Justin Clough, 40, of Brattleboro, VT

On 11/25/2019 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a medical building on Belmont Ave. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Justin E. Clough for Attempted Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault. Clough was transported to Southern State Correction Facility where he was held without bail. Clough will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 11/26/2019 to answer to his charges.

Terry Lambert, 23, of Westminster, VT

On 11/23/2019 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a citizen’s dispute at a business on Putney Road. Upon arrival the officers were able to identify Terry D. Lambert as being involved in the dispute. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Lambert. A female was also identified as being involved in the dispute. Lambert had conditions to not have contact with the female. Lambert will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 11/25/2019 to answer to his charge.

Frederick Habich, 52, of Guilford, VT

​On 11/23/2019 at approximately 4:20 PM officers of the Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the parking lot of a Canal Street business. The operator of the motor vehicle was identified as Fredrick Habich. Habich was in possession of what the officer suspected to be cocaine which Habich then attempted to destroy before being removed from the vehicle. Habich subsequently resisted officers’ attempts to control him. Habich was arrested and held in lieu of $200 bail. Habich was ordered to appear in Windham Superior Court on 11/25/2019 to answer to the above charges.

Retail Theft

Corey Whidden, 29, of Brattleboro, VT

On 11/19/2019  Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Putney Road for a shoplifting complaint.
 
Through investigation it was determined that Corey A. Whidden concealed an item inside the business and left without paying.
 
Whidden was issued a citation to appear in court on 12/31/2019 at 8am.

Reuben Gottlieb, 31, of Brattleboro, VT

​On 11/19/2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Tyler Street for a trespassing complaint.
 
When police arrived they located Reuben J. Gottlieb on the property. It was discovered that Gottlieb had been previously trespassed from the property. Gottlieb was placed under arrest and was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Gottlieb was released on a citation to appear in court on 12/31/2019 at 8am.

Bobby Smith, 49, of Brattleboro, VT

On 11/17/2019 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a vandalism complaint on Canal St. Upon arrival officers notice a smoking chimney was broken and cigarette butts were littered on the ground. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Bobby Ray Smith. Smith was arrest for Unlawful Mischief and also given a littering ticket. Smith will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 12/24/2019 to answer to his charge.

Justin Clough, 40, of Brattleboro, VT

On 11/15/2019 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a disorderly complaint at a business on Putney Road in Brattleboro. Upon arrival a worker of the business told the officers that they wanted Justin Clough removed from the property because he was being disorderly.
 
The officers directed Clough to exit the property and Clough still refused. Clough was then arrested for Unlawful Trespass and transported to the BPD. Clough was released on conditions and will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 11/18/2019 to answer to the charge.

Retail Theft

On 11/14/2019 at approximately 1436 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a report of a Retail Theft on Main St. Officer searched Main St. and surrounding streets but could not locate anyone matching the description of the people in the report.
 
On 11/17/2019 Jodi Merchant was cited for the Retail Theft that occurred on 11/14/2019. Merchant will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Divison on 12/24/2019 to answer to the charge.

On 11/13/2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Chestnut Street for a citizen dispute.
 
Through investigation it was determined that Kayla A. Boyd had threatened her roommate and caused annoyance in a public place by using obscenities.
 
Boyd was issued a citation to appear in court on 12/24/2019 at 8am.

Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Narcotics

Brandon Lee, 34, of Brattleboro, VT

On 11/8/19 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on I91N. During this stop, the passenger in the vehicle, Brandon Lee, a 34 year old male from Brattleboro, VT, was arrested due to an active VT arrest warrant.
Investigation led to officers developing probable cause that drugs were in the vehicle. The vehicle was seized, and a search warrant for the vehicle was applied for.
The warrant was approved, and once executed, officers located crack cocaine and controlled narcotics.
Snyder was later issued a citation for possession of crack cocaine (felonious amount), and possession of a controlled narcotic. Snyder will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 12/24/19 to answer his charges.
An arrest warrant for Lee for the same charges has been requested.
Brattleboro Police would like to thank the Bellows Falls Police Department for their assistance with this matter.
