Keith Harvey, 51, of Brattleboro, VT
On 04/17/2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Main Street for a theft complaint. Through investigation police were able to identify Keith A. Harvey as the individual who stole an item from the business.
Harvey was later located and was issued a citation to appear in court on 06/18/2019 to answer the charge.
Arthur Fisk III, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On 04/09/2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Main Street for a theft. Through surveillance police were able to identify Arthur R. Fisk III as the subject who took an item from the business without paying for it.
Fisk was located at a later date and was issued a citation to appear in court on 05/28/2019
Whidden, Corey, A. -28- Brattleboro, VT
On March 28, 2019 at approximately 7:50PM Brattleboro police received a call at a downtown business for a theft. Upon arrival police met with Corey Whidden (DOB: 08/18/1990). Through subsequent investigation police determined that Whidden left the business with an item he did not pay for. Whidden was cited for Retail Theft and is due to appear in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on May 7, 2019.
Ervin King, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On February 1, 2019 at approximately 6:41PM Brattleboro police officers received a call at a store on Putney RD for a retail theft. Upon arrival police spoke with two employees and showed officers surveillance footage of the retail theft.
Through subsequent investigation Brattleboro police positively identified Ervin King (DOB: 10/17/1978) as he left the store with items he did not pay for.
On February 25, 2019 Brattleboro police cited King for retail theft and is due to appear in Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on April 2, 2019.
Schwarzenbach, Stephen.61 year old male from Dummerston
On 12/26/2018 Brattleboro Police responded to a business on Main Street for a report of a theft. Through video surveillance it was discovered that Stephen Schwarzenbach concealed a pair of gloves inside the store and left the business without paying for the item. Schwarzenbach was issued a citation to appear in court on 04/02/2019 to answer the charge.
VargasGarcia, Xavier, 31, Brattleboro, VT
On February 20, 2019 the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a local business for a reported retail theft. Following an investigation it was learned that Xavier VargasGarcia, 31, of Brattleboro had left the business with items he failed to pay for. VargasGarcia was issued a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on April 2, 2019 at 8am to answer to the charge.
Brenda Graves, Jr., 36, of Brattleboro, VT
On 01/16/2019 at approximately 7:47pm Brattleboro Police received a theft complaint from a business on Main Street. Through video surveillance police were able to identifiy the female as Brenda C. Graves Jr.
Graves was located at a later date and was issued a citation to appear in court on 03/26/2019 to answer the charge.
William Cayton, 24, of Brattleboro, VT
On 01/22/2019 at approximately 3:58PM officers of the Brattleboro Police Department received a call about a shoplifter at a business on Putney Road.
Upon arrival, police met with William Cayton at the business. While in the loss prevention office and through subsequent investigation, William Cayton admitted to stealing the items and leaving the store.
William Cayton was cited and released to appear in Windham Superior Court on March 12, 2019 at 8AM.
William Clayton III, 24, of Brattleboro, VT
On 1/15/19 the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Putney Rd. for a report of a retail theft. Information was also provided regarding a vehicle that was possibly involved in the theft. The vehicle was later located and subsequent investigation revealed that William Cayton III was responsible for the theft. Cayton later contacted the Brattleboro Police to discuss the incident. Cayton was subsequently issued a no trespass order for the business and issued a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court; Criminal Division on 2/26/19 to answer to the offense of Retail Theft.
Carol Jean VanWormer, 43, of South Burlington, VT
On December 6, 2018 at approximately 1648 hours, Brattleboro Police responded to the intersection of Canal Street and John Seitz Drive for a report of a female in the roadway. On arrival, Police determined that Carol Van Wormer was incapacitated after “huffing” from an aerosol can. Evidence was seized. She quickly recovered and moved along.
Police encountered her again approx. 25 minutes later in a nearby parking lot. She again appeared intoxicated from huffing. More evidence was seized and she was allowed to leave.
Less than 10 minutes later Police received a report that Van Wormer had stolen some items from a Pharmacy on Canal Street. She was located in the parking lot and was again intoxicated from huffing. She was taken in to custody after a minor struggle. She was processed at the Brattleboro Police Department and released on citation.
Within the next 30 minutes, Police received another call that Van Wormer was in the parking lot of a Pharmacy off of Putney Rd huffing. She was taken into custody without incident and later released. Van Wormer is being charged with improper possession, use, or sale of hazardous inhalants, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and retail theft.
