Det. Lynde On January 4, 2022 Brattleboro Police were asked to respond to a residence on Cedar Street for a male who was threatening subjects with a firearm and had barricaded himself in the basement of the residence. After ensuring no one else was in the house or in danger, police established a perimeter and requested the reponse of mental health professionals. The male inside the residence was identified as Dylan Baker. After approximately 2 hours Baker came out of the house and he was placed into custody without incident or injury to anyone. Baker was arrested and ordered to appear in court on January 5, 2022 for the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Anyone arrested or cited by the Brattleboro police department is presumed innocent until convicted of a crime in court.

Silas Clark, 24, of North Carolina
Officer Penniman On 12/27/21 the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal St. for an assault that had occurred. I nvestigation led to the arrest of Silas Clark for Aggravated assault. The victim was transported to the hospital with serious, non life threatening injuries. Clark was ordered held on bail, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 12/28/21 to answer his charge. Officer Abualjadail On 11/23/2021 at approximately 7:00 pm, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a reported assault that occurred on Canal St. in Brattleboro. Investigation revealed that Tyler Smith attacked three people with a mallet. One victim sustained an arm injury, another a stomach injury, and the third a back injury; none of the injuries were life threatening. Smith was cited and ordered to appear at Windham County Superior Court on 11/24/2021 to answer to his charges. Sgt. Cable On 9/30/2021 at approximately 11:54 AM Brattleboro Police responded to a report of a fight in progress behind a Canal Street business. Responding officers contacted witnesses, but the involved parties had left. Investigation led to the arrest of Alan Stay who struck a male victim in the head with an object. The victim sustained injuries to his head and face. Stay was held in lieu of $500 bail and was ordered into Windham Superior Court on 10/1/2021 to answer to the charge of aggravated assault. Officer Law On 8/28/21 at approximately 1445 hours the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a restaurant on Putney Rd. for a 911 call about a male attempting to assault two females and was destroying their vehicle. There was several separate 911 calls regarding this incident as well. Upon arrival Dylan Chambers was holding a metal pole and was acting in an aggressive manner. Chambers continued to act irrational and was yelling and screaming and would not put the pole down. Chambers threw the pole into the front windshield of the vehicle. Chambers was eventually arrested by the Brattleboro Police and transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Chambers was later transported to the Brattleboro Police where he was held on conditions and without bail. No other parties were injured during this incident. Chambers was charged with 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic, Aggravated Assault, Disorderly Conduct, Unlawful Mischief and Resisting Arrest. Chambers will appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 8/30/21. Kenneth Rosetta, 32, of Orlando, FL
Det. Lynde On March 2, 2021 Brattleboro Police received a tip that someone was being held against their will at a hotel room on Putney Road. Police responded and when they arrived the victim ran out the door to police. Police were able to locate the suspect inside the hotel room and identify him as Kenneth Rosetta. After an investigation took place Rosetta was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. Rosetta was ordered to be held without bail until he could appear in court on March 3, 2021. Shaquran Holcomb, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Fletcher On 12/23/20 at approximately 12:45 PM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence for a report of a male subject threatening individuals with a knife. Upon arrival officers made contact with the subject, Shaquran A. Holcomb of Brattleboro. Brattleboro Police dispatch advised Holcomb had an active warrant for his arrest. After multiple witnesses and victims were interviewed it was determined Holcomb had threatened bodily harm while brandishing a switchblade knife. There were no reported injuries. Holcomb was taken into custody and processed for the warrant and new offenses. Holcomb was held on $5,000 bail. He was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 12/24/2020 at 1230 hours. Dean Marshall, 58, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Llewelyn On 12/2/2020 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a motel on Putney Rd. for a report of people physically fighting. Upon arrival the victim was covered in blood and had a potential broken nose. The victim was taken to BMH to be evaluated. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Marshall T Dean a 58 year old man from Brattleboro VT. Dean was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was held in lieu of bail. Dean will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 12/3/2020 to answer to his charge. |
