Officer Law On 12/17/18 at approximately 0752 hours Brattleboro Police responded to a local business on Putney Rd. for a suspicious complaint. Upon arrival it was determined that Denny Bills had caused damage on the property. Bills had knocked over a light post. Bills was later issued a citation to appear in court on 01/22/19 to answer the charge of Unlawful Mischief.

Terounzo, Eric. M. 24 Year Old Male from Warwich, MA
Officer Penniman On 12/30/18 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop due to equipment violations. Investigation revealed that the operator, Eric M. Terounzo, a 24 year old male from Warwick, MA, was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Terounzo was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and issued a citation. Officer Penniman On 12/18/18 Brattleboro Police responded to an establishment on Putney Rd for a disturbance. Upon arrival, it was determined that Denny Bills, a 55 year old male from Brattleboro, had destroyed property belonging to the establishment. Bills was issued a citation for unlawful mischief, and will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 1/22/19. Hurlbert, Eric. B. 26 Year Old Male from Brattleboro
Officer Penniman On 12/17/18 Brattleboro Police observed a vehicle leaving an area known for narcotic sales. Police observed the vehicle commit several motor vehicle violations, and initiated a stop on the vehicle. The passenger, Eric Hurlbert, a 26 year old male from Brattleboro, was found to have an active arrest warrant, and was placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle yielded heroin that was in Hurlbert’s possession. Hurlbert was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was lodged in lieu of bail. Hurlbert was issued a citation for possession of heroin, and will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 1/22/19 to answer his charge. Santucci, Kimberly, A. 38 Year Old Female from Townshend, VT.
Officer Penniman On 12/16/18 Brattleboro Police responded to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for a report of a disorderly patient. Investigation revealed that Kimberly Santucci, a 38 year old female from Townshend, VT was acting aggressively and causing a disturbance. Santucci was issued a citation for 1/22/19 for disorderly conduct, and released from the scene. Elizabeth MacFarland, 38, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Hamilton On December 21 2018 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Elliot St. for a report of an out of control customer. Upon arrival officers met Elizabeth MacFarland, the customer in question. MacFarland refused to leave when instructed, and was physically resistant with officers when placed under arrest. MacFarland was transported to the department where she was lodged until sober, and then released with a citation. MacFarland will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on December 24 to face the charges. Lacey Chandler, 22, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 12/19/18 Brattleboro Police responded to a single car motor vehicle crash on Sunset Lake Rd. Upon arrival Police observed the Toyota Pickup Truck bearing VT REG: QUERCES to be flipped on the hood, off of the road. Two out of three passengers were transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for serious, yet not life threatening injuries. Investigation revealed that the operator, Lacey Chandler, a 22 year old female from Brattleboro, was intoxicated. Chandler was processed, and issued a citation for DUI. Chandler will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/8//19 to answer her charge. Sunset Lake Road was closed for approximately 1 hr. Peggy Strobeck, 33, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Kerylow On 12/19/2018 Brattleboro Police along with Brattleboro Fire and Rescue Inc. responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Western Avenue and Bonnyvale Road. It was reported that one of the vehicles involved fled the scene. Upon arrival, police and EMS personnel located a red 2018 Toyota Rav 4 on the south shoulder of the east bound lane. The vehicle was operated by a 75 year old female from Brattleboro. The female was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The other vehicle was a silver 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe operated by Peggy M. Strobeck. Strobeck was travelling west on Western Ave and struck the red Toyota Rav 4 as it crossed Western Ave from Glen Street. Strobeck fled the scene and later returned. Strobeck did not complain of any injuries. The east bound lane of Western Avenue in the area of Bonnyvale Road was shut down to one lane alternating traffic for approximately 45 minutes until the investigation was complete. Strobeck was issued a citation to appear in court on 01/29/2019 to answer the charge of Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Denny Bills, 55, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Fletcher On 12/19/18, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a restaurant on Putney Rd, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of a male that was attempting to enter an occupied tractor trailer then stood in front of the truck. Upon arrival, it was discovered that Denny R. Bills, 55, of Brattleboro had intentially hit the side of the tractor trailer and then stood in front of it not allowing it to leave the parking lot. Bills had previously been served with a trespass after warning for this location. Bills was arrested for Unlawful Trespass and Disorderly Conduct. He was held in lieu of $200.00 bail. Bills will answer to these charges at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 12/19/18. Denny Bills, 55, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 12/17/18 Brattleboro Police responded to a establishment on Putney Rd for a trespassing complaint. Management stated that Denny Bills, a 55 year old male from Brattleboro was violating policy, as well as being verbally aggressive towards other patrons. Brattleboro Police arrived, and issued Bills a No Trespass Order. Bills refused to leave the property, even after multiple attempts by officers to have Bills leave on his own accord. Bills was eventually placed under arrest for Unlawful Trespass. Bills was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was issued a citation for unlawful trespass, and released. Bills will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/22/18 to answer his charge. |
