On October 4, 2021 at approximately 4:07pm, Brattleboro Police responded to a hold up alarm from People’s United Bank, located at 479 Canal Street in Brattleboro. On arrival, police learned that the suspect had already fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapons were displayed. The suspect is described as a white male approximately 5'5" wearing a black hood and a ball cap w/light blue face mask. He fled the scene headed southbound on Route 5 in a silver Nissan sedan with tinted windows. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Sergeant Greg Eaton.

Timothy Barbour, 57, of Brattleboro, VT
The Town of Brattleboro owns and maintains Living Memorial Park, and works through a partnership with “Living Memorial Park Snow Sports,” a non-profit organization that operates a T-bar ski lift and associated equipment at the park. On 2/11/21 at around 8:15PM, Timothy P. Barbour approached two adult volunteers working to close the T-bar lift facility for the day. Barbour allegedly threatened them with a large metal pipe and demanded money. A physical struggle ensued, and two people were injured, including Barbour. When police arrived Barbour was arrested. He and one of the volunteers, an adult man, were taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both subjects were released after treatment. Barbour was charged with assault and robbery and ordered held on $5000.00 bail. He will be arraigned 2/12/21 at Windham Superior Court. No skiers were present at the time of the incident. Other facilities at the park were in use, but at this time there is no indication anyone else was involved in the incident. Officer Carbone On 12/28/2020 at approximately 4:40 AM Brattleboro Police were alerted to a robbery at a local Canal Street business. Responding officers were told that the suspect claimed to have a weapon and that he had fled on foot. A description of the suspect was given and a short time later officers were able to locate him at another nearby business. The suspect was identified as Korbyn Bacon and he was taken into custody without incident. A search ended in locating stolen items but no weapon. Investigation showed that Bacon intimidated a female victim before stealing items within her possession. The victim was not physically injured. Bacon was also found to have an active Vermont arrest warrant. The warrant was issued when Bacon absconded from corrections custody while on probation stemming from a prior conviction of Assault and Robbery. Bacon was held in lieu of bail and is scheduled to appear in court on 12/28/2020 to answer to the above charges. |
