Officer Fletcher On 12/23/20 at approximately 12:45 PM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence for a report of a male subject threatening individuals with a knife. Upon arrival officers made contact with the subject, Shaquran A. Holcomb of Brattleboro. Brattleboro Police dispatch advised Holcomb had an active warrant for his arrest. After multiple witnesses and victims were interviewed it was determined Holcomb had threatened bodily harm while brandishing a switchblade knife. There were no reported injuries. Holcomb was taken into custody and processed for the warrant and new offenses. Holcomb was held on $5,000 bail. He was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 12/24/2020 at 1230 hours.

Christopher Timmons, 25, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Llewelyn On 12/19/2020 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department and Vermont State Police responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Upper Forest St. Upon arrival Officers saw many neighbors in the street and a victim needed help at a nearby home. The victim said Christopher Timmons was inside the home, is high on drugs, and is bleeding from an injury that was self-inflicted. Officers located Timmons in the residence and needed to use force to get him to become compliant. Timmons was taken to BMH where he was treated for non-life-threatening wounds. The victim in the case did not require medical attention. Timmons was later issued a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 1/26/2021 to answer to the charges of DC, Resisting arrest, Simple Assault and Possession of LSD. Timmons was then released. Mary Garfield, 33, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 12/14/20 Brattleboro Police were made aware of an embezzlement incident that occurred at a business on Canal St. Investigation into this matter revealed that an employee, Mary A. Garfield, a 33 year old female from Brattleboro, was entrusted with the task of transferring the funds that the business generated to the bank. Garfield, after taking the money from the business, stole a portion of the funds prior to depositing the money at the bank. Garfield was issued a citation for Embezzelment, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/26/21 to answer her charge. Calijah Lindvall, 21, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Fletcher On 12/19/20 at approximately 2 PM officers of the Brattleboro Police department responded to Main St for report of a theft. The complainant reported Calijah B. Lindvall had just stolen approximately $40 from her. The complainant reported Lindvall had left on foot. Officers made contact with the complainant who provided a statement in regards to this incident. Lindvall was located a short time later and taken into custody. Lindvall was processed for the offense and released on conditions and a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 12/21/2020 at 1230 hours. Officer Washburn On December 16, 2020 at approximately 8:44am. Brattleboro Police Officers were dispatched to a Hotel on Putney Rd. for an active Domestic Assault. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined that Homer Parker Jr. age 52 of Brattleboro had committed the offense of Domestic Assault. Parker was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Parker was held on lack of $2,500.00 and is set to appear at the Windham County Superior Court on December 17, 2020 at 12:30pm. Rudy Martinez, 30, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 12/12/20 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on a Be On The Lookout vehicle. Both Brattleboro Police and Vermont State Police had received complaints that the operator, Rudy L. Martinez, a 30 year old male from Brattleboro, was impaired by drugs and was operating the vehicle. The stop was conducted on Putney Rd. at the intersection of Black Mountain Rd. After investigation, Martinez was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI-Drugs. Martinez was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation. Martinez will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/12/21 to answer his charge. Kevin Oneil, 49 of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman The Brattleboro Police quarterly check on those who are residents of Brattleboro and are on the Sex Offender Registry. During such a visit on 12/13/20, Brattleboro Police learned that Kevin S. Oneil, a 49 year old male from Brattleboro, was not in compliance. Oneil was issued a citation for the violation, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/19/21 to answer his charge. To: AREA NEWS MEDIA

Parked vehicles in the downtown district must be removed by 11:00pm or they will be towed at the owner’s expense. Parked vehicles in the downtown parking lots must be removed by 1:00am or they will be towed at the owner’s expense. If vehicles are going to remain in Town overnight they should park in the Brattleboro Transportation Center. If you use the Transportation Center, do not park in a Reserved Permit space without a permit. Officer Llewelyn On 12/14/2020 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were on patrol on Marlboro Ave. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for a moving violation on Marlboro Rd. Officers identified the operator of the vehicle to be Brian Short a 50 year old male. Subsequent investigation showed Short was operating on a criminally suspended license. During a search of the vehicle Officers located Heroin, Crack Cocaine, and prescription pills. Short was arrested and the drugs were seized. Short was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was lodged and later released on conditions and a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to his charges. |
