Sexual Assault, Violation of Abuse Prevention Order, Aggravated Stalking, Burglary of an Occupied Dwelling
Carlos Rodriguez, 32, of Springfield, MA
On 9/13/19 the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Western Ave to investigate a possible domestic dispute. The complainant reported receiving a concerning phone message in regards to a friend of his who may be in distress due to a subject violating a restraining order. Officers responded to the residence where it was determined that Carlos J. Rodriguez was in violation of an active abuse prevention order.
Subsequent investigation led to further charges of sexual assault, burglary of an occupied dwelling, and aggravated stalking.
Rodriguez was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was lodged and ordered held without bail. Rodriguez will appear in Windham County Superior Court; Criminal Division on 9/16/19 to answer to the charges.
Tara Villeneuve, 32, of Brattleboro, VT
Cheryl Gagne, 33, of Brattleboro, VT
On 04/18/2019 at approximately 3am Brattleboro Police responded to a motel on Canal Street for a possible assault.
Through investigation it was determined that Tara L. Villeneuve and Cheryl L. Gagne had forced their way into a motel room and assaulted another female. The female was not treated for any injuries.
Villeneuve and Gagne were both placed under arrest and were transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Villeneuve was held in lieu of $5,000 cash bail and will appear in court today at 1230 pm to answer the charge. Gagne was held in lieu of $2,000 cash bail and will appear in court today at 1230pm to answer the charge.
Tonya Camolli, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/9/18 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Washington St for a report of a burglary. The complainant stated that she knew who broke in, and identified her as Tonya Camolli, a 34 Year Old Female from Brattleboro.
The complainant described the vehicle that Camolli was seen leaving in, which was a vehicle that was familiar to officers involved in the investigation.
A short while later officers located the vehicle and Camolli on Pleasant St. Vermont State Police responded as well.
Camolli was taken into custody by Vermont State Police for separate, yet similar charges, and was issued a citation by Brattleboro PD.
Camolli was charged with Burglary into an occupied dwelling, and numerous counts of Contempt of Court.
Camolli will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 7/10/18 to answer her charges.
Grenfell, Jeremy A 30, of Bellows Falls VT
Mercier, Nicolas A 20, of Rutland VT
On 4/09/2018, Brattleboro Officers responded to a burglary of a residence on Spruce Street. While they were investigating they received information about the location of the possible suspects. Officers went to make contact with the suspects and while speaking with them the suspects attempted to flee. One of the suspects Nicholas A Mercier 20 of Rutland VT was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The other Jeremy A Grenfell 30, of Bellows Falls was located hiding in a residence on Canal Street. During the course of the investigation, it was learned that the suspects had broken into another residence on Western Ave as well. Grenfell and Mercier were taken to the Brattleboro Police Department where they were lodged. Grenfell was held in lieu of $10,000 bail and Mercier was held in lieu of $5,000 bail. They are scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 4/10/2018, to answer to the charges.
