Sarah Dreher

The Community Support Specialist was hired by HCRS to support, assess and provide follow up to individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse issues referred by the Brattleboro Police Department and community providers.

Program Activities and Goals

· Work collaboratively with the Brattleboro Police Department and support them in utilizing the community resources appropriately and thus reduce recidivism.
· Assess the unmet social service needs of individuals.
· Coordinate with social service providers and other support systems.
· Identify community resources to creatively address needs of those served by this program.
· Decrease use of emergency and acute care services.
· Improve the quality of life for residents of Brattleboro by contributing to the reduction in crime.
