Cher Lacount, 41, of Keene, NH
Officer Abualjadail On 11/29/21, the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop when one of the vehicle’s passengers, Cherie Lacount, provided officers with a false name to try and hide an active arrest warrant. Investigation revealed her true identity. Lacount was arrested on the warrant and issued a new charge of providing false information to law enforcement. She was cited to appear on 12/28/21 at the Windham County Superior Court to answer to her charge. Anyone arrested or cited by the Brattleboro police department is presumed innocent until convicted of a crime in court.

Jennifer Peduzzi, 51, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Carbone On August 1, 2021, Officers for the Brattleboro Police Department responded to South Main Street for a report of an intoxicated female stumbling into traffic. Upon arrival Officers learned that the female in question, Jennifer Peduzzi, had an active arrest warrant and had provided a false name to Officers. When attempting to place Peduzzi under arrest for the warrant, Peduzzi actively resisted the Officers. Peduzzi will face Resisting Arrest and False Report charges on September 7, 2021, in the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division. Jamie White, 30, of Greenfield, MA
Officer Penniman On 8/22/21 Brattleboro Police responded to a lodging establishment on Canal St. for a reported family fight. Upon arrival Police identified the involved parties, and observed the victim to need medical assistance. EMS was requested, and the female party was transported to the Hospital with serious, non life threatening injuries. It was determined that the male half; Jamie White, had caused serious bodily injury to his female partner. Furthermore, White lied about his identity, and caused damage to property that was not his. During the investigation, probable cause was developed that illegal drugs were in the room. Police executed a search warrant on the room to investigate the potential of illegal drugs in the room, and to gather further evidence for the crime of Domestic Assault. The search warrant yielded a felony amount of Fentanyl, prescription pills, and further evidence in regards to the Domestic Violence charge. White was ordered held in lieu of bail. White will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 8/23/21 to answer the charges of 1st Degree Agg. Domestic, False Info, Unlawful Mischief, Possession of Fentanyl, and Possession of Prescription Pills without a Prescription. William Bostwick, 38, of Guilford, VT
Officer Penniman On 5/2/21 Brattleboro Police investigated a suspicious car that was parked on Brown Ct. in Brattleboro. Investigation revealed that the occupant, William Bostwick, was in possession of Heroin. Furthermore, Bostwick provided a fake name to Officers. Bostwick was issued a citation, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 6/22/21 to answer his charges. Philip Patoine, 34, o Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman Over the past several months Brattleboro Police have received numerous complaints in regards to drug activity stemming from a house on Western Ave. On 11/16/20, Brattleboro Police were monitoring this house, when they observed a vehicle leave the residence. The vehicle acted in a highly suspicious manner, acting in a manner consistent with attempting to avoid police conduct. Due to the actions of the operator, along with prior knowledge of the situation that the officer had, reasonable suspicion that illegal activity was present, and officers conducted a motor vehicle stop to investigate. The operator, Philip H. Patoine, a 34 year old male from Brattleboro, provided a false name to law enforcement. Investigation revealed that Patoine’s license was criminally suspended. Investigaiton also revealed that Patoine, a convicted felon, was in possession of a firearm. Patoine was placed under arrest, and the vehicle seized in order to apply for a search warrant. Patoine was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. From there he was released on a citation for Criminal DLS, False information to Law Enforcement, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Patoine will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 11/18/20 to answer his charges. Amber Harmon, 38, of Springfield, VT
Officer Cunningham On October 16, 2020, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Maple Street for an unrelated incident. Subsequent investigation revealed Amber Harmon was in possession of a stolen Vermont Driver’s License and giving a false name to the police. Harmon then fled the scene and was later located and arrested. Harmon was issued a citation for Receiving Stolen Property and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on October 27, 2020 to answer for the charge. |
