Bernie Scarborough, 23, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Lockerby On January 13, 2021 at approximately 1648 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Putney Road for a defective equipment violation. The operator was identified as Bernie E. Scarborough of Brattleboro, VT. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Scarborough’s driver’s license was criminally suspended and he also had two active Vermont arrest warrants. Scarborough was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted and photographed. Scarborough was issued a citation for Criminal DLS and a criminal citation for the arrest warrants, and released. Scarborough is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 1/14/2021 to face the charge for the arrest warrants. He is also scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 2/23/2021 to face the Criminal DLS charge.

Christopher Baxter, 31, of Brattleboro, VT
Det. Kerylow On 12/31/2020 at approximately 0400 hours Brattleboro Police arrested Christopher A. Baxter on an active Vermont arrest warrant. During a search of his person incident to arrest, Baxter was found to be in possession of suspected Fentanyl. Baxter was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted, photographed and lodged in lieu of $1,000 cash bail for the arrest warrant. Baxter will appear in court today, 12/31/2020, for the warrant and was issued a citation to appear in court on 02/02/2021 for the Possession of Fentanyl charge. Officer Carbone On 12/28/2020 at approximately 4:40 AM Brattleboro Police were alerted to a robbery at a local Canal Street business. Responding officers were told that the suspect claimed to have a weapon and that he had fled on foot. A description of the suspect was given and a short time later officers were able to locate him at another nearby business. The suspect was identified as Korbyn Bacon and he was taken into custody without incident. A search ended in locating stolen items but no weapon. Investigation showed that Bacon intimidated a female victim before stealing items within her possession. The victim was not physically injured. Bacon was also found to have an active Vermont arrest warrant. The warrant was issued when Bacon absconded from corrections custody while on probation stemming from a prior conviction of Assault and Robbery. Bacon was held in lieu of bail and is scheduled to appear in court on 12/28/2020 to answer to the above charges. Alexander Williams, 31, of Madison, CT
Officer Lockerby On August 8, 2020 at approximately 2214 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 91 for a motor vehicle violation. The operator was identified as Alexander J. Williams of Madison, CT. Upon further investigation it was discovered that Williams’s driver’s license was criminally suspended and he also had an active Vermont arrest warrant. Williams was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted and photographed. Williams was temporaly lodged in lieu of bail for the arrest warrant. Williams eventually made bail and was issued a citation for Criminal DLS and a criminal citation for the arrest warrant, and released. Williams is scheduled to appear in Lamoille County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 8/10/2020 to face the charge for the arrest warrant. He is also scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 9/15/2020 to face the Criminal DLS charge. Philip Patoine, 33, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 7/1/20 Brattleboro Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle due to the plates not being assigned to the vehicle. The operator, later identified as Philip Patoine, a 33 year old male from Brattleboro, provided a false name to law enforcement. Patoine was found to have a warrant for his arrest for Escape, and his privilege to operate a motor vehicle was criminally suspended. Patoine was placed into custody, and transported to the Brattleboro Police Department. There he was processed, and later transported to Southern State Correctional Facility. Kevin Cameron, 55, of Brattleboro, VT
Sgt. Hamilton On April 30 2020 at approximately 2200 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Putney Road for a citizen dispute. Subsequent investigation revealed that on of the parties to the dispute, Kevin Cameron, had an active warrant out for his arrest. Cameron was issued a citation and released, and is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court: Windham County Criminal Division on May 1 to face the underlying charges. Joseph Butts, 29, of Brattleboro, VT
Female Operator, 35 of Brattleboro Officer Penniman On 3/15/20 at approximately 1900 hrs Brattleboro Police observed a vehicle that they believed Joseph Butts was a passenger in. Police knew that Butts had several warrants out of Vermont. Police initiated a motor vehicle stop on Pine St, and made contact with the operator, a 35 year old female from Brattleboro. Police also made contact with Joseph, who was the passenger. When police ordered Joseph out of the car, Joseph slammed the door, and the female operator took off. Joseph then exited the vehicle, and ran on foot into the neighborhood. A foot pursuit ensued, and Joseph was located and taken into custody. Joseph was placed under arrest for his warrants, along with resisting arrest. Furthermore, Joseph was found to be in violation of a court ordered Relief from Abuse order, and was in violation of his court ordered Conditions of Release. Joseph was held in lieu of bail, and will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 3/16/20 at 1230 to answer his charges. The female operator was placed under arrest for hindering arrest, and negligent operation. The female operator was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department, where she was processed, and releaed on a citation. The female operator will appear at Windham County Superior Court on 4/28/20 to answer her charges. Reginald Dessasure, 25, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Busch On December 31, 2019 at approximately 09:40 hours members of the Brattleboro Police Department conducted a motor vehicle stop on Canal St. for Defective Equipment. Officers were able to identify the passenger of the vehicle as Reginald Dessasure age 25 of Brattleboro, who had two outstanding Vermont Arrest warrants. Dessasure was placed under arrest for the warrants. A search incident to arrest revealed that Dessasure was in possession of an unperscribed narcotic. Dessasure was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department where he was fingerprinted and photographed. Dessasure was issued a citation for possession of a narcotic. Dessasure is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court Criminal Division on 02/11/2020 at 0800 hours to answer to the charge. Brandon Lee, 34, of Brattleboro, VT
Officer Penniman On 12/21/2019 at approximately 9:52 AM Brattleboro Police located and arrested Brandon P Lee (34 of Brattleboro) while on a motor vehicle stop on Winding Hill Road. Lee was held in liue of $25,000 bail for a Vermont warrant stemming from charges of Unlawful Restraint, Empeding a Public Officer, Weapons Offense, False Information to a Police Officer and Possession of Cocaine. Lee was also held with a consecutive $50,000 bail for a charge of Fugitive from Justice stemming from a Possession of Cocaine Charge from New Hampshire. Lee is to be seen in Windham Superior Court on 12/23/19 at 12:30 PM. Daniel Reddan, 37, of Bennington, VT
Officer Lockerby On October 1, 2019 at approximately 0358 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business near Belmont Avenue after obtaining information that there was a subject in the area with an active arrest warrant. Upon arrival officers located the subject and identified him as Daniel C. Reddan. Subsequent investigation confirmed the information that Reddan had an active arrest warrant. Reddan was taken into custody and transported by Probation and Parole to the Southern State Correctional Facility. |
