Pamela S. Bostwick, 65, of Brattleboro, VT
On 11/6/19 at approximately 0845 hours Officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a local residential building for a report of a violation of conditions of release. The complainant reported a neighbor, Pamela Bostwick, was harassing him and has current conditions prohibiting her from doing so. A records check through dispatch confirmed Bostwick has active conditions prohibiting contact.
Upon arrival officers spoke with both parties. After the investigation was completed it was determined Bostwick had violated her conditions. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Brattleboro Police station where she was processed for the offense. Bostwick was released on citation to appear at the Windham Superior Court, Criminal Division on 11/8/19 at 0800 hours.
On October 20, 2019 Brattleboro Police responded to a residential fire at 125 Canal Street. The fire was put out on arrival and no one was hurt or displaced from the fire. Police are considering this fire an arson and are reaching out to the public for help. Corey A. Whidden, 29, of Brattleboro, VT
On November 3, 2019 at approximately 2308 hours, officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a residence on Frost Place for a report of a motor vehicle break in.
Subsequent investigation revealed that Corey A. Whidden had taken property from a vehicle that was not his.
Whidden was issued a citation and released. Whidden is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on 12/10/19 to answer to the charge.
Nathan B. Abbott, 38, of Keene, NH
On 11/2/2019 at approximately 0007 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Putney Road for a report that a male subject had broken the rear window out of a vehicle.
Upon arrival the subject was located and identified as Nathan B. Abbott. Further investigation revealed that Abbott had caused damage to a vehicle that was not his.
Abbott was issued a citation for Unlawful Mischief and released. He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on December 10, 2019 to face the charge.
Gary A. Hines, 68, of Brattleboro, VT
On October 31, 2019 at approximately 2115 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to the parking lot of a business on Putney Road for a report of an intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle in question, and after the ensuing investigation the operator, Gary Hines, was arrested for DUI. Hines was later issued a citation and driven home where he was released.
Thereafter officers noticed Hines walking on Putney Road towards his vehicle. Hines was warned that he was not to drive the vehicle, but thereafter returned to it and attempted to drive the vehicle out of the parking lot. Officers stopped the vehicle and Hines was once again arrested for DUI. Hines was lodged in lieu of bail, and will appear in Vermont Superior Court: Windham Criminal Division on November 1 to face the charges.
On 10/31/2019 at approximately 6:45 PM Brattleboro Police, Brattleboro Fire Department and Rescue Inc responded to a vehicle collision involving two pedestrians on Canal Street near Oak Grove Avenue. Investigation revealed that Michael Floyd (39 of Brattleboro) struck a 28 year old male and a 29 year old female in a crosswalk with his vehicle, a 2009 Honda Civic. Both pedestrians sustained non-life threatening injuries and were transported by ambulance to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital.
Canal Street was closed in that area between 6:45 PM and 7:05 PM.

Corey R. Hale, 33, of Brattleboro, VT
On 10/30/2019 at approximately 2215 hours officers of the Brattleboro Police Department responded to a business on Putney Road for a report of a physical dispute.
Upon arrival officers located the subjects that were involved in the incident. Further investigation revealed that Corey R. Hale had initiated aggressive behavior in a public place.
Hale was issued a citation for Disorderly Conduct, and released. He is scheduled to appear in Windham County Superior Court: Criminal Division on December 10, 2019 to face the charge.
Brandy R. Rockwell, 35, of Brattleboro, VT
Craig M. Roys, 48, of Brattleboro, VT
On October 25, 2019 a member of the Brattleboro Police Department was on bicycle patrol in the downtown business district when they observed two individuals walk behind a building on Flat St. Investigation led to the arrest of Brandy Rockwell, 35, and Craig Roys, 48, both of Brattleboro for Possession of Fentanyl. Roys and Rockwell were cited to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on December 3, 2019 at 0800 hours to answer to the charge.
Bobby Smith, 49, of Brattleboro, VT
On October 24, 2019 the Brattleboro Police Department received a call from a local grocery store advising that a male had just left the store with items he had not paid for. Investigation led to the arrest of Bobby Ray Smith, 49, of Brattleboro. Smith was issued a citation to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on December 3, 2019 at 0800 hours to answer to the charge of Retail Theft.
Nicholas Lapedota, 38, of Brattleboro, VT
On October 5, 2019 officers of the Brattleboro Police Department were dispatched to a report of a male subject sleeping in a hallway inside of a residence on Western Ave that he had no legal right to be in. Upon the arrival of officers the male had already left on foot in an unknown direction. Subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Nicholas Lapedota, 38, of Brattleboro. Lapedota was cited to appear at the Vermont Superior Court – Windham Criminal Division on November 26, 2019 at 0800 hours to answer to the charge of Unlawful Trespass into an Occupied Dwelling.
