Unlawful Trespass into an Occupied Dwelling, Disorderly Conduct, Assault on LEO/bodily fluids1/21/2021 Shawn Hildreth, 48, of Newport, VT
Ashley Watson, 34, of Guilford, VT Officer Lockerby On 1/19/2021 at approximately 2052 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Elm Street for a report of 4 people fighting. Officers arrived on scene and eventually located all 4 subjects. It was discovered that Shawn M. Hildreth and Ashley L. Watson had entered into a residence that they were not priviledged to. Hildreth and Watson were involved in an altercation with the two victims which resulted in a disturbance in a public place. During the process of arresting Hildreth, he spit on one of the officers. Hildreth and Watson were both placed under and arrest and transported the the Brattleboro Police Department. Hildreth and Watson were both issued conditions of release and held in lieu of bail. They were both transported to the Southern State Correctional Facility. They are scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on January 20, 2021 to face the charges.

Tyler Smith, 34
Officer Cooke On 11/13/19 at approximately 3:45pm, Brattleboro Officers responded to a report of a man blocking traffic on Putney Rd. near the roundabout. Multiple callers reported the man, later identified as Tyler Smith, Jr., was jumping on cars and had smashed someone’s windshield. Smith immediately attacked the first officer to arrive on scene. The officer deployed a Taser to control Smith, but the Taser had little effect, stopping Smith only briefly. Smith attacked the officer again, charging him and repeatedly throwing punches at his head. A second officer arrived and deployed his baton. Smith charged the second officer, throwing punches at him, and was taken to the ground and placed in handcuffs by the officers. Smith was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Assault on an Officer, and Resisting Arrest. Smith will appear in court on 11/14/19 to face the charges. The two officers would like to express their thanks to the bystanders on scene who offered their assistance and support during and after the incident. Officer Penniman On 4/21/19 Brattleboro Police responded to the area of 9 Canal St. for a report of a female abusing drugs in her vehicle. Upon arrival Officers observed the female, Antoinette E. Mills, a 63 year old female from Brattleboro, conducting behavior in her vehicle consistent with drug abuse. Mills became physically resistant, and caused a scene on the street. Mills also attempted to injure officers several times. Mills was placed under arrest, and found to be in possession of 21 bags of heroin. Mills was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for evaluation. There, she was issued a citation for Possession of Heroin (Felony amount), Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, and Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer. Mills will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 5/28/19 to answer her charges. Pasquino, Joseph, A. 34 year old male of Brattleboro
Officer Kerylow On 02/22/2019 Brattleboro Police arrested Joseph A. Pasquino for trespassing at a business on Main Street. Pasquino was transported to Brattleboro Probation and Parole where he would be turned over to the custody of his probation officer. Upon arrival, Pasquino exited the cruiser and then assaulted a Brattleboro Police officer. Pasquino was issued a citation to appear in court on 02/25/2019 at 1230 pm and was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility by probation and parole. Jr Douglas, James, A. 28 of Brattleboro
Officer Kerylow On 07/23/2018 Brattleboro Police met with a female subject on High Street regarding a theft of her purse. The female reported she was walking on Green Street when a male subject came up from behind her and grabbed onto her purse which was tucked under her left arm. The female reported there was a struggle with the male and the male ripped the purse from her possession. As the male was running away, he fell and dropped the purse causing her wallet to fall onto the ground. The male then took her wallet and continued running. The description of the male that was provided matched the description of James A. Douglas Jr. During investigation officers were able to determine that one of the female’s debit cards was used shortly after the theft at a business on Canal Street. The employee at the business reported that Douglas had used the card to purchase cigarettes. Officers were able to locate Douglas at a public building on South Main Street. When Douglas was taken into custody he resisited arrest and assaulted a police officer. Douglas was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed and lodged. Douglas was issued Conditions of Release, a citation to appear in court on 07/24/2018 and was held in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. |
