Carol VanWormer, 43, of South Burlington, VT
On 12/10/2018 at approximately 1619 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a female subject “huffing” outside a Putney Road Business.
Responding Officers located Carol VanWormer (43 of South Burlington) matching the description. VanWormer was found to be in possession of an inhalant which is a violation of her court ordered conditions of release. VanWormer was issued the conditions on 12/10/18 stemming from a criminal case where she was caught misusing inhalants.
VanWormer provided law enforcement with a false name during the investigation. VanWormer was brought to the hospital for an evaluation and later released with a citation.
At approximately 1936 hours Brattleboro Police received another call about a woman entering a person’s vehicle and then “huffing”. Brattleboro Police responded and found VanWormer inside a vehicle that did not belong to her. VanWormer was in the process of using inhalants. VanWormer was arrested and lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department. VanWormer was held in lieu of $1,000 bail and ordered to be in court on 12/11/18 to answer to the charges of Criminal Contempt, Misuse of Inhalants and False Information to Law Enforcement.
Sorensen L. Thomas, 50, of Brattleboro, VT
On December 5 2018 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal St. for a suspicious complaint. Upon arrival officers met Thomas Sorensen, who appeared to be under the influence of illicit drugs. Subsequent investigation revealed that Sorensen had driven to the business but was too impaired to drive, had violated Court-ordered conditions of release by contacting a woman he came to the business with, and was in possession of heroin. Sorensen was arrested and held in lieu of bail. Sorensen will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on December 6 to face the charges.
Cassell Jr, Charles, R. 27 of Brattleboro
On 11/05/2018 at approximately 1030am Brattleboro Police responded to a shelter on Royal Road for a reported burglary that occurred over the weekend.
Through video surveillance police were able to positively identify the suspect that had broken into the building as Charles R. Cassell Jr. It was also discovered that Cassell had active Conditions of Release for a 24 hour curfew.
Cassell was later located at a residence in Wilmington where he is required to live per his Conditions of Release. Cassell was taken into custody by the Wilmington Police Department and was transported to Brattleboro. Cassell was issued Conditions of Release, ordred to appear in court on 11/06/2018 at 1230pm and was held in lieu of $10,000.
Charles Cassell, 27, of Brattleboro, VT
On 10/25/2018, Brattleboro Officers were at a residence on Canal Street searching for a suspect involved in an assault. While searching the residence, Officers observed a male hiding in a rear room closet and ordered him out. Officers recognized the male from prior law enforcement contact as Charles Cassell and knew that he had a 24 hour curfew requiring him to reside at a different residence. A records check confirmed this and he was arrested. Cassell is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 10/26/18 to answer to the charge.
Cassell, Charles R 27, of Brattleboro
On 9/25/2018, Brattleboro Officers observed a male standing in front of a Canal Street residence. Officers knew the male from prior Law Enforcement contacts and knew the male to be Charles R Cassell. Officers were aware that Cassell had recently been released from Southern State Correctional Facility and knew that he had a 24 hour curfew at a residence in Whitingham. A records check confirmed this and he was issued a Citation. Cassell is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 10/09/18 to answer to the charge.
Parent, Phyllis M., 29, of Brattleboro
On September 16 2018 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department located Phyllis Parent in a public building on Flat St., in violation of a No Trespass Warning and Court-ordered conditions of release. Parent was arrested and later released with a citation. Parent will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on October 23 to face the charge.
Clough, Justin, E age 38 of Brattleboro
On September 2, 2018 at approximately 7:40am Brattleboro Police responded to Main St for a report of a male subject that had broken a window at a local business.
Brattleboro Police later located and identified Justin Clough age 38 of Brattleboro as the male subject that had broken the window. Clough was released on citation and is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superoir Court Criminal Division on October 9, 2018 at 8:00am

Tonya Camolli, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/9/18 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Washington St for a report of a burglary. The complainant stated that she knew who broke in, and identified her as Tonya Camolli, a 34 Year Old Female from Brattleboro.
The complainant described the vehicle that Camolli was seen leaving in, which was a vehicle that was familiar to officers involved in the investigation.
A short while later officers located the vehicle and Camolli on Pleasant St. Vermont State Police responded as well.
Camolli was taken into custody by Vermont State Police for separate, yet similar charges, and was issued a citation by Brattleboro PD.
Camolli was charged with Burglary into an occupied dwelling, and numerous counts of Contempt of Court.
Camolli will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 7/10/18 to answer her charges.
