On 10/28/2020 at approximately 1151 hours the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a 2 car motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Bullock St. and Green St. The Brattleboro Police Department had Green St. shut down for approximately 1 hour. One of the parties involved was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

Denise Martell, 54, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 10/24/20 at approximately 1850 hrs Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a 2 car motor vehicle crash on Western Ave and the intersection of the I91N on ramp. Investigation revealed that Denise Martelle, a 54 year old female from Brattleboro operating Nissan Maxima, rear ended a Subaru CrossTrek, which was operated by Amy Newton, a 43 year old female from Putney, VT. Investigation also revealed that the crash was caused due to Martelle operating at a speed in excess of the speed limit, and operating her vehicle in a negligent manner. Martelle also attempted to leave the scene prior to police arriving. Newton was treated by EMS on scene. Martelle was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department to assess her injuries. Martelle was issued several VCVCs, along with a citation for Leaving the Scene of the Crash and Negligent Operation. Martelle will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 12/1/20 to answer her charges. Deborah McAllister, 51, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Washburn On October 17, 2020 Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a Hotel on Putney rd. for a theft of a motor vehicle complaint. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined that Deborah McAllister age 51 of Brattleboro had committed the offense of Operating without Owners Consent. McAllister and the vehicle were later located. McAllister was released on a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on November 24, 2020 at 8:00am. Officer Washburn On October 16, 2020 Officers were dispatched to a residence on Fariground rd. for a theft complaint. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined that Kristian DuBois age 31 of Brattleboro had committed the offense of Petit Larceny. DuBois was later located and released on a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on November 24, 2020 at 8:00am. Billie Joe Hudgins, 42, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Washburn On October 27, 2020 at 8:00am Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canal St. During the motor vehicle stop a passenger in the vehicle, Billie Joe Hudgins age 42 of Brattleboro, was found to be in violation of her Court ordered conditions of Release. Hudgins was arrested and transported back to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Hudgins was fingerprinted, photographed, and issued a citation. Hudgins was released on conditions of release and is scheduled to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal on October 28, 2020 at 12:30pm. Omi Perez, 36, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Fletcher On 10/27/2020 at approximately 6:00 AM, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence for a report of a disorderly male subject. The complainant reported the male, later identified as Omi Perez, kicked in the back door and was currently outside screaming. Upon arrival officers spoke with several witnesses, some of whom had been woken up by the commotion. Perez was no longer in the area. The rear door of the apartment was found to have sustained minor damage but was still secure. Perez had not gained entry into the residence or harmed any of the occupants Perez was later located and taken into custody. He was processed for the offenses and released on conditions and a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 10/28/2020 at 8:00 AM. Sgt. Cable On 10/25/2020 Brattleboro Police were conducting traffic enforcement on Cedar Street when they stopped Thomas J Houle Jr for a traffic violation. Investigation revealed Houle was operating the vehicle while his license was under criminal suspension in the State of Vermont for refusing to provide a breath sample during a DUI investigation. Houle was arrested and later released on a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court on 12/1/2020 at 0800 hours to answer to the charge. Heather Parker, 24, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Stanley On 10/22/20 the Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Western Ave for a report of a dispute. During the investigation it was determined that Heather L Parker was in contact with a subject in violation of her court ordered conditions of release. Parker was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where she was processed and lodged. Parker was then provided new conditions of release and released on citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 10/23/20 at 1230pm to answer to the offense. Officer Penniman On 10/21/20 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop due to several violations. Officers had previously observed this vehicle and their occupants acting suspiciously in a high drug area in town near Exit 1. During the stop, probable cause was developed that narcotics were located within the vehicle. A search was conducted, and ultimately Jesse Johnson, a 41 year old male from Brattleboro, was arrested for possession of heroin (7 bags). Johnson was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation. Johnson will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 12/29/20 to answer his charge. Daniel Stromberg, 24, of Putney, VT
Officer Penniman On 10/5/20 Brattleboro Police responded to a Motel on Putney Rd. for a report of a fight. Investigation revealed that Daniel Stromberg, a 24 year old male from VT and an unidentified male; “Jay” had a mutual fight in the parking lot. Stromberg was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 11/10/20 to answer his charge. This is an ongoing investigation, and anyone with information on the identity of “Jay” is asked to call the Brattleboro Police Department. |
