John Mudge, 42, of Brattleboro, VT

On April 01, 2021, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Vernon Street, in the town of Brattleboro, for defective equipment, failure to maintain lane, and failure to signal. The operator of the vehicle was identified as John D. Mudge Jr., a 42 year old male from Brattleboro, VT. Subsequent investigation revealed Mudge’s driver’s license was criminally suspended in Vermont, he was violating conditions of release by operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, and he was in possession of cocaine and prescription medication that was not his. Mudge was given a new set of conditions of release, cited and released. Mudge will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on April 02, 2021 to answer for the charges.

Nicholas Dickinson, 39, of Brattleboro, VT

On 3/11/21 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were patrolling Elliot St. Officers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the Harmony Parking lot. Officers identified the operator of the vehicle as Nicholas Dickinson. Dickinson was operating on a criminally suspended license and arrested. Dickinson was issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court Criminal Division on 4/20/21 to answer to his charge. Dickinson was then released.

Brian Short, 50, Brattleboro, VT

On 12/14/2020 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were on patrol on Marlboro Ave. Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for a moving violation on Marlboro Rd. Officers identified the operator of the vehicle to be Brian Short a 50 year old male. Subsequent investigation showed Short was operating on a criminally suspended license. During a search of the vehicle Officers located Heroin, Crack Cocaine, and prescription pills. Short was arrested and the drugs were seized. Short was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was lodged and later released on conditions and a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division to answer to his charges.

Nathaniel Murano, 24, of Brattleboro, VT

On November 28, 2020, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canal Street, in the town of Brattleboro, for operating on a suspended driver’s license. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Nathaniel Murano, a 24 year old male from Brattleboro, VT. Subsequent investigation revealed Murano’s driver’s license was criminally suspended in Vermont. Murano was issued a citation for driving with a criminally suspended license, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on January 12, 2021 to answer for the charge.

Cara Rodriques, 30, of Brattleboro, VT

On 11/28/20 Brattleboro Police observed a vehicle leaving a business on Canal St. Police recognized this vehicle as one registered to Cara L. Rodrigues, a 30 Year Old Female from Brattleboro. Several equipment violations were also observed.
Police contacted Rodrigues in the adjacent parking lot, and placed her under arrest for Criminal DLS, as her license in Vermont is criminally suspended.
Probable cause of drug activity was developed during this investigation. A search of Rodrigues’ belongings was done, and Rodrigues was found to be in possession of a misdemeanor amount of Fentanyl.
Rodrigues was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There she was processed, and released on a citation. Rodrigues will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/12/21 to answer her charges.

Jillian Taylor 37, of Bellows Falls, VT

On 11/17/20 at approximately 0803 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department located a motor vehicle on Western Ave that appeared to have been invoved in a motor vehicle crash.
 
 The vehicle has sustained moderate front-end damage with smoke coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was unoccupied. Witnesses in the area advised the vehicle was just parked on the side of the roadway and the female operator crossed the street and went into a nearby residence.
 
A short time later, the female operator returned to her vehicle, she was identified as Jillian N. Taylor of Bellows Falls, VT. A check of Taylors motor vehicle records showed her license was criminally suspended. Taylor made arrangements to have her vehicle removed from the scene and she was taken into custody.
 
Taylor was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where she was processed for the incident. She was released on citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 1/12/2021.

Jonatthan Lescord, 35, of Brattleboro, VT

On October 27, 2020 at approximately 8:11am Officers from the Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canal St. in Brattleboro.  During the traffic it was determined that Jonathan Lescord age 35 of Brattleboro was operating a motor vehicle with a criminally suspended drivers license.  Lescord was released with a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on December 1, 2020 at 8:00am.

Thomas Houle, Jr, 41, of Dummerston, VT

On 10/25/2020 Brattleboro Police were conducting traffic enforcement on Cedar Street when they stopped Thomas J Houle Jr for a traffic violation.  Investigation revealed Houle was operating the vehicle while his license was under criminal suspension in the State of Vermont for refusing to provide a breath sample during a DUI investigation.  Houle was arrested and later released on a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court on 12/1/2020 at 0800 hours to answer to the charge.

Arthur Styles, 49, of Brattleboro, VT

On 10/17/2020 at approximately 2139 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a report of a vehicle stuck in a ditch on the corner of Maple St. and Locust St. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Arthur Styles for DUI and DLS. During the arrest Styles became combative and engaged in fighting behavior with police.
 
Styles was then charged with Disorderly conduct. Styles was transported to Southern State Correctional Facilty where he was held in leiu of bail. Styles will appear in Windham County Superior Court on 10/19/2020 to answer to his charge.

Bernie Scarborough, 23, of Brattleboro, VT

On 10/4/20 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Wantastiquet Dr. for a motor vehicle violation.

Investigation revealed that the operator, Bernie Scarborough Jr, a 23 year old male from Brattleboro, currently had a criminally suspended license. It was also determined that Scarborough was impaired via alcohol while operating a motor vehicle.

Scarborough was placed under arrest for the above offenses, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation.

Scarborough will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 10/20/20 to answer his charges.
