Receiving Stolen Property and False Reports to law Enforcement Authorities

Amber Harmon, 38, of Springfield, VT

On October 16, 2020, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Maple Street for an unrelated incident. Subsequent investigation revealed Amber Harmon was in possession of a stolen Vermont Driver’s License and giving a false name to the police. Harmon then fled the scene and was later located and arrested. Harmon was issued a citation for Receiving Stolen Property and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on October 27, 2020 to answer for the charge.

Dimas Ocasio, 44, of Brattleboro, VT

​On September 10, 2020, while on patrol on Central Street, in the town of Brattleboro, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department, observed a license plate on a vehicle that was previous reported stolen. Subsequent investigation revealed Dimas Ocasio was in possession of a stolen license plate, when he was found in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Ocasio was issued a citation for Receiving Stolen Property and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on October 27, 2020 to answer for the charge.

Buck Mitchell, 28, of Brattleboro, VT

On 08/17/2020 Brattleboro Police started an investigation to assist the Chesterfield Police Department with a residential burglary that occurred in Chesterfield, NH over the weekend.
 
Through investigation it was discovered that multiple items were stolen from the residence in Chesterfield to include credit cards. These credit cards were used at multiple locations in New Hampshire and through video surveillance, Buck R. Mitchell is seen at these locations.
 
Mitchell was located at a hotel in Brattleboro and was found to be in possession of an item that was stolen from Chesterfield. A search warrant was later granted for Mitchell’s residence and further items that were stolen from Chesterfield were located.
 
Mitchell was placed under arrest, transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was photographed, fingerprinted and released on a citation to appear in court on 09/01/2020 to answer the charge of Possession of Stolen Property. This investigation is ongoing and if anyone has any information pertaining to this incident is asked to contact Detective Kerylow at the Brattleboro Police Department.

Theresa Levesque, 44, of NH

​On 7/9/20 Brattleboro Police received a complaint that an individual sold them an iPad. The iPad, upon further investigation, was found to belong to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.

Investigation revealed that Theresa Levesque, a 44 year old female from NH, had been in possession of the iPad, and had sold it to an individual.

Levesque was located, and issued a citation for Possession of Stolen Property. Levesque will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 8/18/20 to answer her charge.

On February 5, 2020 Brattleboro Police were made aware of a stolen vehicle from Hinsdale, N.H..  Brattleboro Police were able to locate the vehicle on Frost Street in Brattleboro.  When Brattleboro Police met with the owner of the truck they were advised there were gift cards and a credit card stolen from inside the truck.  The owner reported the credit card was used at two stores in Brattleboro.
 
On February 11, 2020 Brattleboro Police were advised by the Northfield, M.A. police department they had a series of motor vehicle break-in’s and one vehicle had a credit card stolen out of it.  The credit card was used at two Brattleboro locations on February 8, 2020. 
 
On February 12, 2020 Brattleboro Police were made aware of a stolen vehicle from Northfield, M.A.. Brattleboro Police were able to locate the vehicle on Reed Street in Brattleboro.  Northfield M.A. Police also advised they had a series of motor vehicle break-ins and one vehicle had a credit card stolen from it and there was an attempted use of it at one location in Brattleboro
 
After an investigation took place police arrested Patrick Boyer for Operating without owners consent, possession of stolen property and Accessory before the fact.  Police also arrested Theresa Gay for possession of stolen property and fraudulent use of a credit card.
 
Boyer is schedule to appear in court on February 25, 2020 and Gay is scheduled to appear in court on March 31, 2020

On 01/18/2020 at approximately 1830 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were informed of a male attempting to use a stolen credit card at a business on Canal Street.

​Officers found evidence that Patrick Boyer committed the crime of Fraudulent Use and Illegal Possession; Seizure when he attempted to use a credit card that was not his at the business. Boyer was arrested and will appear in Windham County Superior Court on 02/25/2020 to answer to the charges.

Tigerlillie Dickson, 22, of Brattleboro, VT

On 9/22/2019 at approximately 1735 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a report of a stolen cell phone. The phone was tracked to Flat St. Subsequent investigation and tracking of the cellphone lead to the arrest of Tigerlillie Dickson who was in possession of the phone. The phone was in Dickson’s backpack and she was in possession of the phone for over 2 hours. Dickson was cited for being in possession of stolen property and will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 10/29/2019 to answer to the charge.

On 9/12/19 at approximately 1508 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Cottage St. to assist another agency with a compliance check.
 
Upon searching Akey’s residence it was found that he was in possession of heroin, crack cocaine, and multiple prescription pills that he did not have a prescription for. Akey was also in possession of a stolen iPad.
 
Akey was issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 10/29/19 at 0800 hours to face the charge.

Jesse Johnson, Sr, 40, of Brattleboro, VT

On 07/24/2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Main Street for a theft complaint. 

Through investigation it was determined that Jesse L. Johnson Sr had taken an item from the business without paying. Johnson was later located with the item in his possession. 

Johnson was issued a citation to appear in court on 09/03/2019 at 8am.

On 6/30/19 at approximately 1:45 PM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Western Ave for a report of a stolen bicycle. The complainant reported his bike had been taken within the past hour.
 
At approximately 4:15 PM Officers located the bicycle in the downtown Brattleboro area. Corey Whidden 28, of Brattleboro was attepting to sell the bike. Whidden was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 8/6/19 at 0800 hours.
