First Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, Interference with access to emergency services and Criminal Contempt
Ewens, Gary, G. 63 year old male from Brattleboro
On 05/15/2019 at approximately 4:30 AM Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Canal Street for a report of an active domestic assault. While officers were responding it was reported that a 55 year old female sustained a laceration to her head.
Through investigation it was found that Gary G. Ewens had assaulted his girlfriend, prevented her from calling the police and it was discovered that Ewens was in violation of active Conditions of Release.
Ewens was placed under arrest and was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was issued Conditions of Release and was held without bail. Ewens is scheduled to appear in court tomorrow, 05/16/2019, at 1230 PM.
The female was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Winkey, Lequan, A. – 25 – Brattleboro, VT
On 5/9/2019 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department met with a female subject who wanted to report an assault. Officers met the with the female victim who stated that she was assaulted back in late February. Officers obtained evidence and statements about the assault.
Officers located the suspect identified as Lequan A. Winkey and placed him under arrest. Winkey was then transported back to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was cited and released. Winkey was issued conditions of release and issued a flash citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 5/10/19 at 1230 hours.
Faith Thomas, 39, of Brattleboro, VT
On April 17, 2019 the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a reported domestic situation at a local Motel on Putney Rd. Following an investigation, Officer’s arrested Faith Thomas, 39, of Brattleboro. Thomas was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where she was processed. Thomas was ordered held without bail by the court and ordered to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on April 18, 2019 at 1230 hours.
Caslin, Mark, J. – 30 – Brattleboro, VT
On 2/11/2019 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Central Street for the report of a domestic assault. Officers met the with the female victim who stated that she was assaulted. She was then transported to receive medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers located the suspect identified as Mark J. Caslin and placed him under arrest. Caslin was then transported back to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was lodged. Caslin was held on bail and issued a flash citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 2/12/19 at 1230 hours.
Harrison Rouleau, 21, of Bellows Falls, VT
On 9/23/18 a female reported to the Brattleboro Police Department that she had just been assaulted by her boyfriend, who was later identified as Harrison E. Rouleau, a 21 year old male from Bellows Falls, VT.
Investigation revealed that Rouleau had harmed the female, and attempted to cause serious bodily injury. The victim was treated at the hospital for non life threatening injuries.
Rouleau was located, and placed under arrest for 1st degree aggravated domestic assault, and for an active warrant.
Rouleau was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was issued a citation and held in lieu of bail. Rouleau will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 9/24/18 to answer his charges.
McGirr, Kevin. W. 36 Year Old Male from Brattleboro
On the evening of 4/25/18 the Brattleboro Police responded to an establishment on Austine Drive for a report of an assault. Upon arrival Officers spoke with the victim and witnesses, and determined that Kevin McGirr, a 36 year old male from Brattleboro, had assaulted an individual that he had been in a relationship with in the past, and that the assault was motivated by hate.
McGirr left the scene on foot, and was later located by Officers on Canal St. McGirr also had an active arrest warrant in VT, which he was also arrested for. The victim was treated and released by EMS on scene with non life threatening injuries. McGirr was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was held in lieu of bail. McGirr will appear in court on 4/26/18 to answer his charge.
