George McCline, 29, of Brattleboro, VT
On 2/12/20 Brattleboro Police observed George McCline, a 29 year old male from Brattleboro, operating a motor vehicle. Police were aware that McCline’s license to operate a motor vehicle is criminally suspended.
Police attempted to conduct a motor vehicle stop, however McCline chose to flee in his vehicle, going through a busy intersection, and eluding the police.
McCline was later located, and placed under arrest. McCline was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was processed, and released on a citation. McCline will appear in court on 3/31/20 to answer his charges.
Jason Moul, 38, of Bellows Falls, VT
On 1/18/2020 at approximately 4 PM Brattleboro Police received information and a request for assistance from Vermont State Police regarding a vehicle theft they were investigating. Brattleboro Police located and attempted to stop the vehicle on Putney Road however the operator fled and attempted to elude them by accelerating and passing other vehicles. The vehicle was located unoccupied on Harris Avenue. Brattleboro Police then located the subject in front of a business on Putney Road and apprehended him without incident. Subsequent investigation revealed that the operator, Jason Moul (38 of Bellows Falls), had also entered a residence on Putney Road which he was not privileged to be in.
VSP took custody of Moul. Moul was held in lieu of $10,00 bail and is to appear in court on 1/21/2020 to answer to charges of Unlawful Trespass into an Occupied Dwelling, Grossly Negligent Operation, Attempting to Elude an Officer and additional charges brought forward by VSP. Multiple other agencies assisted including Chesterfield Police, Windham County Sheriff’s Office and Brattleboro Department of Public Works.
Zachariah McAllister, 28, of Westminster, VT
On 9/11/2019 Brattleboro Police received a tip that Zachariah A. McAllister (28 of Brattleboro) had an active arrest warrant and was driving a silver Mercedes vehicle. Officers located a vehicle and operator matching the description at a location on Putney Road. The vehicle was stopped and the operator was positively identified as McAllister.
McAllister’s license was criminally suspended for multiple prior convictions of driving with a civilly suspended license. McAllister fled from the traffic stop in the vehicle at a high rate of speed and without regard for traffic when told that he was under arrest. A “Be On the Lookout” was issued for McAllister and the vehicle.
As of this press release McAllister has not yet been apprehended by law enforcement. He is wanted for the charges of Driving with a Criminally Suspended License, Negligent Operation, Eluding a Police Officer and the active warrant. Theodore Colehamer, 44, of Brattleboro, VT
On 4/19/19 Brattleboro Police were on foot in the downtown area when they observed a male operating a motorized electric scooter on the sidewalk on Main St. Due to the fact that the male appeared to be having issues balancing the scooter, and was commiting a motor vehicle infraction by operating the scooter on the sidewalk, contact was made.
Upon contact police identified the male as Theodore D. Colehamer, a 44 year old male from Brattleboro. Police suspected Colehamer to be intoxicated, and ordered him to stay put while they went across the street to fetch their cruiser.
Colehamer fled the scene, and momentarily eluded police.
Colehamer was then seen on foot on Flat St. After a brief foot pursuit, Colehamer was taken into custody.
Colehamer was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was processed for DUI #4, Eluding a Police Officer, and Resisting Arrest. Before Colehamer was released, a search was done on his bag. In his bag a criminal amount of Marijuana was located.
Ryan Bratton, 21, of Guilford, VT
Amy Worcester, 19, of Keene, NH
On the evening of 4/1/19, Brattleboro Police received several calls about a vehicle being operated erratically in the area of Orchard St. The vehicle was not located.
In the early morning hours of 4/2, a call came in regarding erratic operation of a vehicle on Rt. 142, and the same vehicle description was given. Brattleboro Police located the vehicle, and attempted a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle refused to stop, and for safety reasons, Brattleboro Police did not pursue.
Approximately an hour later, a report of a single vehicle crash was reported on Bonnyvale Rd. Upon arrival, the vehicle was unoccupied, and was recognized as the vehicle that had eluded police earlier.
Through investigation of the evidence at the scene, police determined that Amy Worcester, a 19 year old female from Keene, NH, was involved, and had been in the vehicle. They also determined that Ryan Bratton, a 21 year old male from Guilford, VT, was involved as well.
Police contacted the two parties, and questioned them about the events. After the investigation, it was determined that Worcester lied to police during a sworn statement, and then lied to police about Bratton’s current whereabouts. It was also determined that Bratton was operating the vehicle.
Worcester was issued a citation for two counts of False Reports to Law Enforcement. Bratton was issued a citation for Criminal DLS, False Reports to Law Enforcement, Negligent Operation, and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. It was also determined that Bratton violated his Probation Conditions of Release. Both will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 5/14/19.
There were no injuries resulting from the crash.
Fisher, Derick. S. 24 Year Old Male from Brattleboro
On 2/2/19 Brattleboro Police observed a vehicle operating in an erratic manner on Canal St. Due to the operation, Police initiated a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle fled from Police, before becoming stuck in the snow on S. Main St. Investigation revealed that the operator, identified as Derick Fisher, a 24 year old male from Brattleboro, was under the influence of alcohol.
Fisher was placed under arrest for DUI, Gross Negligent Operation, Attempting to Elude, and for No License. Fisher was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation, along with court ordered conditions of release. Fisher will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 2/19/19 to answer his charges.
Possesion of Cocaine, Disorderly Conduct, Negligent Operation, Eluding, Resisting Arrest, Attempting to Escape
Chyquan Cupe, 21, of Hartford, CT
On 10/25/2018 at approx. 1800 hrs, Brattleboro Officers attempted to stop a vehicle on Canal Street which did not have its lights on. The operator jumped out of the vehicle without putting it into park and ran from Officers jumping over a fence into neighboring yards. Multiple Brattleboro units and Vermont State Police arrived on scene. A perimeter was set up and a search for the suspect was conducted. The suspect was never found. On 10/31/2018 at approximately 1830 hrs, a Brattleboro Officer on patrol, observed the suspect in the same general location and made contact with him. The suspect again attempted to run. Force was used to control the suspect. He was placed under arrest and was found to be in possession of cocaine. While handcuffed, the suspect attempted to escape. He was identified as Chyquan M Cupe 21, from Hartford CT. Cupe was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed and ordered held on $2500 bail. He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 10/30/2018 to answer to the charges.
Aaliyah Jacobs, 19, of Brattleboro, VT
On 10/17/2018, Brattleboro Officers observed a motor vehicle on Canal Street. Officers knew from prior Law Enforcement contact that the operator had a Criminally Suspended Driver’s License. The vehicle fled from Officers and was later located. Jacobs was issued a Citation for Grossly Negligent Operation, Attempting to Elude, Driving while criminally suspended and false info to an Officer. She will appear in Windham County Superior Court on 12/04/2018 to answer to the charges.
