Philip Patoine, 34, o Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman Over the past several months Brattleboro Police have received numerous complaints in regards to drug activity stemming from a house on Western Ave. On 11/16/20, Brattleboro Police were monitoring this house, when they observed a vehicle leave the residence. The vehicle acted in a highly suspicious manner, acting in a manner consistent with attempting to avoid police conduct. Due to the actions of the operator, along with prior knowledge of the situation that the officer had, reasonable suspicion that illegal activity was present, and officers conducted a motor vehicle stop to investigate. The operator, Philip H. Patoine, a 34 year old male from Brattleboro, provided a false name to law enforcement. Investigation revealed that Patoine’s license was criminally suspended. Investigaiton also revealed that Patoine, a convicted felon, was in possession of a firearm. Patoine was placed under arrest, and the vehicle seized in order to apply for a search warrant. Patoine was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. From there he was released on a citation for Criminal DLS, False information to Law Enforcement, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Patoine will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 11/18/20 to answer his charges.

Amber Harmon, 38, of Springfield, VT
Officer Cunningham On October 16, 2020, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Maple Street for an unrelated incident. Subsequent investigation revealed Amber Harmon was in possession of a stolen Vermont Driver’s License and giving a false name to the police. Harmon then fled the scene and was later located and arrested. Harmon was issued a citation for Receiving Stolen Property and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on October 27, 2020 to answer for the charge. Sylvester Little, 47, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Cable On 8/24/2020 at approximately 5AM officers arrested a male for a separate investigation. During the course of this investigation Sylvester Little provided information which was contrary to evidence obtained which could defer the investigation. Little was later relocated on 9/26/2020 and issued a citation for this offense. Little is to appear in Windham Superior Court on 11/3/2020 to answer to the charge of False Information to a Police Officer. Amber Harmon, 38, Of NH
Officer Penniman On 9/24/20 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle due to equipment violations. During the stop, probable cause was developed that certain drug laws were currently being violated. The passenger, Amber J. Harmon, a 38 year old female from NH, was found to be in possession of misdemeanor amounts of fentanyl and crack cocaine. During the interaction, Harmon lied about her identity. Harmon was taken into custody, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There she was lodged, and held on $200 bail. Officer Penniman On 7/1/20 Brattleboro Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to the plates not being assigned to the vehicle. The operator, later identified as Philip Patoine, a 33 year old male from Brattleboro, provided a false name to law enforcement. Patoine was found to have a warrant for his arrest for Escape, and his privilege to operate a motor vehicle was criminally suspended. Patoine was placed into custody, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and later transported to Southern State Correctional Facility. James Crocker, 37, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 6/29/20 Brattleboro Police made contact with a suspicious vehicle parked in the Morningside Cemetery. Investigation revealed that drug use was transpiring. One of the individuals present, James Crocker, a 37 year old male from Brattleboro, lied about his identity due to being under DOC supervision. Crocker was issued a citation for False information to Law Enforcement, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 8/11/20 to answer his charge. Ethan Pinsonneault, 22, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Emery On 08/20/19, the Brattleboro Police Department took a report of a wallet that had been stolen from a business on Main St. After an investigation, the male was identified as Ethan T. Pinsonneault, 22, currently residing in Brattleboro. Pinsonneault gave false names to the officers involved. Once his actual identity was discovered, he was found to have active arrest warrants in the State of Vermont. He was arrested on the warrants and also for the theft of the wallet and giving false names. He was ordered to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 10/08/19 to answer to the new charges. Ryan Bratton, 21, of Guilford, VT
Amy Worcester, 19, of Keene, NH Officer Penniman On the evening of 4/1/19, Brattleboro Police received several calls about a vehicle being operated erratically in the area of Orchard St. The vehicle was not located. In the early morning hours of 4/2, a call came in regarding erratic operation of a vehicle on Rt. 142, and the same vehicle description was given. Brattleboro Police located the vehicle, and attempted a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle refused to stop, and for safety reasons, Brattleboro Police did not pursue. Approximately an hour later, a report of a single vehicle crash was reported on Bonnyvale Rd. Upon arrival, the vehicle was unoccupied, and was recognized as the vehicle that had eluded police earlier. Through investigation of the evidence at the scene, police determined that Amy Worcester, a 19 year old female from Keene, NH, was involved, and had been in the vehicle. They also determined that Ryan Bratton, a 21 year old male from Guilford, VT, was involved as well. Police contacted the two parties, and questioned them about the events. After the investigation, it was determined that Worcester lied to police during a sworn statement, and then lied to police about Bratton’s current whereabouts. It was also determined that Bratton was operating the vehicle. Worcester was issued a citation for two counts of False Reports to Law Enforcement. Bratton was issued a citation for Criminal DLS, False Reports to Law Enforcement, Negligent Operation, and Attempting to Elude a Police Officer. It was also determined that Bratton violated his Probation Conditions of Release. Both will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 5/14/19. There were no injuries resulting from the crash. Carol VanWormer, 43, of South Burlington, VT
Officer Cable On 12/10/2018 at approximately 1619 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a female subject “huffing” outside a Putney Road Business. Responding Officers located Carol VanWormer (43 of South Burlington) matching the description. VanWormer was found to be in possession of an inhalant which is a violation of her court ordered conditions of release. VanWormer was issued the conditions on 12/10/18 stemming from a criminal case where she was caught misusing inhalants. VanWormer provided law enforcement with a false name during the investigation. VanWormer was brought to the hospital for an evaluation and later released with a citation. At approximately 1936 hours Brattleboro Police received another call about a woman entering a person’s vehicle and then “huffing”. Brattleboro Police responded and found VanWormer inside a vehicle that did not belong to her. VanWormer was in the process of using inhalants. VanWormer was arrested and lodged at the Brattleboro Police Department. VanWormer was held in lieu of $1,000 bail and ordered to be in court on 12/11/18 to answer to the charges of Criminal Contempt, Misuse of Inhalants and False Information to Law Enforcement. Officer Vinton On 05/18/18 at approximately 5:30 p.m. the Brattleboro Police responded to a local business parking lot for a vehicle being struck by a school bus. Upon investigation, it was determined the operator of the school bus, Andrea D. Royce, 50, of Townshend left the location without making contact with the owner of the damaged vehicle. Royce was later interviewed about the incident and it was determined that Royce provided false information to an officer. Royce was issued a citation for LSA and false information to an officer. Royce will appear at Windham Superior Court on 07/31/18 to face the charge. |
