In the early morning hours of 4/2, a call came in regarding erratic operation of a vehicle on Rt. 142, and the same vehicle description was given. Brattleboro Police located the vehicle, and attempted a motor vehicle stop. The vehicle refused to stop, and for safety reasons, Brattleboro Police did not pursue.
Approximately an hour later, a report of a single vehicle crash was reported on Bonnyvale Rd. Upon arrival, the vehicle was unoccupied, and was recognized as the vehicle that had eluded police earlier.
Through investigation of the evidence at the scene, police determined that Amy Worcester, a 19 year old female from Keene, NH, was involved, and had been in the vehicle. They also determined that Ryan Bratton, a 21 year old male from Guilford, VT, was involved as well.
Police contacted the two parties, and questioned them about the events. After the investigation, it was determined that Worcester lied to police during a sworn statement, and then lied to police about Bratton’s current whereabouts. It was also determined that Bratton was operating the vehicle.
