James Owens, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/25/20 Brattleboro Police responded to the parking lot located at 499 Canal St. for an active physical fight.
Investigation revealed that James Owens, a 34 year old male from Brattleboro had assaulted 3 individuals.
Owens was placed under arrest for Simple Assault (X3), and disorderly conduct. Owens was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation.
Owens will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 9/1/20 to answer his charges.
There were no injuries.
Sean Wall, 46, of Hinsdale, NH
On 7/17/20, Brattleboro Police were on patrol when they came upon an active physical fight taking place on Canal St.
Police intervened, and Sean Wall, a 46 year old male from Hinsdale, NH fled the scene.
Investigation revealed that Wall was the aggressor in the altercation. A brief search took place in the downtown area, and Wall was eventually located and taken into custody.
Wall was found to be in possession of a misdemeanor amount of heroin / fentanyl.
Wall was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on court ordered conditions of release. Wall will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 7/20/20 to answer his charges.
There were no injuries.
Erica Walker, 38, of Claremont, NH
On July 14, 2020 at approximately 9:15am the Brattleboro Police were dispatched to a possible domestic disturbance call at a local hotel on Putney rd. in Brattleboro. Officers arrived and found that Erica Walker age 38 of Claremont NH had committed the offenses of Unlawful Mischief and Disorderly conduct. Walker was issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on August 18, 2020 at 8:00am.
Jamie (Olivia) Trill, 36, of Brattleboro, VT
On July 03, 2020 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Putney Road, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of a female throwing a soda can at a male’s nose. Subsequent investigation revealed that Jamie “Olivia” Trill was acting disorderly when she threw the can of soda at the male’s nose and in a public place used abusive and obscene language.
The male sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. Trill was cited for Disorderly Conduct and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 08/18/2020 to answer to the charge.
Peter Garrett, 33, of Springfield, MA
On July 7, 2020 at approximately 1058 Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department located Peter Garrett age 33 of Springfield MA. walking on Putney rd. in Brattleboro. Garrett has conditions of release that prevent him from being in the Town of Brattleboro unless for Court hearings or meetings with attorneys. Garrett was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was held on $100.00 bail. Garrett is scheduled to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on July 7, 2020 at 12:30pm.
Karen Steele, 63, of Brattleboro, VT
On June 17, 2020 at approximately 0915 Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a restaurant on Putney rd. for an altercation that had taken place between an employee of the business and a patron. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined that Karen Steele age 63 of Brattleboro had committed the offense of Disorderly conduct. Steele was issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on August 11, 2020 at 8:00am.
Breann Campbell, 43, of Brattleboro, VT
On June 28, 2020 Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispactched to a Hotel on Putney rd. for an altercation that had occurred. Officers arrived and after speaking with all parties involved it was determined that Breann Campbell age 43 of Brattleboro had created a public disturbance while using racial slurs. Campbell was arrested for Hate Motivated Disorderly Conduct. Campbell was taken into custody and was released on conditions and was cited to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on June 29, 2020 at 12:30pm.
Justin Clough, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/27/20 Brattleboro Police responded to the Brattleboro Retreat for a trespassing complaint.
Police made contact with the subject, who was identified as Justin E. Clough, a 40 year old male from Brattleboro. Clough had been previously trespassed from the Brattleboro Retreat for planting a fake bomb on the premises.
Police attempted to place Clough under arrest, who decided to run to avoid arrest. Clough disrupted the flow of traffic while running, and shouted vulgarities within earshot of those out in the public.
Clough continued to physically resist officers as they attempted to place him into custody.
Clough was placed into custody, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and issued court ordered conditions of release. Bail imposed, and Clough was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility. Clough will be arraigned on 6/29/20 via internet arraignment.
Justin Clough, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/26/2020 at approximately 1418 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Main Street for a report of an assault. While responding officers received a detailed description of the suspect who fled on foot.
Officers met the with the male victim who stated that he was assaulted and that his glasses were broken. Evidence at the scene confirmed the victims statements. The incident occurred in a busy public place with a high volume of pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic. The victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries.
Officers located the suspect nearby and identified him as Justin E. Clough. Clough was still displaying aggressive behavior in public. While investigating this incident it was discovered that Clough had recently entered a business on High Street that he was previously trespassed from.
Clough was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted, photographed, temporarily lodged, issued a citation and conditions and released. He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on June 29, 2020 to face the charges.
Christopher Rigali, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/19/20 at approximately 1009 PM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a local bank for a report of a disorderly male subject. Prior to arrival On scene the male subject left on foot.
While investigating the incident the Brattleboro police dispatch received another complaint of a disorderly male at a nearby business. The male matched the description of the male from the bank. A third report of the same male acting disorderly was received by dispatch from another location. The third location, a local hotel, identified the male as Christopher Rigali, 40 of Brattleboro, whom they had recently trespassed from their property. Dispatch confirmed Rigali had been previously trespassed from the Hotel.
Rigali was later located walking on Putney Rd in Brattleboro. He was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police station where he was processed for the offenses. Rigali was issued additional trespass warnings and released on a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 8/11/20.
