Officer Fletcher On 12/23/20 at approximately 12:45 PM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence for a report of a male subject threatening individuals with a knife. Upon arrival officers made contact with the subject, Shaquran A. Holcomb of Brattleboro. Brattleboro Police dispatch advised Holcomb had an active warrant for his arrest. After multiple witnesses and victims were interviewed it was determined Holcomb had threatened bodily harm while brandishing a switchblade knife. There were no reported injuries. Holcomb was taken into custody and processed for the warrant and new offenses. Holcomb was held on $5,000 bail. He was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 12/24/2020 at 1230 hours.

Officer Llewelyn On 12/2/2020 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a motel on Putney Rd. for a report of people physically fighting. Upon arrival the victim was covered in blood and had a potential broken nose. The victim was taken to BMH to be evaluated. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Marshall T Dean a 58 year old man from Brattleboro VT. Dean was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was held in lieu of bail. Dean will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 12/3/2020 to answer to his charge. Jonathan Palmisano, 25, of Brattleboro, VT Officer Penniman On 6/19/2020 at approximately 5:08 PM Brattleboro Police, Brattleboro Fire and Rescue Inc responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries on Maple Street. The roadway was closed to traffic during the investigation of this crash. At approximately 5:31 PM while the scene was still occupied by emergency services, witnesses and those involved a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed drove through the scene. The vehicle nearly collided with emergency vehicles and several emergency workers and witnesses on scene. The vehicle crashed on Maple Street a short time later and the operator fled the scene on foot. At approximately 7:22 PM the operator, identified as Jonathan Palmisano, was later located and apprehended near Western Avenue and Guilford Street by Brattleboro Police and Vermont State Police including Vermont State Police K9. Palmisano was held in lieu of $10,000 bail and ordered to appear in court on 6/22/20 to answer to the charges of Gross Negligent Operation, Aggravated Assault (6 counts), Resisting Arrest and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Palmisano was also issued several tickets for civil vehicle operation violations. Justin Clough, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Llewelyn On 11/25/2019 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a medical building on Belmont Ave. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Justin E. Clough for Attempted Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault. Clough was transported to Southern State Correction Facility where he was held without bail. Clough will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 11/26/2019 to answer to his charges. Robert Sherman, 47, Brandon, VT
Officer Fletcher On 7/5/19 at approximately 11:22 AM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a parking lot in Downtown Brattleboro for a threatening complaint. The complainant reported a male subject, threw a bicycle at her and was now threatening her with a knife. Upon arrival police made contact with the male subject, identified as Robert C. Sherman 47 of Brandon VT. Sherman was still holding the knife in his hand and threw it down. Sherman was moderately intoxicated, aggressive and continuing to make verbal threats towards the complainant. The complainant advised she had not been hit with the bicycle, and was not injured by the knife. A second victim was identified on scene who had been struck by the thrown bicycle. No medical attention was necessary for either victim. Sherman was transported to the Brattleboro Police station where he was ordered held until sober. Sherman was later transferred to Southern State correctional facility where he was held on lack of $1500 bail. Sherman was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 7/8/19 at 12:30 PM. Moffit, Deven – 29 – Brattleboro, Vt.
Officer Washburn On June 05, 2019, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Main Street in the town of Brattleboro, for a report of an assault. Subsequent investigation revealed that 3 individuals attacked an 18 year old male while he was in another residence on Main Street. It was also reported that a gun was involved in this incident. The 18 year old male victim sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries and was transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. One of the 3 individuals that attacked the 18 year old male was identified as 19 year old Bobby Bethune. Bethune was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, and Interference with Emergency Services, and later ordered held without bail. Bethune will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 06/05/2019 to answer to the charge. Update On June 06, 2019, officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were able to locate a 2nd individual involved in the assault. The male subject was identified as Deven Moffitt age 29 of Brattleboro. Moffitt was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, and Interference with Emergency Services, and later ordered held on $10,000.00 bail. Moffitt will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 06/07/2019 to answer to the charges. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected. Colin Stockwell, 27, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Stanley On 3/28/19 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a facility on Birge Street for a report of an assault. The victim reported that Colin S Stockwell assaulted him and was attempting to start a fire inside the building. Subsequent investigation revealed that due to Stockwell’s behavior the victim attempted to call 911 but Stockwell prevented this by smashing his phone. Stockwell then attacked the victim and later attempted to start a fire inside the facility. Stockwell and the victim were later taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for non life threatening injuries. Stockwell was later transported to Southern State Correctional Facility and ordered to be held without bail pending arraignment. Stockwell will appear in Windham County Superior Court; Criminal Divison on 3/29/19 Bostwick, Clifford N., 58, of Brattleboro
Officer Fletcher On 3/6/19 at approximately 2pm, Brattleboro Officers responded to a residence on Central St. regarding a man threatening people with a handgun. Investigation revealed the man was Clifford Bostwick. Bostwick threatened two females with the gun and fled the residence before police arrived. No one was injured during the incident. On 3/12/19 Bostwick was located by officers and arrested for Aggravated Assault, Reckless Endangerment, and Disorderly Conduct. Bostwick was in possession of a handgun at the time of his arrest. Bostwick was ordered held on $1,000 bail, and will appear in court on 3/13/19 to face the charges. Detective Lieutenant Evans
