Cheryl Tine, 62, of Brattleboro, VT
On December 23, 2019, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a female acting disorderly. Subsequent investigation revealed that Cheryl Tine was acting disorderly when she tried to fight with the police. Tine was also charged with Simple Assault, when she kicked a male medical professional.
The male sustained minor injuries and declined treatment. Tine was cited for Simple Assault and Disorderly Conduct. Tine will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 02/04/2020 to answer to the charges.
Jeffrey Rivard, 36, of Brattleboro
On December 10, 2019 Brattleboro Police Officers responded to the area of Main St near the intersection with High St. for an assault. During the course of the investigation it was learned that Jeffrey Rivard age 36 of Brattleboro had assaulted the victim. Rivard was later located and taken into custody. Rivard is scheduled to appear in the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Divison on January21, 2020.
Justin Clough, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 11/25/2019 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a medical building on Belmont Ave. Subsequent investigation lead to the arrest of Justin E. Clough for Attempted Aggravated Assault and Simple Assault. Clough was transported to Southern State Correction Facility where he was held without bail. Clough will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 11/26/2019 to answer to his charges.
Matthew Brooks, 21, Brattleboro, VT
On August 30, 2019, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded a residence on Main Street, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a late report of assault. Subsequent investigation revealed that Matthew Brooks had violated his conditions of release when he assaulted a male at the Brattleboro Transportation Center.
The male sustained minor injuries and declined treatment. Brooks was cited for Simple Assault and Violation Condition of Release. Brooks will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 11/26/2019 to answer to the charges.
Kendra Pixley, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 09/30/19 at approximately 8:00am, Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Canal Street for a reported physical fight in progress. Upon arrival, Officers conducted investigation which resulted in the arrest of Kendra Pixley for the offense of Simple Assault. She was issued conditions of release, and issued a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court on 10/01/19. There were no serious injuries reported as a result of the altercation.
Stephen Springer, 62, of Brattleboro, VT
On 8/31/2019 at approximately 2108 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a report of a fight in progress on Putney road. Officers eventually transported Stephen Springer to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. While at BMH Springer assaulted a staff member by kicking them in the shoulder. Springer was placed under arrest and subsequently cited and released for Simple Assault. Springer will appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on October 8th 2019 to face the charge.
Gershom Moore, 45, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/26/2019 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Flat Street for a report of an assault.
Officers met the with the male victim who stated that he was assaulted. Evidence at the scene confirmed the victims statements. Officers obtained evidence and information about the assault. The victim was treated on scene by EMS for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers later located the suspect who was identified as Gershom Moore and issued him a citation for Simple Assault and released him. He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on September 17, 2019 to face the charge.
Jonathan Rutledge, 41, of St Johnsbury, VT
On 07/17/19, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the Brattleboro Transportation Center for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, it was discovered that Jonathan A. Rutledge, 41, of St Johnsbury VT had assaulted another male. The victim was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital with non life threatening injuries. Rutledge was lodged until sober and ordered to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 07/18/19 to answer to the charge of Simple Assault.
Robert Sherman, 47, Brandon, VT
On 7/5/19 at approximately 11:22 AM Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a parking lot in Downtown Brattleboro for a threatening complaint. The complainant reported a male subject, threw a bicycle at her and was now threatening her with a knife.
Upon arrival police made contact with the male subject, identified as Robert C. Sherman 47 of Brandon VT. Sherman was still holding the knife in his hand and threw it down. Sherman was moderately intoxicated, aggressive and continuing to make verbal threats towards the complainant. The complainant advised she had not been hit with the bicycle, and was not injured by the knife. A second victim was identified on scene who had been struck by the thrown bicycle. No medical attention was necessary for either victim.
Sherman was transported to the Brattleboro Police station where he was ordered held until sober. Sherman was later transferred to Southern State correctional facility where he was held on lack of $1500 bail. Sherman was issued a citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 7/8/19 at 12:30 PM.
Ford, Ayble M., 21, Brattleboro, VT
On May 14, 2019 at approximately 2045 hours the Brattleboro Police Department received a call regarding subjects in a vehicle that were shooting fireworks as they were driving on Main St. A license plate was obtained from this complaint. At approximately 2100 hours, the Police Department received a second complaint advising of a subject possibly shooting fireworks at vehicles on Canal St.
Officer’s made contact with a subject walking on Canal St that later turned out to be a victim of the same subjects shooting fireworks from a vehicle. Investigation revealed that as the vehicle traveled past the victim, a firework was shot at the individual striking him in the head. The victim did not seek medical attention immediately. At approximately 2251 hours, an Officer located the vehicle described in the first complaint. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Ayble Ford, 21, of Brattleboro for Possession of Fireworks and Simple Assault.
Ford was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was processed and released on a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on July 2, 2019 at 0800 hours.
