Andrews, Adrasteia K- 40- Brattleboro
On 6/1/2019 the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on S Main Street for a speeding violation. During the motor vehicle stop it was determined that the operator, Adrasteia Andrews’ license to operate a motor vehicle was currently under criminal suspension in the State of Vermont. Andrews was subsequently issued a criminal citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court; Criminal Divison on 7/23/19 at 8am for the offense of Driving After Suspension or Revocation of License.
Lyon, Nicholas. W. 27 Year Old Male from Vernon, VT
On 5/16/19 Brattleboro Police were called to a petrol dispersal station on Canal St for a report of an intoxicated male that was causing a disturbance, and had driven to the location. Upon arrival officers made contact with the operator, Nicholas W. Lyon, a 27 year old male from Vernon, VT.
Investigation revealed that Lyon operated a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Also revealed was the fact that Lyon’s license to operate a motor vehicle was criminally suspended due to a previous DUI. Lyon was placed under arrest, and resisted.
Lyon was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation for DUI, Criminal DLS, and Resisting Arrest.
Lyon will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 6/4/19 to answer his charges.
Ian Biercuk, 34, of Jamaica, VT
On 4/11/19 an officer from the Brattleboro Police Department executed a motor vehicle stop due to a registration violation.
The operator, Ian J. Biercuk, a 34 Year Old Male from Jamaica, VT, was found to have a criminally suspended license.
Biercuk was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation for DLS. Biercuk will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 5/28/19 to answer his charge.
Ryan Bratton, 21, of Guilford, VT
Amy Worcester, 19, of Keene, NH
On the evening of 4/1/19, Brattleboro Police received several calls about a vehicle being operated erratically in the area of Orchard St. The vehicle was not located.
In the early morning hours of 4/2, a call came in regarding erratic operation of a vehicle on Rt. 142, and the same vehicle description was given. Brattleboro Police located the vehicle, and attempted a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle refused to stop, and for safety reasons, Brattleboro Police did not pursue.
Approximately an hour later, a report of a single vehicle crash was reported on Bonnyvale Rd. Upon arrival, the vehicle was unoccupied, and was recognized as the vehicle that had eluded police earlier.
Through investigation of the evidence at the scene, police determined that Amy Worcester, a 19 year old female from Keene, NH, was involved, and had been in the vehicle. They also determined that Ryan Bratton, a 21 year old male from Guilford, VT, was involved as well.
Police contacted the two parties, and questioned them about the events. After the investigation, it was determined that Worcester lied to police during a sworn statement, and then lied to police about Bratton’s current whereabouts. It was also determined that Bratton was operating the vehicle.
Worcester was issued a citation for two counts of False Reports to Law Enforcement. Bratton was issued a citation for Criminal DLS, False Reports to Law Enforcement, Negligent Operation, and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. It was also determined that Bratton violated his Probation Conditions of Release. Both will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 5/14/19.
There were no injuries resulting from the crash.
Cote, Matthew. J. 43 Year Old Male from Brattleboro
On the evening of 4/6/19 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 30 due to an equipment violation. The operator, Matthew J. Cote, a 43 year old male from Brattleboro, was found to be operating the vehicle while having a criminally suspended license. Cote’s license is currently under criminal suspension stemming from a prior DUI arrest.
Cote was also found to have active conditions of release stemming from the prior DUI, to include the conditions to not drive a vehicle, not consume alcohol, and to submit to a alcosensor when requested. Cote violated all three conditions.
Cote was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation for Criminal DLS, and Contempt of Court. Cote will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 5/14/19 to answer his charges.
Stauffer, Steven R – 41 – Dummerston, VT
On March 4, 2019 at approximately 1906 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on South Main Street for a defective equipment violation. The operator was identified as Steven R. Stauffer, of Dummerston, VT. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Stauffer’s driver’s license was criminally suspended. Stauffer was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed, issued a citation and released. Stauffer is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 4/9/2019 to answer to the charge.
George McClinef, 28, of Chester, VT
On February 18, 2019 at approximately 1947 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to an abandoned vehicle on Canal Street. While waiting for the truck to be towed, an officer observed a male walking towards the vehicle. The male was identified as George McCline, 28, of Chester, VT. McCline admitted to being the responsible owner and operator of the vehicle. Upon further investigation it was discovered that McCline’s driver’s license was criminally suspended. He was issued a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on March 26, 2019 at 0800 hours to answer for the charge.
James Cleveland, 55, of Brattleboro, VT
On 02/09/19, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a parking lot for a report of a male sleeping in a vehicle and may be in need of services. It was discovered that the male, James M. Cleveland, 55 of Brattleboro had a criminally suspended drivers lcisnse. He was issued a citation to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 03/26/19.
Kyle Temple, 23, of Putney, VT
On 1/23/2019 at approximately 3:29 PM officers of the Brattleboro Police observed a black SUV unlawfully pass a school bus on Putney Road. The bus was displaying its flashing red lights and was actively offloading children.
A motor vehicle stop was initiated and the operator of the vehicle was identified as Kyle Temple (23 of Putney). When Temple’s license was run it was discovered that it had been criminally suspended in the State of Vermont. Temple’s license was suspended stemming from a conviction of Driving under the Influence.
Kyle was issued a citation and released to appear in court on 3/12/19 at 8:00 AM to answer to the charge of Driving with a Criminally Suspended License.
Marshall Dean, 57, Brattleboro, VT
On January 25, 2019 at approximately 2114 hours the Brattleboro Police Department were on a directed patrol in the Town of Brattleboro, when an officer observed a vehicle that had an expired registration. A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the operator, Marshall T. Dean, 57, of Brattleboro was ultimately arrested for driving with a criminally suspended license. Dean was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed and released on a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on March 12, 2019 at 0800 hours.
