Furnishing alcohol to a minor; enabling consumption by a minor causing serious bodily injury, Simple Assault

Kayla Coburn, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On September 21, 2020 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of a female assaulting a male. Subsequent investigation revealed that Calijah Lindvall provided an 18-year-old female with alcohol. The female was later found unconscious, transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, and then later transported to the Darmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for her injury.
The investigation also found Kayla Coburn had committed the offense of Simple Assault when she assaulted Lindvall during the incident. Lindvall suffered a minor injury and was not transported to the hospital.
Lindvall was cited for Furnishing alcohol to a minor; enabling consumption by a minor causing serious bodily injury. Coburn was cited for Simple Assault. Both subjects will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 10/27/2020 to answer to the charges.
Charles Dix, 66, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/23/20 at approximately 0940 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Dept. responded to a residence for a report of alcohol being furnished to a minor.
Upon arrival Officers spoke with the complainant who advised her father, Charles J. Dix 66, of Brattleboro provided her 17 year old son with alcohol the night prior. Dix was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 8/11/20.
Kipamba, Leyeyo S – 21 of Townshend
On 6/6/2019 at approximately 8:02 PM Brattleboro Police received a call for a fight that occurred at a local park. The people involved had left the area but were later located outside of a residence on Marlboro Road.
Responding officers met with two 13 year old females and a male identified as Leyeyo S Kipamba (21 of Townshend). Subsequent investigation revealed that Kipamba had allegedly furnished alcohol and marijuana to both juveniles. Kipamba was issued a citation and released to appear at court on 7/23/19 to answer to the charge of Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor.
Further investigation revealed that the juveniles had engaged in a physical altercation. One of the juveniles was taken into state custody for the delinquent acts of simple assault and unlawful mischief. The juvenile damaged EMS equipment during a transport. The juvenile was later released to a state appointed guardian and is to answer to the charges at a later date and time. The juvenile victim received minor injuries.
