Officer Penniman On 12/27/21 the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal St. for an assault that had occurred. I nvestigation led to the arrest of Silas Clark for Aggravated assault. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious, non life threatening injuries. Clark was ordered held on bail, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 12/28/21 to answer his charge. Dianne Horn, 50, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Fletcher On 12/26/21 at approximately 0545 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Dept responded to a local residence for a report of a subject violating their conditions of release. The complainant reported Dianne Horn was outside his residence attempting to gain access. Horn was previously issued conditions of release to have no contact with the complainant or be within 300 feet of his person, residence, place of employment or vehicle. Horn was located seated in a chair on the back side, exterior of the residence. She was taken into custody without further incident. Horn was ordered held on $200 bail, to be seen at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 12/27/21. Officer Abualjadail On 12/25/21, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence off of Meadowbrook Road for a report of a woman attempting to use a knife to harm her long term partner. Investigation revealed that Dianne Horn had repeatedly attacked the person throughout the night and at one point had retrieved a knife in an effort to stab them. The victim sustained minor injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Horn was arrested, transported back to the Brattleboro Police Department, and released on conditions. Horn was ordered to appear before the Windham County Superior Court at 12:30 p.m. on 12/27/2021 to answer to the charge of First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. Officer Penniman On 12/22/21 Brattleboro Police encountered Sonam Thurtop in a vehicle on Putney Rd. Investigation revealed that Thurtop was impaired by alcohol. Thurtop was placed under arrest, transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, and released on a citation. Thurtop will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/25/22 to answer his charge. Officer Penniman On 12/22/21 the Brattleboro Police Department had contact with Kayla Gallant. Gallant was found to have an active VT warrant. Gallant was also found to be in violation of Court Ordered Conditions of Release. Gallant was taken into custody on the warrant, and issued a citation for Contempt of Court. Gallant will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/4/22 to face her Contempt of Court charge. Officer Abualjadail On 12/20/21 Brattleboro Officers responded to a residence on Fairground Rd. for a report of a disorderly male at the door. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of David Guadalupe for Stalking, Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Trespass. Guadalupe was arrested and held on bail. Matthew Carr, 30, of Londonderry, VT Officer Abualjadail On 12/05/21, the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop at a business on Canal St. Investigation revealed that Felicia Woodruff was operating a vehicle with a criminally suspended license. Police discoverd 1.61 g of suspected crack-cocaine and 0.406 g of suspected fentanyl inside the vehicle. Woodruff was charged with possession, driving with a suspended license, and a violation of conditions. Her passenger, Matthew Carr, was charged with possession. Both subjects were cited and ordered to appear before the Windham County Superior Court on 1/4/21 to answer for their charges. Officer Cooke On 12/14/21 at approximately 1552 hours Officer’s from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a bank on Canal St for a report of a subject trespassing. During the investigation it was learned that Misbah Abdul-Kareem, 36, of Wilmington, had entered the bank after having been served a trespass after warning. It was further found that Abdul-Kareem had active conditions of release that he was in violation of. Abdul-Kareem was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed. The court ordered that Abdul-Kareem be released on conditions and a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on 12/15/21 at 1230 hours. Officer Abualjadail On 12/11/2021, the Brattleboro Police Department were alerted to a possible Violation of an Abuse Prevention Order. Investigation revealed that Norman Hardy had sent several text messages and attempted to call someone he had an order not to contact. Hardy was arrested and released on a citation. Hardy was ordered to appear at Windham County Superior Court on 12/13/2021 at 12:30 p.m. to answer to his charge. Anyone arrested or cited by the Brattleboro police department is presumed innocent until convicted of a crime in court. Cher Lacount, 41, of Keene, NH
Officer Abualjadail On 11/29/21, the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop when one of the vehicle’s passengers, Cherie Lacount, provided officers with a false name to try and hide an active arrest warrant. Investigation revealed her true identity. Lacount was arrested on the warrant and issued a new charge of providing false information to law enforcement. She was cited to appear on 12/28/21 at the Windham County Superior Court to answer to her charge.
