Officer Washburn On January 2, 2021 at approximately 8:02am Brattleboro Police Officers responded to a hotel on Putney rd. for a reported theft and assault that had taken place. Officers arrived and after an investigation it was determined that Terri Carrington age 42 of Brattleboro had committed the offenses of Simple Assault, Petit Larceny, and Violation of Conditions of release. Carrington was taken into custody and transported back to the Brattleboro Police Department for processing. Carrington was held on $200.00 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on January 4, 2021 at 12:30pm.

Robert Covey, 60, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cunningham On December 25, 2020 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Flat Street, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of a male assaulting a female. Subsequent investigation revealed Robert Covey had committed the offense of Simple Assault when he kicked and elbowed a female that day. The female suffered a minor injury and was not transported to the hospital. Covey was cited for Simple Assault and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 02/02/2021 to answer to the charge. Justin Clough, 41, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Lockerby On 12/18/2020 at approximately 1927 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to an Inn on Putney Road for a report of an assault. Officers located the suspect and the victim and obtained statements. The suspect was identified as Justin E. Clough. Further investigation revealed that Clough had assaulted the victim. No life threatning injuries were sustained. Clough was issued a citation for Simple Assault and is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on January 26, 2021 to face the charge. Officer Llewelyn On 12/19/2020 Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department and Vermont State Police responded to a report of an assault at a residence on Upper Forest St. Upon arrival Officers saw many neighbors in the street and a victim needed help at a nearby home. The victim said Christopher Timmons was inside the home, is high on drugs, and is bleeding from an injury that was self-inflicted. Officers located Timmons in the residence and needed to use force to get him to become compliant. Timmons was taken to BMH where he was treated for non-life-threatening wounds. The victim in the case did not require medical attention. Timmons was later issued a citation to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 1/26/2021 to answer to the charges of DC, Resisting arrest, Simple Assault and Possession of LSD. Timmons was then released. Homer Parker, 52, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 12/11/20 Brattleboro Police were flagged down by an individual at a business on Putney Rd. The victim advised that he had just been assaulted, and knew his assailant. The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical treatment. Homer Parker, a 52 year old male from Brattleboro, was later located, and issued a citation for simple assault. Parker will appear at Windham County Superior court on 1/19/21 to answer his charge. Kevin Dennehey, 56, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Cunningham On December 07, 2020 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of a assaultive male. Subsequent investigation revealed that Kevin Dennehey caused a female to fear for her life when she would not give him money or provide him a ride. Dennehey then chased the female back into the business where he was stopped by security and staff. Dennehey was told to leave the property many times and refused. Dennehey also engaged in violent behavior when he pushed and pulled at gear of the staff members while they were protecting the female. The staff members also had to shield other co-workers from Dennehey when they were entering and exiting the building. Dennehey was cited for Simple Assault, Aggravated Disorderly Conduct, Disorderly Conduct, Unlawful Trespass and will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 12/08/2020 to answer to the charges. Jocelyn Pond, 31, Brattleboro, VT
Matthew Montgomery, 41, of Brattleboro, VT Officer Carbone On December 5, 2020, Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on South Street for a reported fight in progress. Upon arrival Officers were able to separate the parties and interview all who were present. Subsequent investigation lead to arrests of Jocelyn S. Pond (a 31 year old female from Brattleboro) and Matthew M. Montgomery (a 41 year old male from Brattleboro). Both Pond and Montgomery were both charged with two counts of Simple Assault, while Pond was also charged with Aggravated Disorderly Conduct and Hate Motivated Crimes. Pond and Montgomery are both the appear in the Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on December 7, 2020, to answer to the charges. All parties involved suffered injuries, but all declined to be treated by EMS. Melvin Harris, 43, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Cable On 9/30/2020 at approximately 12:27 AM Brattleboro Police received a report of a dispute at a Canal Street Business. Investigation revealed that Melvin Harris had assaulted a male and female victim who received non-lifethreatening injuries. Harris was also captured on surveillance damaging property during the disturbance. Harris was arrested and later released on conditions of release to appear at court on 9/30/2020 to answer to the charges of Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Mischief Calijah Lindvall, 21, of Brattleboro, VT
Kayla Coburn, 28, of Brattleboro, VT Officer Cunningham On September 21, 2020 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Canal Street, in the Town of Brattleboro, for a report of a female assaulting a male. Subsequent investigation revealed that Calijah Lindvall provided an 18-year-old female with alcohol. The female was later found unconscious, transported to the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, and then later transported to the Darmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for her injury. The investigation also found Kayla Coburn had committed the offense of Simple Assault when she assaulted Lindvall during the incident. Lindvall suffered a minor injury and was not transported to the hospital. Lindvall was cited for Furnishing alcohol to a minor; enabling consumption by a minor causing serious bodily injury. Coburn was cited for Simple Assault. Both subjects will appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 10/27/2020 to answer to the charges. Dimas Ocasio, 44, of Hartford, CT
Officer Washburn On September 2, 2020 at approximately 8:30am Officers from the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a Hotel on Canal St. for an assault that had taken place. After an investigation it was determined that Dimas Ocasio age 44 of Hartford CT had committed the offense of Simple assault. Ocasio was later located, arrested, and issued a citation to appear at the Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on October 27, 2020 at 8:00am. |
