Melvin Harris, 43, of Brattleboro, VT
On 9/30/2020 at approximately 12:27 AM Brattleboro Police received a report of a dispute at a Canal Street Business. Investigation revealed that Melvin Harris had assaulted a male and female victim who received non-lifethreatening injuries. Harris was also captured on surveillance damaging property during the disturbance. Harris was arrested and later released on conditions of release to appear at court on 9/30/2020 to answer to the charges of Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Mischief

Calijah Lindvall, 21, of Brattleboro, VT
Kayla Coburn, 28, of Brattleboro, VT
On September 21, 2020 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of a female assaulting a male. Subsequent investigation revealed that Calijah Lindvall provided an 18-year-old female with alcohol. The female was later found unconscious, transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, and then later transported to the Darmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for her injury.
The investigation also found Kayla Coburn had committed the offense of Simple Assault when she assaulted Lindvall during the incident. Lindvall suffered a minor injury and was not transported to the hospital.
Lindvall was cited for Furnishing alcohol to a minor; enabling consumption by a minor causing serious bodily injury. Coburn was cited for Simple Assault. Both subjects will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 10/27/2020 to answer to the charges.
Dimas Ocasio, 44, of Hartford, CT
On September 2, 2020 at approximately 8:30am Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a Hotel on Canal St. for an assault that had taken place. After an investigation it was determined that Dimas Ocasio age 44 of Hartford CT had committed the offense of Simple assault. Ocasio was later located, arrested, and issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on October 27, 2020 at 8:00am.
Daniel Nesbitt, 37, of Bennington, VT
On 9/1/20 Brattleboro Police responded to Landmark Hill in Brattleboro for a report
of an assault.
Investigation led to the arrest of Daniel E. Nesbitt, a 37 year old male from Bennington, for two counts
of Simple Assault.
Through speaking with all parties involved, it was determined that Nesbitt physically assaulted a female earlier in the day. He then later physically assaulted a male as well. Neither sustained serious injuries.
Nesbitt was transported to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for minor injuries.
Nesbitt was issued a citation for two counts of Simple Assault. Nesbitt will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 10/13/20 to answer his charges.
James Owens, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/25/20 Brattleboro Police responded to the parking lot located at 499 Canal St. for an active physical fight.
Investigation revealed that James Owens, a 34 year old male from Brattleboro had assaulted 3 individuals.
Owens was placed under arrest for Simple Assault (X3), and disorderly conduct. Owens was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and released on a citation.
Owens will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 9/1/20 to answer his charges.
There were no injuries.
Justin Perdue, 29, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/9/20, Brattleboro Police were monitoring Justin Perdue, a 29 year old male from Brattleboro, at the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. At the time, Perdue was under arrest, and in Police Custody.
Perdue then assaulted a Emergency Room staff member. There were no injuries.
Perdue was issued a citation for Simple Assault, along with Assault on a Protected Professional with Bodily Fluids.
Perdue will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 8/18/20 to answer his charges.
Rodney Lumbra, 59, of Brattleboro, VT
On 7/8/20 Brattleboro Police were made aware of an active physical altercation taking place at a grocery store on Canal St. Police were already in the area, and were able to be on scene immediately.
Investigation revealed that Rodney Lumbra, a 59 year old male, got into a physical altercation with another individual.
Lumbra was placed under arrest for the assault, and found to be in possession of a misdemeanor amount of heroin.
Lumbra was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and releaed on a citation for Simple Assault and Possession of Heroin. Lumbra will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 8/18/20 to answer his charges.
Cheryl Tine, 62, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/27/20 Brattleboro Police responded to a residence on Brattle St. for a report of a Domestic Assault.
Investigation revealed that Cheryl Tine, a 62 year old female from Brattleboro, had assaulted a family member, and put another individual in fear for their safety. Investigation also revealed that she interfered with one of the victims attempting to call 911.
Tine was placed under arrest, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There she was processed, and released on Court Ordered Conditions of Release.
Tine was issued a citation for Domestic Assault, Simple Assault, and Interference with Access to Emergency Services. Tine will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 6/29/20 to answer her charges.
Justin Clough, 40, of Brattleboro, VT
On 6/26/2020 at approximately 1418 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to Main Street for a report of an assault. While responding officers received a detailed description of the suspect who fled on foot.
Officers met the with the male victim who stated that he was assaulted and that his glasses were broken. Evidence at the scene confirmed the victims statements. The incident occurred in a busy public place with a high volume of pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic. The victim sustained minor non-life threatening injuries.
Officers located the suspect nearby and identified him as Justin E. Clough. Clough was still displaying aggressive behavior in public. While investigating this incident it was discovered that Clough had recently entered a business on High Street that he was previously trespassed from.
Clough was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted, photographed, temporarily lodged, issued a citation and conditions and released. He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on June 29, 2020 to face the charges.
Christopher Pond, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
On 03/29/20 at approximately 11:14 hours, the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on High St for a report of a possible overdose. Upon arrival, it was determined that an assault had taken place. Following an investigation, Christopher J. Pond, 34 of Brattleboro was issued a citation for assaulting a visitor in the home. Pond was ordered to appear at Windham County Superior Court, Criminal Division on 06/02/20 to answer tto the charge of Simple Assault.
