John Pease, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On 12/5/2021 at approximately 4:22 AM Brattleboro Police responded to a report of an assault at a South Street residence. Investigation revealed that John Pease had entered the residence of a male victim and assaulted him. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Police previously had received a report of Pease having broken into a residence in which he was not privileged to be in on 12/2/2021. During that time, a male victim sustained non-life threatening injuries.
Police received another call at approximately 5:22 AM that a person, later identified as Pease, was in another person’s residence and had refused to leave. Pease was arrested for all three incidents at that time and held in lieu of $2,500 bail. Pease is to appear in Windham Superior Court on 12/6/2021 to answer to the charges of Burglary, Unlawful Trespass, Unlawful Mischeif and Simple Assault.
Anyone arrested or cited by the Brattleboro police department is presumed innocent until convicted of a crime in court.
Justine Lovig, 54, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/1/21 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched multiple times to an apartment complex on South St. Offices came in contact with Justine H Lovig a 54 year old female. Officer received complaints of harassment done by Lovig earlier in the day. Lovig was issued a citation for disorderly conduct and released. Approximately 2 hours later, officers went back to South St. and took a complainant that Lovig broke into an apartment and stole a cat. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Lovig for Burglary and Petit Larceny. Lovig was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where she was later released. Lovig is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 6/2/21 to answer to her charges.
