Hurlbert, Eric. B. 26 Year Old Male from Brattleboro
On 12/17/18 Brattleboro Police observed a vehicle leaving an area known for narcotic sales. Police observed the vehicle commit several motor vehicle violations, and initiated a stop on the vehicle.
The passenger, Eric Hurlbert, a 26 year old male from Brattleboro, was found to have an active arrest warrant, and was placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle yielded heroin that was in Hurlbert’s possession.
Hurlbert was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was lodged in lieu of bail. Hurlbert was issued a citation for possession of heroin, and will appear at the Windham County Superior Court on 1/22/19 to answer his charge.
Sorensen L. Thomas, 50, of Brattleboro, VT
On December 5 2018 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal St. for a suspicious complaint. Upon arrival officers met Thomas Sorensen, who appeared to be under the influence of illicit drugs. Subsequent investigation revealed that Sorensen had driven to the business but was too impaired to drive, had violated Court-ordered conditions of release by contacting a woman he came to the business with, and was in possession of heroin. Sorensen was arrested and held in lieu of bail. Sorensen will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on December 6 to face the charges.
Plunkett, Evan,W. 36 of Putney, VT
On 11/14/2018 at approximately 5:15am Brattleboro Police responded to Williston Street for a report of a subject passed out in a vehicle, hunched over in the driver seat.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with Evan W. Plunkett who was holding a hypodermic syringe in his hand. Officers also observed multiple bags of suspected Heroin on the front passenger seat.
Plunkett was subsequently placed under arrest for suspicion of Driving Under the Influene of Drugs. His vehicle was seized and a search warrant was later obtained for his vehicle. During the search, 6 bags of Heroin was seized.
Plunkett was issued a citation to appear in court on 01/08/2019 to answer the charges.
Rochefort, Kenneth, A Jr. 42 of Brattleboro VT.
On 11/6/2018 at approximately 1619 hours Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department located Kenneth Rochefort age 42 of Brattleboro in the Brattleboro Transportation Center. Rochefort had an active Vermont arrest warrant. After Rochefort was arrested on the warrant officers located a bag of heroin on his person. Rochefort was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Rochefort was held on the arrest warrant and issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court: Criminal Division on 12/18/18 to answer for the possession of Heroin charge.
Cynthia Radcliffe – 34 - Bennington
On October 11, 2018 Brattleboro Police located Cynthia Radcliff on Washington Street. Radcliffe had multiple active warrants out of the State of Vermont. Radcliffe was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department and held on $400.00 Bail. While at the police department police found Radcliffe to be in possession of heroin. It was also found Radcliffe had active court ordered conditions of release which she had violated. For these charges Radcliffe was issued a citation to appear in court on November 20, 2018
Hazlett, Nathan E., 46, of Brattleboro
On September 20 2018 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department noticed suspicious activity involving two people near a public building on Canal St. Officers approached the two, and one, Nathan Hazlett, was preparing to use heroin. Hazlett was arrested and later released with a citation for possession of heroin, and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on November 6 to face the charge.
Carlos Rosa, 61, of Staten Island, NY
On 9/14/18 Carlos Rosa, a 61 Year Old Male from Staten Island, NY requested that the Brattleboro Police Department help him in unlocking his vehicle.
Upon arrival, Police observed suspected heroin inside the vehicle.
After successfully unlocking the vehicle, Police attempted to place Rosa under arrest. Rosa resisted, and was quickly placed into custody.
Rosa was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where he was processed.
Rosa was issued a citation for Possession of Heroin and Cocaine, and resisting arrest.
Rosa will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 9/17/18 to answer his charges. Rosa was held in lieu of $5,000.00
Thomas J. Stafford, 40, of NH
On 7/26/18 Brattleboro Officers responded to a motel on Putney Rd. regarding drug paraphernalia left in a room. Officers contacted Thomas J. Stafford, the registered guest. Stafford was arrested on a warrant, and was in possession of 453 bags of suspected heroin. Stafford will appear in court on 7/31/18 to face the charges.
Johnson, W. Trent, 29, of Brattleboro
On 05/01/18 at approximately 7:00 p.m. the Brattleboro Police located Trent W. Johnson, 29, of Brattleboro in a local business with a warrant for his arrest. Upon investigation, it was determined that Johnson was in possession of Heroin and brass knuckles. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed for possession of the illegal items. Johnson was issued a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court on 06/19/18 to face the possession charges.
Greene, Cheldon, J, 40, of Springfield, MA
On 05/01/18, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a male causing a disturbance at a business on Canal St in Brattleboro. The male was later located at a motel on Canal St. After a brief investigation, officers were led to a room at the motel.
While speaking with another male in the room of the motel, it was discovered that there was suspected heroin in the room. A search warrant was applied for and granted for the room.
Officers executed the search warrant and located in excess of 500 bags of heroin and a large amount of crack cocaine. The occupant of the room, Cheldon J. Greene, was found to have 2 active arrest warrants in the State of Vermont for previous assaultive charges. Greene was also charged with providing false information to a police officer after giving several false names.
Greene was ordered held in lieu of $20,000.00 bail. Greene will appear in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on 05/02/18 to answer to the charges of Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Crack Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and False Information to a Police Officer.
