The Brattleboro Police Department is currently on the first floor of
the Municipal Center at 230 Main Street, across from the Windham District
Court House, where it has been located since 1953. Police quarters are
also shared with Brattleboro Central Dispatch.

Brattleboro Lockup
The department has 5 temporary holding cells, located in the basement.
These are used not only by the department, but also other area law enforcement
and correctional agencies. Prisoners are usually kept in our facility
less than 48 hours while awaiting arraignment at District Court.

Department Vehicles
A fleet of 14 vehicles are fielded by the department; 10 marked vehicles,
3 unmarked vehicles, and a community services van.

Brattleboro Central Dispatch
In December of 1997 Brattleboro Police, Fire, and Rescue Inc. joined
dispatching forces to better serve the citizens of our community. Two Communication
Specialists are on duty at all times to take your call and dispatch the
appropriate personnel to handle your emergency.
Staffing
Currently, the department has a staff of 27 sworn members and 20 support
personnel. If you would like to find out more about a career at the Brattleboro
