Officer Washburn On October 12, 2021 at approximately 1:24pm the Brattleboro Police responded to the area of Western Ave and Guilford St. for a citizens assist. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined Spencer Matthews age 24 of Brattleboro committed the offense of False Alarms. Matthews was taken into custody and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Matthews was ordered held on $200.00 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on October 13, 2021 at 12:30pm.

Marriah Boyce, 22, of Guilford, VT
Sgt. Cable On 10/11/2021 at approximately 12:06 PM Brattleboro Police responded to a report of an assault that occurred at a Putney Road business. Investigation revealed that Marriah Boyce had engaged in a physical altercation with a female victim who sustained non-life threatening injuries. When attempting to interview a witness, Boyce attempted to leave the scene in her vehicle, and engaged in an altercation with Police. Boyce was ultimately arrested and later released on conditions to appear in Windham Superior Court at a later date and time to answer to the charges. Det. Sgt. Eaton
On October 4, 2021 at approximately 4:07pm, Brattleboro Police responded to a hold up alarm from People’s United Bank, located at 479 Canal Street in Brattleboro. On arrival, police learned that the suspect had already fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were displayed. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5'5" wearing a black hood and a ball cap w/light blue face mask. He fled the scene headed southbound on Route 5 in a silver Nissan sedan with tinted windows. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Greg Eaton. Sgt. Cable On 9/13/2021 at approximately 8:34 AM Brattleboro Police responded to a call for a theft from a Canal Street Business. Investigation showed that Joseph Pasquino had taken several pieces of merchandise from the store without paying from them. Pasquino was later located and issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court to answer to the charge. Alan Stay, 33, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Cable On 9/30/2021 at approximately 11:54 AM Brattleboro Police responded to a report of a fight in progress behind a Canal Street business. Responding officers contacted witnesses, but the involved parties had left. Investigation led to the arrest of Alan Stay who struck a male victim in the head with an object. The victim sustained injuries to his head and face. Stay was held in lieu of $500 bail and was ordered into Windham Superior Court on 10/1/2021 to answer to the charge of aggravated assault. On 09/29/21 at 1245 hours, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the area of Putney Road and Spring Tree Road for a crash injury report. It was determined that a 35 year old male out of Brattleboro, VT was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the street. The male was later transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was ticketed on multiple violations to include no insurance and registration. There is an on going investigation pending to determine the circumstances of the accident. |
