With the assistance of the Rutland Police Department Joseph Alexander was charged with Attempted Luring of a Minor/Lewd and Lascivious Conduct after masturbating online (multiple times) to a Brattleboro under cover officer who was portraying them self as a minor. Chat logs indicate Alexander thought he was speaking with a subject under the age of 16, and talked about how he wanted to meet this subject. The majority of this chat was sexual in nature, which was brought on by Alexander. Online conversation started on 06/28/07 and ended mid October. A search warrant was issued on Alexander's residence, in Rutland Vermont, where his personal computer was seized as evidence.

Travis Papineay (23) of Worhester
Travis Papineau has been charged with Possession of Child Pornography after his computer was seized by the Vermont State Police, in Worchester, VT on 03/09/07 and brought to the Brattleboro Police Department per our search warrant. The Brattleboro Police Department applied for a search warrant on Papineau's computer, after Papineau showed up in Brattleboro on 03/09/07. Papineau thought he was meeting a minor for sexual acts, and was charge on 03/09/07 for Luring a Child. Detective Erik Johnson conducted a forensic analysis on Papineau's computer, looking for evidence regarding the offense, which took place on 03/09/07, and while conducting this forensic analysis Child Pornography, was discovered. Papineau is facing charges in Washington County because that is where his computer and images of child pornography originated

Laboy was located at the Hampden County Jail in Ludlow, MA and a detention order was placed on Laboy based on an active Vermont arrest warrant. This warrant stems from a sexual assault investigation conducted in Feb. '07.

Roger Davis (60) of New Jersey
A joint investigation involving the Brattleboro Police Department and Division of Family Services began in July, 2006. As a result of this investigation Davis was arrested and charged with the offense of L&L with a child under 16.

Arrest warrant issued for Toby J. Gagne (age 35) for a violation of Duty to Report
Arrest warrant has been issued for Gagne for failure to annually verify his address with the Vermont Sexual Offender Registry. Gagne was convicted in November 1997 out of Windham District Court for Sexual Assault under 16 years of age.

Brattleboro police responded to a report of a possible drunk driver. Beers was located in the Harmony parking lot after parking her vehicle. Beers failed sobriety exercises and was taken into custody for DUI #2.

Arrested 2/13/07 in Springfield, MA as a Fugitive from Justice
Moises Silva (26) of Springfield, MA
Officers from the Springfield, MA probation office as well as members of the MA State Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit arrested Silva. Silva was arraigned at Springfield District Court as a fugitve from justice and violation of probation. The fugitive warrant was in relation to a sexual assault investigation filed on 9/21/06 by a 17 year old female stating she had been raped by several men at a local hotel in Brattleboro.

Arrested 2/8/07 for Aggravated Sexual Assault and Enabling Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor
Shawn A. Thomas (28) of Brattleboro
Arrest resulted after investigation of a sexual assault complaint filed on 9/21/06. Complaint was received from a 17 year old woman stating she had been raped by several men at a local hotel in Brattleboro.

On 2/7/07 Domino's Pizza was Robbed

A male dressed in a hooded white/light gray jacket with a hunter green symbol over the left pocket. This subject was also wearing a half face ski mask with sun glasses, and gloves. Subject was described as 6'2" and approx. 175 lbs with a raspy voice. Subject entered Dominos at approx. 20:52 hours, brandished a knife, and demanded cash. Subject left the scene on foot.

16 year old male of Brattleboro
The student was at Brattleboro Union High School and was found to be in possession of a folding knife in the school building. The student was suspended from school and cited to appear in Windham District Court at a later date and released into the custody of a parent.

Arrested 01/15/07 for DUI and Possession of Marijuana
Lindsey A. Gorman (35) of New Jersey
Gorman was stopped for speeding and failed her field sobriety assessments. Gorman blew a 0.133 BAC at roadside. Gorman was arrested for DUI and during investigation, approx. 13 grams of marijuana was found in Gorman's vehicle.

Joshua L. Damon (30) of Brattleboro
Brattleboro police tried to stop a vehicle for running through a stop sign. The vehicle refused to stop for the officer and a pursuit was initiated. Police ended the pursuit and later located the suspect vehicle. After investigation Damon was arrested and charged with the offenses.

Panton was charged as a result of an investigation of thefts that occurred in Brattleboro. Panton is alleged to have passed the checks and used a stolen credit card at several area businesses.

John F. Bonnette (58) of Putney
Police responded to a motor vehicle collision and determined one of the operators involved in the collision (Bonnette) operators license was suspended. Bonnette was also issued a ticket for possessing an open container in his vehicle.

On 12/23/06 Brattleboro police received report of 4 smashed windows at Falvey Pool and Spa.

On 12/16/06 it is alleged Tirrell entered Brattleboro Mobil at Exit 3, brandished a knife, demanded money and fled the scene on foot.

Timothy D. Forrett (23) of Dummerston
Following the investigation of a motor vehicle collision, police arrested Forrett for DUI. He was transported to the Brattleboro Police Department and shortly after entering the building, Forrett escaped while still being handcuffed. The following morning police continued the investigation and Forrett was arrested and still handcuffed at the time of his arrest.

Retail store employees stopped a 17 year old after leaving the store, setting off the alarm. The 17 year old was found to be in possession of clothing which had not been paid for.

Staff at the local high school reported suspicious activity in the gym locker room area. Investigation by police and school security lead to the arrest of the 17 year old for possession of marijuana.
