Nathan Hazlett, 47, of Brattleboro, VT
On 07/01/20 at approximately 10:30pm, A Brattleboro Police Officer was conducting a foot patrol downtown when they encountered Nathan Hazlett, whom they knew to have Court Ordered Conditions of Release prohibiting him from leaving his residence. Hazlett was taken into custody for Criminal Contempt.
In conducting a search of Hazlett incident to arrest, Officers located approximately 814 milligrams of Fentanyl, a felony amount on his person.
Hazlett was issued conditions of release, and transported to Southern State Correctional Facility where he was lodged in lieu of $2000 bail.
Justin Grover, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/18/2020 at approximately 0105 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the parking lot of a business on Canal Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers approached the subject in the vehicle and identified him as Justin M. Grover. Further investigation revealed that Grover was in possession of Fentanyl, a semi-automatic firearm, a large capacity magazine, and ammunition. These items were seized, and Grover was issued a citation for possession of a narcotic and possession of a weapon while committing a crime, and released. Grover is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on August 11, 2020 to face the charges.
Jared Butler, 43, of Putney, VT
On May 29, 2020, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department excuted a search warrant on a vehicle that was used in a suspected drug deal. Subsequent investigation revealed that Jared Butler, a 43 year old male, had fentanyl in his possession while operating the vehicle. Butler was cited and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 08/11/2020 to answer to the charge.
Denise Martelle, 54, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/10/20, Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop for defective equipment. Investigaiton lead police to believe that the operator, Denise M. Martelle, a 54 year old female from Brattleboro, was concealing narcotics within her vehicle.
Police seized the vehicle, and were granted a search warrant. The warrant was executed, confirming Police suspicions in regards to narcotics.
Martelle was issued a citation for 3 counts of Possession of a narcotic, along with a charge of possession of cocaine.
Martelle will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 8/11/20 to answer her charges.

Trent Johnson, 30, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/11/2020 at approximately 1802 hours the Brattleboro Police Department
encountered Trent Johnson and another female parked on the side of South Main Street. Johnson began to walk away from the vehicle when the Brattleboro Police
Department pulled up.
Johnson was detained at this point and through further investigation and a search of Johnson’s person he was found to be in possession of a firearm. Through further
investigation it was found that Johnson was in possession of 20 bags of Fentanyl and 65 bags of crack-cocaine
Johnson was arrested and charged with Possession of cocaine, Possession of a
depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, Possession of a firearm while committing a
crime and Criminal Contempt. Johnson is to appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 6/12/2020 to face the charges.
Elise Nuccio, 26, of Brattleboro, VT
On 3/26/20 Brattleboro Police located Elise M. Nuccio on Canal St. in Brattleboro. Police arrested Nuccio for incident 20BB02040 for Aggravated Operating a Vehicle without Owners Consent.
On Nuccio’s person Police located suspencted Fentanyl, weighing 4.3g with packaging.
Nuccio was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There she was processed, and issued citations for the following incidents:
20BB02116: Poss. Of Fentanyl
20BB02040: Operating without Owners Consent
20BB01344: Retail Theft
20BB02022: Simple Assault.
Nuccio was released with citations for the above offenses, and will appear in court on 6/16/20 to answer the above charges.
Craig Roys, 48, of Brattleboro, VT
Debra Bemis, 46, of Brattleboro, VT
On 3/22/2020 at approximately 1624 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were on foot patrol on Canal Street when they observed suspicious activity.
Officers approached the subjects and identified them as Craig M. Roys and Debra M. Bemis. Further investigation revealed that Roys was in possession of Fentanyl and Bemis was in Possession of a regulated drug which she did not have a prescription for.
Roys was issued a citation for Possession of Fentanyl, and released. Bemis was issued a citation for Possession of a Depressant, Stimulant, and Narcotic Drug, and released. Roys and Bemis are scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on May 26, 2020 to face the charges.
Reginald Dessasure, 25, of Brattleboro, VT
On December 31, 2019 at approximately 09:40 hours members of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canal St. for Defective Equipment.
Officers were able to identify the passenger of the vehicle as Reginald Dessasure age 25 of Brattleboro, who had two outstanding Vermont Arrest warrants. Dessasure was placed under arrest for the warrants. A search incident to arrest revealed that Dessasure was in possession of an unperscribed narcotic.
Dessasure was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted and photographed. Dessasure was issued a citation for possession of a narcotic. Dessasure is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 02/11/2020 at 0800 hours to answer to the charge.
Brianna Butler, 22, of Brattleboro, VT
On 12/5/19 Brattleboro Police made contact with a suspicious vehicle at a closed business on Canal St.
Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Brianna Butler, a 22 year old female, due to an extraditable warrant out of MA. Furthermore, probable cause was developed that Butler possessed narcotics in her purse.
A search warrant for her purse was applied for and granted. The subsequent search of her purse revealed fentanyl.
Butler was issued a citation for the offense. Butler will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/28/20 to answer her charge.
Jeremy Snyder, 31, of Chester, VT
On 12/1/19 Brattleboro Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Rd.
Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of the operator, Jeremy Snyder, a 31 Year Old Male from Chester, VT for possession of fentanyl (misdemeanor).
Snyder was issued a citation, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 1/7/20 to answer his charge.
