Violation of Abuse Prevention Order, Violations of Conditions of Release, Lewd and Lacsvious Conduct
Mark Caslin Jr, 30, of Brattleboro, VT
On 2/14/19 at approximately 2055 hours the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a local residence for a reported Abuse Prevention Order Violation. Upon arrival it was determined that Mark Caslin Jr, 30, of Brattleboro, was violating a court ordered Abuse Prevention Order, and court ordered conditions of release. Caslin was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. While at the Police Department Caslin committed the crime of Lewd and Lascivious Conduct. Caslin was ultimately held for lack of $1,000 bail and cited to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division to answer to the charges of Violation of an Abuse Prevention Order, Violation of Conditions of Release and Lewd and Lascivious Conduct. Caslin was cited to appear in court on 2/15/19 to answer to the charges.
Munroe, Alexander, M. – 28 – Brattleboro, VT
On January 7, 2019 at approximately 1647 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence for a report of a Violations of Conditions. Subsequent investigation revealed that Alexander Munroe violated his court ordered conditions of release in that he went to a residence that he was not allowed to, and had contact with a female that he was not allowed to. On January 17, 2019 Munroe was located and placed under arrest for the violation. Munroe was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed, cited and released on new conditions to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 2/26/19 to answer to the charge.
Lindvall, Calijah. B. 19 Year Old Male from Brattleboro.
On 7/21/18 Calijah B. Lindvall, a 19 year old male from Brattleboro, was issued conditions of release by the Windham County Superior Court.
Lindvall violated these conditions 14 times. On 1/12/19 Lindvall was issued a citation for these transgressions.
Lindvall will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 2/19/19 to answer his charge.
Michael Travers, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 12/31/18 at approximately 9:40pm, Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Main Street for a report of a disturbance involving a male and female. The male, identified as Michael P. Travers had left the scene. Investigation revealed that Travers had violated his court ordered conditions of release by having contact with the female party.
Travers was later located by Vermont State Police in Townshend, and issued a citation ordering him to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 02/05/19.
Kevin Cameron, 53, of Brattleboro, VT
On 12/31/18, the Brattleboro Police Department made contact with Kevin M. Cameron, 53, of Brattleboro. It was discovered that Cameron was in violation of current court ordered conditions of release. Cameron was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was lodged in lieu of $10,000.00 bail. He will answer to these charges at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 01/02/19.
Bobby Bethune, 18, of New Jersey
On 12/20/18 Brattleboro Police responded to an establishment on S. Main St. for a trespassing complaint.
Upon arrival Police observed Bobby Bethune, an 18 year old male from New Jersey, behind the wheel of a vehicle.
Bethune was not trespassing, however currently has court ordered conditions of release not to operate a motor vehicle.
Due to extenuating circumstances, Bethune was not immediately arrested. Bethune was located later, and issued a citation for the offense.
Bethune will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/22/19 to answer his charge.
Carol VanWormer, 43, of South Burlington, VT
On 12/10/2018 at approximately 1619 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a female subject “huffing” outside a Putney Road Business.
Responding Officers located Carol VanWormer (43 of South Burlington) matching the description. VanWormer was found to be in possession of an inhalant which is a violation of her court ordered conditions of release. VanWormer was issued the conditions on 12/10/18 stemming from a criminal case where she was caught misusing inhalants.
VanWormer provided law enforcement with a false name during the investigation. VanWormer was brought to the hospital for an evaluation and later released with a citation.
At approximately 1936 hours Brattleboro Police received another call about a woman entering a person’s vehicle and then “huffing”. Brattleboro Police responded and found VanWormer inside a vehicle that did not belong to her. VanWormer was in the process of using inhalants. VanWormer was arrested and lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department. VanWormer was held in lieu of $1,000 bail and ordered to be in court on 12/11/18 to answer to the charges of Criminal Contempt, Misuse of Inhalants and False Information to Law Enforcement.
Sorensen L. Thomas, 50, of Brattleboro, VT
On December 5 2018 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal St. for a suspicious complaint. Upon arrival officers met Thomas Sorensen, who appeared to be under the influence of illicit drugs. Subsequent investigation revealed that Sorensen had driven to the business but was too impaired to drive, had violated Court-ordered conditions of release by contacting a woman he came to the business with, and was in possession of heroin. Sorensen was arrested and held in lieu of bail. Sorensen will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on December 6 to face the charges.
Cassell Jr, Charles, R. 27 of Brattleboro
On 11/05/2018 at approximately 1030am Brattleboro Police responded to a shelter on Royal Road for a reported burglary that occurred over the weekend.
Through video surveillance police were able to positively identify the suspect that had broken into the building as Charles R. Cassell Jr. It was also discovered that Cassell had active Conditions of Release for a 24 hour curfew.
Cassell was later located at a residence in Wilmington where he is required to live per his Conditions of Release. Cassell was taken into custody by the Wilmington Police Department and was transported to Brattleboro. Cassell was issued Conditions of Release, ordred to appear in court on 11/06/2018 at 1230pm and was held in lieu of $10,000.
Charles Cassell, 27, of Brattleboro, VT
On 10/25/2018, Brattleboro Officers were at a residence on Canal Street searching for a suspect involved in an assault. While searching the residence, Officers observed a male hiding in a rear room closet and ordered him out. Officers recognized the male from prior law enforcement contact as Charles Cassell and knew that he had a 24 hour curfew requiring him to reside at a different residence. A records check confirmed this and he was arrested. Cassell is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 10/26/18 to answer to the charge.
