Kevin Groh, 65, of Brattleboro, VT

Officer Law

On 10/31/2021 at approximately 0830 hours the Brattleboro Police Department went to a residence on Fairground Rd. where Kevin Groh was suspected to be living. It was known to the Brattleboro Police Department that Groh had an extraditable warrant out of Massachusetts. Groh’s warrant was for 3 counts of Rape of Child and 2 counts of Indecent Assault & Battery on Child Under 14. The warrant was confirmed and Groh was placed under arrest.

​Groh was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was held in lieu of bail. Groh is to appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 11/1/21 at 1230 hours.

Reginald Kelley, 51, of Westminster, VT

On 4/15/21 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Rd. on an unregistered, uninsured vehicle.

The operator, Reginald M. Kelley, a 51 year old male from Westminster, VT, was found to have an outstanding warrant in Vermont.

Kelley was also found to have an extraditable warrant out of New Hampshire.

​Kelley was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was held on bail, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 4/15/21 for the charge of Fugitive from Justice.

Derek Coleman, 50, of Vernon, VT

​On March 24, 2021 at approximately 1419 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for a suspicious complaint.

Officers located a male on scene who was identified as Derek R. Coleman. Subsequent investigation revealed that Coleman had an active extraditable arrest warrant.

​Coleman was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. Coleman was charged as a fugitive from justice, held on $25,000 bail, and will appear in the Windham County Criminal Court on March 25, 2021 to face the charge.

Buck Mitchell, 29, of Brattleboro, VT

On 03/01/2021 the Brattleboro Police Department arrested Buck R. Mitchell on an extraditable warrant out of the State of New Hampshire.
 
Mitchell was issued conditions of release, held in lieu of $15,000 cash bail and was transported to Southern State Correctional Facility. He was ordered to appear in court on 03/03/2021 at 1230 PM.

Christopher Baxter, 31, of Brattleboro, VT

​On 2/27/21 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on I91S for an equipment violation.

The operator, Christopher Baxter, a 31 year old male from Brattleboro, was found to have an extraditable warrant out of NH stemming from a Possession of Fentanyl charge.

Baxter was taken into custody, and briefly held on bail. Baxter was then able to post bail, and was issued a citation for Fugitive from Justice.

Baxter will appear at court on 3/1/21 to answer his charge.

Van-Christian Schryver, 39, Connecticut

On 2/8/21 Brattleboro Police Officers responded to a residence on Putney Rd to assist EMS with a medical response. While in the area officers observed Van-Christain Schryver-39 year old male from Connecticut. Officers were aware that Schryver had 2 extraditable warrants out of the State of Connecticut and was subsequently taken into custody. Schryver was held in lieu of $100,000 bail for the violation of probation warrants and will appear in Windham County Superior Court on 2/9/21.

Frank Merrell, 38, of Brattleboro, VT

On 12/2/2020 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were patrolling Canal St. when they conducted a car stop for a moving violation. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Frank Merrell a 38-year-old male from Brattleboro VT. Subsequent investigation revealed Merrell had an extraditable warrant out of NH for the possession of Fentanyl. Merrell was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro PD where he was lodged in lieu of bail. Merrell will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 12/3/2020 to answer to his charge.
