Corey Whidden, 29, of Brattleboro, VT
On 10/7/2019 at approximately 0357 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for a reported theft complaint. Officers reviewed surveillance images and videos from the theft and were able to locate the subject later that morning. The subject was identified as Corey A. Whidden. Whidden was issued a citation for Retail Theft and released. He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on November 12, 2019 to face the charge.
Glenn Rivet, Homeless of Keene, NH
On September 14, 2019, Brattleboro Police received a report of a retail theft from a grocery store on Canal Street that occurred the previous day. Investigation revealed that Glenn A. Rivet left the store with over $900 of merchandise that he did not pay for. A warrant for his arrest has been requested for this offense.
Kyle Murray, 19, of Vernon, VT
On 7/2/2019 Officer of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a retail theft complaint on Canal St. After subsequent investigation, on 9/8/2019 Kyle Murray was cited and released for the Retail Theft. Murray will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 10/15/2019 to answer to his charge.
Buck Mitchell, 27, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/24/19 at approximately 00:53 hours Brattleboro Police responded to a local business on Canal St. for a report of a theft. It was reported that a male, later identified as Buck Mitchell, had gone into the store and stolen several scratch tickets. Again Mitchell went into the store at approximately 02:07 hours and stole more scratch tickets.
Mitchell was later found and issued a citation for Retail Theft. Mitchell will appear at the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 9/17/19 to face the charge of Retail Theft.
Jesse Johnson, Sr, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 07/24/2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Main Street for a theft complaint.
Through investigation it was determined that Jesse L. Johnson Sr had taken an item from the business without paying. Johnson was later located with the item in his possession.
Johnson was issued a citation to appear in court on 09/03/2019 at 8am.
Debra Bemis, 45, of Brattleboro, VT
On 07/21/19, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Putney Rd for a report of a shoplifter. It was found that Debra M. Bemis, 45, of Brattleboro had stolen items from the store. She was issued a citation to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 08/27/19 to answer to the charge of retail theft.
Jon Gassert, 29, of Brattleboro, VT
On July 19, 2019 Brattleboro Police were dispatched to a business on Main St. for a report of retail theft that had just occurred. Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were able to locate this subject who was identified as Jon Gassert age 29 of Chester VT. Gassert was cited to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on August 27, 2019 to answer the charge of Retail Theft.
Karissa Littleton, 21, of Whitingham, VT
On 06/19/2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a business in the Harmony parking lot for a theft complaint.
Through investigation police were able to determine that Karissa M. Littleton stole an item from the business. Littleton was issued a citation to appear in court on 08/06/2019.
Burke, Jeffrey D- 39- Brattleboro, VT
On 6/21/19 the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for a report of a shoplifter. On arrival, officers identified the subject as Jeffrey D Burke, 39 years old of Brattleboro. Burke had been detained by Asset Protection after attempting to steal approximately $48 worth of alcohol. While investigating the theft it was determined that Burke had an active warrant for his arrest for a failure to appear in court related to a previous retail theft. Burke was subsequently taken into custody on the warrant and later transported to Southern State Correctional Facility where he was held in lieu of $200. Burke will appear in Windham County Superior Court on 6/24/19 for the warrant, and 7/30/19 at 0800 for the new charge of retail theft.
Geiling, Christopher M. 60 of Turners Falls MA
On 6/8/19 at approximately 12:55PM Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal St in the Town of Brattleboro for a report of a shoplifter in the store. Prior to police arrival on scene it was reported the male subject had left the store with approximately $425 in products without making payment, but had returned to the store when confronted by an employee.
Upon arrival the shoplifter was identified as Christopher M. Geiling 60 of Turners Falls, MA. Geiling was identified as the same male who had previously stolen products from this store on 4 separate occasions. Geiling was issued a trespass warning for the store and a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 7/23/19 at 0800 hours.
