Carol Jean VanWormer, 43, of South Burlington, VT
On December 6, 2018 at approximately 1648 hours, Brattleboro Police responded to the intersection of Canal Street and John Seitz Drive for a report of a female in the roadway. On arrival, Police determined that Carol Van Wormer was incapacitated after “huffing” from an aerosol can. Evidence was seized. She quickly recovered and moved along.
Police encountered her again approx. 25 minutes later in a nearby parking lot. She again appeared intoxicated from huffing. More evidence was seized and she was allowed to leave.
Less than 10 minutes later Police received a report that Van Wormer had stolen some items from a Pharmacy on Canal Street. She was located in the parking lot and was again intoxicated from huffing. She was taken in to custody after a minor struggle. She was processed at the Brattleboro Police Department and released on citation.
Within the next 30 minutes, Police received another call that Van Wormer was in the parking lot of a Pharmacy off of Putney Rd huffing. She was taken into custody without incident and later released. Van Wormer is being charged with improper possession, use, or sale of hazardous inhalants, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and retail theft.
Supernois, Thomas A. – 48 of Brattleboro
Olmsted, Stacy L. – 46 of Brattleboro
On 11/21/2018 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a male and female actively shoplifting from a local Putney Road business. Upon arrival officers met with employees who directed them to the subjects.
The subjects were then identified as Thomas A. Supernois (48 of Brattleboro) and Stacy L. Olmsted (46 of Brattleboro). Supernois and Olmsted were both caught by employees taking items from the store and leaving without paying. During the incident Supernois became belligerent and threatened to assault an employee at least twice. Officers also learned that Supernois and Olmsted had previously been issued trespass warnings for the business stemming from a prior theft incident.
Supernois was arrested on scene. A search of Supernois revealed more stolen items from a second Putney Road business. Supernois was later released on a citation to answer to the charges of Retail Theft, Unlawful Trespass and Disorderly Conduct.
Olmsted was issued a citation on scene and released to answer to the charges of Retail Theft and Unlawful Trespass.
Winslow, Shelby, J. 38 of E. Dover VT
On 10/10/18 at approximately 1721 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were notified of a theft that occurred at a business located on Elliot Street. Investigation revealed that Shelby Winslow had taken items from the business. Winslow was given a citation to appear in Windham Superior Court: Criminal Division on 12/4/2018 to answer to the charge of retail theft.
Wainwright, Linda, L. 41 Brattleboro VT
On 10/1/18 officers from the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street for a report of retail theft. Officers made contact with Linda Wainwright and a business employee. Investigation revealed that Wainwright had committed the offense of retail theft, and was previously trespassed from the business. Wainwright was arrested and processed at the Brattleboro Police Department. She was released on a citation to appear in Windham Superiour Court: Criminal Division on 11/13/18.
Baker, Joyce V. 44 of Brattleboro
Class, Brooke A. 21, of Brattleboro
On 9/27/2018 at approximately 1784 hours, Brattleboro Officers responded to a business on Putney Road for a report of Retail Theft. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the two suspects, Joyce V. Baker and Brooke A. Class both of Brattleboro. Both subjects were found to have active Trespass Warnings for the business. Both subjects were issued Citations for Retail Theft and Unlawful Trespassing. They are scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 11/13/2018 to answer to the charges.
Galbraith, Lynn A. 56 of Albany NY
On 10/4/18 at approximately 6:00PM Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Elliot St, in the Town of Brattleboro for a report of shoplifting. The busness owner reported the theft occurred in July, but the same female suspect was back in the store.
Upon arrival the female was identified as Lynn A. Galbraith 56 of Albany NY. Galbraith was issued a trespass warning for the business and released on citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court on 11/13/18 at 8:00 AM
Nathan Heist, 23, of Springfield, VT
On September 17, 2018 Brattleboro police responded to an Elliot Street business for some sort of dispute. When they arrived an investigation took place and police arrested Nathan Heist for attempting to steal beer and assaulting two store clerks at the business. Heist was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing and then released on a citation to appear in court on October 23, 2018.
Wainwright, Linda L. 41, of Brattleboro
On 9/10/18 at approximately 1600 hours an Officer of the Brattleboro Police Dept. responded to a local business for a report of shoplifting. The business advised they had a female in custody. The female was identified as Linda L.Wainwright of Brattleboro and a records check did show she had been previously issued a trespass warning for this business. Wainwright was arrested and transported to the Brattleboro Police station where she was fingerprinted and photographed for this incident. Wainwright was released on citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 10/16/18 at 0800 hours.
Anthony W. Daisey Jr. age 29 of Brattleboro
On September 10, 2018 the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a business on Main St for a retail theft complaint. Subsquent investigation revealed Anthony Daisey Jr. age 29 of Brattleboro had committed the theft.
Daisey was located the next day and issued a citation for Retail theft. Daisey is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on October 23, 2018 at 8:00am.
Campbell, Michael, J. 43 of Brattleboro
On 09/04/2018 Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Main Street for a theft complaint. Through investigation police were able to determine that Michael J. Campbell stole from the business. Campbell was issued a citation to appear in court on 10/23/2018.
