Officer Fletcher On 5/23/20 at approximately 2:15PM Officers of the Brattleboro Police department received a domestic assault complaint. The victim called to report her husband, Craig C.Jacobsen, had assaulted her. After assaulting his wife, Jacobsen removed all electronic devices, blocking her from calling for help and refused to allow her to leave the residence for over twenty four hours before she was able to flee as he slept. The victim was evaluated for minor injuries. Jacobsen was located hiding in the attic of his residence. He was taken into custody and ordered held without bail until arraignment on 5/26/20.

Officer Carbone On May 18, 2020 , at approximately 2150 hours, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence in Morningside Commons for a reported family fight. No use of weapons or injuries were reported. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Todd A. Ward, 52 year old male from Brattleboro, for Second Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault. Ward was held on bail and is to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Divion on May 19, 2020, at 1230 hours to answer to the charge. Joshua Tefft, 39, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cooke On 3/23/19 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on West River Rd. in Brattleboro for a report of an intoxicated male that threatened people with a rifle, and left the scene into the woods. Brattleboro Police responded initially, and searched the scene. Vermont State Police then arrived on scene, and assisted with a more thorough search. BPD eventually located Joshua A. Tefft, a 39 year old male from Brattleboro, in the woods on an adjacent property. Police also recovered a firearm from the scene. Tefft was taken into custody without incident. Tefft was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital due to cold weather exposure. Tefft was later transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was processed, and held on $5,000 bail for 3 counts of Aggravated Domestic Assault. Tefft will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 3/25/19 at 1230 to answer his charges. Brattleboro Police shut down Rt. 30 in the area of the incident to insure public safety. Rt. 30 was closed for approximately 1.5 hours. Garland, Jonathan M, 23, Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cooke On March 12, 2019 the Brattleboro Police Department received a report of a Family Fight at a residence in Brattleboro. It was reported that a knife was involved in the incident, but nobody was injured. Following an investigation, Jonathan Garland, 23, of Brattleboro was arrested. Garland was transported to the Police Department where he was processed and charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault, Simple Assault, Unlawful Mischief, and Petit Larceny. Garland was ordered held without bail. |
