ordered to appear in court on 9/25/2020 to answer to the charge of Criminal Contempt. Nicholas MacAllister, 39, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Stanley On 9/24/20 the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a parking lot off Canal Street for a report of two people arguing. Both parties were located in the area and subsequent investigation revealed that Nicholas Macallister, 39 year old male of Brattleboro, was in violation of an active Relief From Abuse Order. Macallister was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was temporarily lodged. Macallister was later processed and issued conditions of release and a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court; Criminal Division on 9/25/20 to answer to the offense. Officer Fletcher On 9/19/20 at approximately 10:57 hours Brattleboro Police Dispatch received a theft from a motor vehicle complaint. The complainant reported her vehicle had been gone through overnight. Officers spoke with the victim who reported the suspect was clearly visible on her home security system. The complainant provided the security video and a list of the items that were taken from her car. The value of the items exceeded $3000. The suspect in the security video was identified as Buck Mitchell of Brattleboro. Mitchell has current conditions of release. One of his conditions is a curfew from 7 PM until 5 AM. The video shows the time of the theft to be almost 1 AM. Mitchell was later located and issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 11/3/2020. Officer Penniman On 9/23/20 Brattleboro Police executed a narcotics based search warrant on a residence located on South Main St. Arrested was Meagan Morse, a 34 year old female from Brattleboro, for felony possession of cocaine. Morse was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There she was processed, and released on a citation. Morse will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 11/3/20 to answer her charge. Amber Harmon, 38, Of NH
Officer Penniman On 9/24/20 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle due to equipment violations. During the stop, probable cause was developed that certain drug laws were currently being violated. The passenger, Amber J. Harmon, a 38 year old female from NH, was found to be in possession of misdemeanor amounts of fentanyl and crack cocaine. During the interaction, Harmon lied about her identity. Harmon was taken into custody, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There she was lodged, and held on $200 bail. Harmon will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 9/25/20 to answer her charge. |
