Officer Fletcher On 10/27/2020 at approximately 6:00 AM, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence for a report of a disorderly male subject. The complainant reported the male, later identified as Omi Perez, kicked in the back door and was currently outside screaming. Upon arrival officers spoke with several witnesses, some of whom had been woken up by the commotion. Perez was no longer in the area. The rear door of the apartment was found to have sustained minor damage but was still secure. Perez had not gained entry into the residence or harmed any of the occupants Perez was later located and taken into custody. He was processed for the offenses and released on conditions and a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 10/28/2020 at 8:00 AM.

Nicholas Prue, 35, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 8/29/20 Brattleboro Police responded to a burglary alarm at a business on Old Ferry Rd. in Brattleboro. Upon arrival Police observed evidence of a break in, and began to investigate the crime. Investigation led officers to arrest Nicholas M. Prue, a 35 year old male from Brattleboro, for Burglary, Unlawful Mischief, and for violating his court ordered conditions of release. Prue was processed, and released on a citation. Prue will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 9/1/20 to answer his charges. This is an ongoing investigation, as evidence supports the fact that Prue did not work alone. Sgt. Cable Officer Law On 8/23/2020 at approximately 10:22 PM Brattleboro Police received a call for a stalking complaint. A female victim reported that Loren Bedward of Brattleboro had been repeatedly following her, showing up at her residence, waiting at locations for her, sending her violent, threatening text messages and repeatedly calling her and threatening her after clear communication that the behavior was unwanted. A prior investigation from 8/19/2020 revealed that Bedward had repeatedly strangled the female victim. A 911 call from the victim at approximately 1:40 AM reported that Bedward was actively attempting to force entry into her residence. Brattleboro Police along with Vermont State Police responded to the call. Brattleboro Police were on scene in under a minute and observed a male matching Bedward fleeing the scene. Reports were that there was also a male still inside the residence. Brattleboro Police secured the scene but were unable to locate the male that fled. The male was eventually identified as Bedward. Bedward was taken into custody at approximately 5 AM. Bedward was ordered to be held without bail. Bedward is to be arraigned on 8/24/2020 to answer to the charges of 1st Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault, Stalking and Burglary into an Occupied Dwelling. Jesse Johnson,40, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Emery On 08/26/19, the Brattleboro Police Department took a report of a burglary that occurred at a business on Flat Street. After an investigation, it was discovered that Jesse L. Johnson, 40 of Brattleboro, had smashed a window and stolen several items from the store. He was arrested and issued a citation to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 11/05/19 to answer to the above charges. Corey Whidden, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Kerylow On 08/03/19 at approximately 2:06pm, Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Brook Street for a report of a theft. Investigation revealed that Corey A. Whidden entered an apartment on Brook Street without permission of the occupants, and took a bag containing various items from the residence. Whidden was located on Canal Street. He was arrested, and charged with the offense of Burglary into an occupied dwelling. He was lodged at the BPD in lieu of $2500 bail, and is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 08/05/19. Daniel Baldwin-Page, 20, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Llewelyn On 7/10/2019 at approximately 1624 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a complaint of a theft on Glen St. Subsequent investigation showed that Daniel Baldwin-Page Burglarized a house on Glen St. On 7/20/2019 at approximately 2200 hours, Daniel Baldwin-Page turned himself in to the Brattleboro Police. He was arrested and later released with a citation and conditions. Baldwin-Page will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Divison on July 22nd 2019 to face the charge. Officer Washburn
Brattleboro Police are investigating a burglary that occurred at 802 E-Cig Supply on Putney Road on 05/11/19, between the hours of 10:00pm and 11:00pm. Investigation revealed that an unidentified male stole a large amount of merchandise from inside the store, to include vaping products. Attached are still photos of the suspect, who is a white male approximately 5'8"-5’10” with a heavy build and dark facial hair. He also appears to be carrying a satchel. On March 9 2019 at approximately 0255 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Sam’s on Main St. for a burglary alarm. Upon arrival officers found evidence that the store had been broken into. Sam’s was searched but there was no one still inside. Review of the surveillance video from Sam’s revealed that at approximately 0130 hours a single suspect broke the door, and thereafter at approximately 0250 hours the suspect returned, entered the store, and stole items. The suspect has not yet been identified. Anyone with information that can help identify and prosecute the suspect is urged to come forward. Gallo Jr., Michael A., 37, Guilford, VT
Officer Cooke On October 23, 2018 the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Michael Gallo Jr., 37, of Guilford, VT for Burglary and Possession of a Depressant. Gallo was located after a business owner called 911 to advise that somebody was taking items from their business. Gallo was stopped on Canal St and found to be in possession of the items. Gallo was also found to be in possession of a depressant. Gallo was released on a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division at a later date to answer to the above charges. Cassell Jr, Charles, R. 27 of Brattleboro
Officer Kerylow On 11/05/2018 at approximately 1030am Brattleboro Police responded to a shelter on Royal Road for a reported burglary that occurred over the weekend. Through video surveillance police were able to positively identify the suspect that had broken into the building as Charles R. Cassell Jr. It was also discovered that Cassell had active Conditions of Release for a 24 hour curfew. Cassell was later located at a residence in Wilmington where he is required to live per his Conditions of Release. Cassell was taken into custody by the Wilmington Police Department and was transported to Brattleboro. Cassell was issued Conditions of Release, ordred to appear in court on 11/06/2018 at 1230pm and was held in lieu of $10,000. |
