Timothy Barbour, 57, of Brattleboro, VT
The Town of Brattleboro owns and maintains Living Memorial Park, and works through a partnership with “Living Memorial Park Snow Sports,” a non-profit organization that operates a T-bar ski lift and associated equipment at the park.
On 2/11/21 at around 8:15PM, Timothy P. Barbour approached two adult volunteers working to close the T-bar lift facility for the day. Barbour allegedly threatened them with a large metal pipe and demanded money. A physical struggle ensued, and two people were injured, including Barbour.
When police arrived Barbour was arrested. He and one of the volunteers, an adult man, were taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both subjects were released after treatment. Barbour was charged with assault and robbery and ordered held on $5000.00 bail. He will be arraigned 2/12/21 at Windham Superior Court.
No skiers were present at the time of the incident. Other facilities at the park were in use, but at this time there is no indication anyone else was involved in the incident.
